《The Queen's everything gxg》Chapter 3

After everyone was processed they told the group to stand in a line. Nilsa was at the front, guiding them to another room, there were guards everywhere to make sure they couldn't escape, they all shook with terror afraid of what was next.

The guards were acting impatiently, even that big muscly guard was pushing the guys around more.

They led the humans down a corridor and up more stairs, Aerilyn couldn't have been more lost, but she did think they did it on purpose so that they wouldn't know how to escape or where they were in the first place.

As she walked up the corridor, behind Ev, Ren approached her, inhaling a deep breath. He came too close for Aerilyn's liking, looking like he wanted to do something. It seemed like he had it in for her for no reason at all.

'Get away from me' Aerilyn moved to take a step back. Feeling vulnerable.

'What are you going to do about it human' he said before shoving her hard, Aerilyn fell to the floor with force. He must be frustrated, or not getting enough blood, either way she was now his new victim.

He walked off and Evelyn helped her stand back up.

'Thanks' Aerilyn said sheepishly.

'You didn't deserve that' she told her.

'We don't deserve any of this' Aerilyn clarified. The girls got told to move along by the others. Aerilyn brushed herself off and carried on, making sure to stay far away from him. The group walked into a big auditorium, with stretcher beds, like something from the war. Lights hung from the ceiling, there wasn't much in there, plain white walls, tall ceilings, wooden floorboards that had seen better days.

The beds did not look comfy but then again they were use to things not being comfy. Back when Aerilyn and Eli were moving around, anywhere could be classed as a bed, in fact they hadn't slept in a bed for a few years now. They were hard to come by.

The group were told to stand in a straight line against the back wall, so that the muscly vampire could talk to them.

Before they did they opened the door and dragged the guys in, Aerilyn sighed in relief when she saw Eli. He was safe, that's all that mattered. Eli's eyes found her straight away, they were trying to tell each other that they were okay through eye contact.

Once they were all together, the strong vampire before stood in front of them all. They still did not know his name.

'You will each be assigned a bed, the toilets are in the corner of the room, if we suspect you are up to anything you will be punished, lights out at 10' nobody dare question him, he was one of the scariest out of them all due to his sheer size. He had scars on his arms and face, Aerilyn could tell he had fought a lot.

Aerilyn felt a pang in my stomach as they hadn't eaten or drank anything all day, a lot of them would be too exhausted to do anything if they didn't get some food soon.

Scavenging what they could was what they use to do, but that still wasn't enough and it didn't look like they were going to feed them here Aerilyn thought.

Aerilyn's bed was next to Evelyn's thankfully, there were other people in here too, it wasn't just her family anymore, it was whoever the vampires caught.

There must have been about 50 of them here, at this makeshift camp, it had no windows, it was empty apart from the beds and toilets. The vampires can't have been expecting them because of how disorganized they were, there was nothing. There were people Aerilyn knew nothing about and that is why she had to be extra careful.

Everyone mostly sat on their beds, but Aerilyn took herself away and sat against the wall, it made her feel safe, because someone couldn't creep up on her, that is until lights out.

Aerilyn noticed Nilsa had come back into the room a few hours later and she looked directly over at her. A second later and she was stood in front of Aerilyn, vampire speed was the only explanation.

'You're an interesting one, not quite like the rest' she remarked.

Aerilyn was just trying to mind her business and not get involved, but that didn't seem to work. She looked up at her from her position, she had taken off her armour and was now wearing a long coat and trousers, she seemed different from the other vampires, but Aerilyn didn't want to stick around long enough to test that theory.

'It's been a long day, why don't you get some rest' she said.

Aerilyn shrugged her shoulders 'I'm not tired, what's the point'

'I can tell when you are lying, you are very tired, stop fighting it' she smirked.

'Oh yes, I forgot, the vampire intuition' Aerilyn replied sarcastically. She held her hands up in defeat, Aerilyn was not sure what her plan was coming over here and talking to her but it definitely wasn't working out, at least her eyes weren't red anymore.

'You're wondering if I fed' she poised.

'I'm not wondering, I know you have' Aerilyn retorted.

She scoffed and turned around.

'Lights out everyone, to your beds'. She called out, luckily Ren wasn't here otherwise there would have been no way she was going to go to bed after what had happened today. Aerilyn said good night to Evelyn and tried to get what sleep she could.

The next day, Aerilyn woke up, hoping it was all just a dream. Evelyn was still here and she looked around for Eli, he was asleep still. It has been an awful night, when she did finally get off to sleep, she kept waking up anyway.

There was no sign of any breakfast or lunch and Aerilyn was wondering if they had forgotten that humans need to eat or drink to survive. Some of the others started to protest about it, only to be told to back off. In a strange way, some of the guards were trying to befriend the humans, by talking to them, it was strange. In another way, some of them like Ren wanted nothing to do with them.

Aerilyn walked over to Eli and sat down, 'what are we going to do if they don't give us any food or drink, we can't go on for much longer' she whined.

'I know, stupid vampires, I keep thinking we can find a way out, but there's no way, even Alex is at a loss, he thinks they are holding us here until they can find somewhere for us to go, slaves he said' Eli showed worry and doubt.

Aerilyn placed her hand on her brothers arm, 'there still hope yet, what about the resistance, they are always trying to get people out' she had to keep my hope.

'Maybe, it's a long shot, if only we could have got there or get word to them, they are building in numbers' Eli replied.

'There's no way to make contact' Aerilyn replied just as Ev walked over.

'We are stuck in here, how the hell do you think we are getting word out, we don't even know what floor we are on or where we are' Ev spat.

'Shhh' Eli and Aerilyn said in unison.

'Keep your voice down, are you trying to get us killed' Eli was angsty.

'You do realise that they can hear anything, you guys need to study them a bit more. They can hear you peeing, they can hear everything!' She exclaimed. Her humour did not phase us, however, her humor is what kept them going sometimes.

At lunch time, everyone was going crazy, the vampires had made an announcement that some important people were coming to see them that evening, but Aerilyn wasn't interested.

She was so thirsty and hungry that her stomach was beginning to bother her. She felt weak.

Aerilyn mostly stayed alone whilst her brother spoke to the others, which was fine because he could tell her the important parts later.

Saryn and Alex were talking, so Aerilyn went over to speak to them.

'Did you hear about these important people?' she asked them.

'Yes they are the least of our worries, it's probably some low level council members, it's their evil Queen that's the problem, she slaughters us and her brother is just as bad. They live up in the castle, feeding off of us, taking our women, it's sickening. The Queen is still weak though, she hasn't found her mate'. Alex countered.

Aerilyn rose my eyebrows at this, had he met the Queen, she hadn't met anybody who had and what was a mate?

'How do you know all this?' she asked him.

'We haven't all lived such a sheltered and privileged life'. Aerilyn sighed, knowing he was right.

Aerilyn went and sat back down against the wall after that, contemplating what was said. She hadn't heard much about the Queen, but that's because her parents didn't want them to know. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but now it was costing her.

There were rumours that she was beautiful, but a killer, the worst of her kind, she would have no feelings, and everything she would do for her family and herself. She had taken over from her father who had caused the uprising, as far as Aerilyn knew most were happy with her rule.

But there were enemy clans or some council members who did not agree with her, that's what she understood from overhearing conversations she wasn't suppose to be listening to when she was younger.

They say she looks 25 but is really near to 150.

Forgetting about that, Aerilyn realised it didn't smell particularly nice in here anymore, she missed the fresh air and greenery around her.

The important people had apparently arrived but Aerilyn didn't bother looking, she could only tell because most people went quiet and the atmosphere in the room had took a turn for the worst.

She didn't care for vampires especially ones who thought they were above everyone else. These council members could shove it, Aerilyn was too weak and tired to care.
