《Submission》Chapter 14

Jody somehow convinced Lorelei to do two more shots. This time, instead of vodka, Jody had been ordering them tequila. Jody was sucking on a lime as she looked over at Jesse and Mateo. Jody rolled her eyes when she saw Jesse sneaking glances at them. Lorelei took a step toward the table, but Jody snatched her arm. Lorelei raised a brow.

"Come with me," Jody said.

"What about Jesse?" she asked.

Lorelei did not realize that her words were slurring.

"Screw Jesse," Jody said. "I convinced the boys to come downstairs and have some fun. Let's enjoy the show."

Lorelei opened her mouth to speak, but Jody pulled her forward in a jerky motion. Lorelei rolled her ankle as she stumbled. Jody caught her before she fell. Lorelei giggled while regaining her balance. Jody showed her to a couple of chairs facing the stage. A small table was between them and they set their drinks down.

The music started up again, and the music pounded in Lorelei's ears. A bachelorette party that came while they were doing shots started to cheer. A man came onto the stage. He was dressed like a cop but was wearing only a G-string, a vest with a plastic badge, and a police hat.

He rocked his hips to the beat.

Lorelei looked behind her to see Jesse was talking to his friends. He was no longer watching her like a hawk.

"What do you do, Lorelei?" Jody asked, raising her voice to be heard over the pounding music.

"I'm a nurse," she said. "How about you?"

"A nurse? That's cute," Jody said before taking a sip of her drink. "I'm a model."

Lorelei could easily believe that Jody was a model. She had the perfect figure and striking features. She crossed her legs and her silver dress exposed more of her thigh. In Lorelei's drunken state, she could not catch herself staring. Jody smirked as she watched Lorelei's eyes scan her legs.

"Modeling must be nice," Lorelei said.

"It's great," Jody said. "It's a lot of fun. You should try it out. You'd be good at it."

Lorelei leaned back in her chair and laughed. She shook her head before taking a drink from her glass. She could barely taste the alcohol in whatever it was that Jody had ordered.

"I'm serious," Jody said. "You'd make a lot of money too."

The bachelorette party cheered and screamed as the stripper removed his vest. He exposed his bulging muscles. A woman wearing a bridal sash was reaching over the stage and throwing bills. Lorelei's attention was focused on the dancer that she barely processed what Jody had said.

The stripper tossed his hat into the crowd of the bridal party. They screamed and clawed at each other to hold the hat. Lorelei was draining her drink as she watched them amused. She jumped when a pair of hands grabbed the top of her shoulders.

She looked up to see that it was Jesse. He was towering over her chair. He grabbed her nearly empty cup and set it on the table. Lorelei moved to grab it, but Jesse tightened his grip on her to keep her still. He shook his head.

Mateo crouched in front of Jody. She leaned forward and he whispered something into her ear. Jody's eyes darted over to Jesse and Lorelei before she smiled. Lorelei turned to see that Ash and Zeke were no longer sitting at the table.

Jody stood and she switched spots with Mateo. He sat down in the chair next to Lorelei. Jody got down on her knees in front of Mateo. She put her hands on his thighs and arched her back. Lorelei was entranced by Jody's smooth movements. Jody rolled her head back. Her eyes connected with Lorelei's and she winked.

Mateo reached into his pocket and pulled out a chain. He clipped the end to the collar around Jody's neck. Lorelei realized it was a leash as Jody stood while Mateo held the other end. Jody swung her hips to the music as she stayed leashed.

The bachelorette party had stopped cheering for the man on stage and was now watching Jody and Mateo horrified. Their jaws were hanging open and their brows were furrowed. The bride was staring at the floor, avoiding looking at the scene.

Lorelei shuddered under the disgusted stares at Jody. This is why she kept her interest in kink hidden for years. People looked at what excited her as taboo. She would be sick if she found out that someone from her personal life realized what was going on between her and Jesse.

Jody continued to roll her hips and squeeze her breasts together as she danced. She was attracting the attention of everyone in the basement.

Lorelei pushed Jesse's hands off of her shoulders and stood. She hurried away with wobbly legs. She watched her feet as she walked so that she would not fall over as she rushed out of the club. She could not hear Jesse chase after her because of the music.

Lorelei climbed one step of the steep staircase when Jesse grabbed her arm and spun her around. She stumbled, and Jesse snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her into him. She pressed her hands against his hard chest. She took in a deep breath of his cologne. Her head was spinning so she squeezed her eyes shut and buried her head into his chest. He placed his other hand on the back of her head.

Her eyes and nose burned as she started to sob. She had no idea why she was crying, but all of the alcohol made her emotions a wreck.

"I'm sorry," he said. The music was fainter in the stairwell and she could easily hear him. "It is too soon."

Lorelei let out a deep breath as she pulled away from Jesse. He kept his arms around her waist.

"Too soon for what?" she asked, wiping the tears off of her cheeks.

"All of this," he said. "I just got excited and wanted you to come with me. Jody and Mateo can be a lot sometimes."

Lorelei shook her head. She pulled Jesse's arms off of her, but he cupped her face with his hands. He wiped her remaining tears off of her face with his thumb.

"I'm supposed to slowly be bringing you into this world," he said. "Do you forgive me?"

Lorelei nodded. Jesse smiled and pulled her forward to kiss her. Lorelei expected a demanding kiss, such as the one last night. Instead, it was a quick peck. She leaned in for another kiss, but Jesse held her in place. Lorelei's heart dropped in her chest as she felt rejected.

"Let's get out of here," he said.

Lorelei swallowed past the lump that was forming in her throat.

"Okay," she said.

"You need to get to bed," he said. "You've drunk way too much."

"I'm alright."

"No you're not. Let's get you home before you throw up."

Jesse kept his arm tight around Lorelei's waist as they climbed the stairs. Jesse was holding her up as she stumbled out of the Alibi.
