《Submission》Chapter 13

When Lorelei and Jesse got outside of The Alibi, she could hear the pounding music coming from inside. The neon lights provided a glow in the night air. Lorelei's grip on Jesse's hand tightened as they stepped inside. Jesse paid their cover and Lorelei held her breath as they went into the club.

Lorelei breathed again when she saw how dark it was inside. Multicoloured lights shone onto the stage. Music was pounding in her ears. She may be able to hide amongst the crowd.

There were multiple stages placed throughout the club. Most of them had a girl in barely any clothes twirling around a pole. Lorelei had expected men to be hollering at these women, trying to tuck bills into their G-strings, and trying to jump on stage, but everyone seemed well behaved. Men and women were sitting in chairs with drinks and would place bills on the stage.

"My friends are downstairs," Jesse said.

Lorelei followed Jesse as he pulled her to the back of the club. Her knees shook and she struggled to walk down the steep stairs in her heels. She clung to Jesse's arm to maintain her balance. She did not know much about The Alibi, but she did not know that there was a basement.

They walked into a room that was more well lit. There was only one stage, and instead of it being a small circle upstairs, it was a long platform. There were fewer tables and chairs placed around the platform. One of the most buff men Lorelei had ever seen was on stage almost naked.

Lorelei raised a brow, curious as to why Jesse just brought her to a male strip club. She followed beside Jesse as he walked over to a table full of people. There were three men and a woman. Their attention went from the stage to Lorelei and Jesse. They all greeted them as they sat down.

"Jesse, good to see you," the one man said. He had his arm around the girl.

"Thanks, Mateo," Jesse said.

"Who is this?" the woman said with a smile.

Lorelei was intimidated by the beauty of this woman. She had large dark eyes and high cheekbones. She was leaning over the table and her chest was spilling out of her tight silver dress. Her dark hair was twisted and pinned on the top of her head. A black and grey tattoo of a tiger was running down her arm. She had what looked like a collar around her neck. Lorelei realized that all of his friends were into kink too.

Lorelei jumped when Jesse put his hand on her thigh.

"Jody, this is Lorelei," Jesse said.

"Nice to meet you, Lorelei," she said.

"This is Ash and Zeke," Jesse introduced the two other men.

Lorelei nodded. A lump was growing in her throat, and she was afraid that her voice would betray her and come out in a squeak. She had never been around multiple people that are into kink. She was on edge because she had no clue what these people were going to do in a club full of people.

Jody drained her drink before setting it down on the table. She flashed Lorelei a smile.

"Let's go get a drink, Lorelei," she said.

Jesse's fingers curled tighter into Lorelei's thigh.

"She just got here," Jesse said.

"Exactly," Jody said. "She needs a drink now."

"Jody-"

"What would you like to drink, Lorelei?"

"Vodka," Lorelei blurted out.

Jody smirked.

"I like her already," she said.

Jesse sighed before taking his hand off of her leg. Jody stood and motioned for Lorelei to do the same. Lorelei stood and followed Jody to the bar in the back. Despite wearing stilettos, Jody was much shorter. Lorelei looked over her shoulder to see Jesse watching them.

"What can I get you ladies?" the bartender asked.

He was wearing a T-shirt that seemed to be two sizes too small, and the man looked like he could be dancing on the stage himself.

"Two Kamikaze shots," Jody said.

"Shots?" Lorelei asked. She was expecting her to order two regular drinks. She had not done a shot since university.

"Yeah." Jody nodded. "I'm glad to finally have another girl here again. We're going to have fun."

"Coming right up," the bartender said.

Jody tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. She leaned against the counter. Lorelei looked behind her again to see that Jesse was still watching them. The bartender placed the two shots on the counter. Jesse's eyes went wide and he moved to stand. Mateo put his hand on Jesse's shoulder and pushed him back down in his seat. Jody laughed.

"Damn," Jody said. "I haven't seen Jesse this possessive over a girl in a long time."

"What do you mean?" Lorelei asked.

Jody waved her hand to dismiss her.

"Nevermind," she said. "Let's drink."

Lorelei picked up her shot glass and clinked it with Jody's before downing the shot. Her throat burned from the alcohol. She struggled to not make a sour face as she set the glass back down on the counter. Jody snapped her fingers and ordered them another round. Lorelei had to take a few deep breaths before she drank the next Kamikaze.

"You're fun," Jody said. "Now, let's get the boys their drinks."

Jody knew everyone's order. Lorelei's head began to spin as she shifted her weight from foot to foot. She looked over at Jesse to see him talk to Ash. She wondered if he saw them do that second shot.

They carried the drinks over to the table. Lorelei set Jesse's beer down on the table in front of him. He put his arm around her shoulders once she was sitting. He pulled her in close and kissed her cheek. Jody rolled her eyes as she sipped her drink. Lorelei's was lightheaded as she took a drink of the cocktail Jody had ordered.

"How long have you two known each other?" Ash asked.

"About a week," Jesse said.

Jody snorted. "Honeymoon Phase."

Jesse curled his fingers into Lorelei's shoulder. She looked up at him to see his jaw was hard as he was gritting his teeth. Lorelei nervously stirred her drink with the straw, letting the ice cubes clink together.

"You have had plenty of those," Jesse said.

"Do you have a problem with that, Madden?" Jody asked.

"Not anymore, Zhang."

Lorelei drained her drink and her head continued to spin. She was sure that Jody had ordered her a double. Jesse ripped the glass out of Lorelei's hands and slammed it down on the table. She bit down on her lip. Jody shook her head and mumbled something that Lorelei could not understand over the pounding music.

"Jesse, calm down," Mateo said.

"I'm perfectly calm," Jesse said.

Lorelei's eyes darted over to the naked man on the stage. He had his hands behind his head as he was gyrating his hips. She had almost forgotten that they were at a strip club. She had been so focused on the drinks and the tension between Jesse and Jody. She covered her mouth as she giggled.

Jody smirked like she was taunting Jesse.

"Have you even fucked Lorelei yet?" she asked.

Jesse let out a deep breath. He leaned back in the chair. He kept his arm around Lorelei as he brought his beer up to his lips. Jesse didn't say anything but smiled. Jody pursed her lips together.

Lorelei grabbed the glass and sucked the little bit of vodka that was on the ice through the straw. Her eyes darted up to Jesse. His fingers were holding onto her shoulder so tight that she thought it would leave bruises on her flesh.

Her heart was pounding as she looked between Jesse and Jody, who were glaring at each other. She felt like if the table was not between them, they would be in a physical altercation.

"Excuse me," Lorelei said as she pushed her chair back and away from the table.

Jesse and Jody broke their intense stare and watched Lorelei. Her knees shook and she almost tripped in her heels as she stepped back. She tried her best not to stagger while she walked to the bathroom. She always knew that she had a low tolerance and the Kamikaze shots had a big effect on her body.

She stumbled into the bathroom. She leaned against the counter and squeezed her eyes shut to stop her head from spinning. She hadn't even been at the club for an hour, and she was already drunk. She was embarrassed, but she believed that Jesse was too focused on Jody to notice her inebriated state.

Lorelei pulled her red lipstick out of her purse. She applied a new layer on her lips. She ran her fingers through her light hair. She let out a deep breath.

She put her lipstick back in her bag and her fingers brushed against her phone. She pulled it out and saw a message from Bryan on her lock screen. She had not bothered to message him since their lackluster night together. She held her phone close to her face as she swiped her finger across the screen to read his message.

Lorelei's thumb wavered over the screen. She was unsure what to type back. She normally would not answer these kinds of messages, but she knew that Bryan would be at Molly's wedding. She would have to see him again.

The bathroom door opened, and she looked to see Jody walk in. Lorelei slipped the phone back into her purse. Jody put her hands on the counter and threw her hips to the side to bump Lorelei. She almost knocked her over because of her wobbly knees and high heels.

"Thought I would check on you," Jody said.

"I'm okay," Lorelei said.

"Great," Jody said. "Let's get more drinks."

Lorelei shook her head. She couldn't drink anymore, at least not now.

"I think I need some water," Lorelei said.

"Shots first," Jody said. "Then water."

Jody grabbed Lorelei's arm and dragged her out of the bathroom. Lorelei held her breath as she focused on keeping her balance.
