《Married To The Don》T W E N T Y-O N E

Everything was shattered, things were being thrown around as gunshots echoed through out the whole house. Maids and guards were running around the place trying to fight back to whoever attacked the estate.
" Follow me. " Victoria barked pulling my arms up the staircase.
She had her gun up ready to shoot away who came in our way while I tried my best to stay calm and not panicking.
We made it to Seth's office in no time. Victoria slammed the door shut before walking to the bookshelf typing in a few codes. I on the other hand ran and grab a few guns and blades that we could use later if this plan of staying inside the secret room failed.
The bookshelf started shaking then slide opened revealing a dark room. Footsteps were coming our way into the office, we both rushed inside and before we knew it the secret chamber was closed once again.
" That was close. " Victoria panted as she tried to light a candle.
I didn't even realize there were candles inside. And, no electricity? Really?
" How old is that candle, Vic? It just made the whole room smell like shit. " I said in disgust.
" What? This is a lavender scented candle, aunt gigi specially bought it from France. " she gasped looking a bit insulted.
What? I was just stating truth.
" It smells really bad. I'm going to puke if you don't put it out. " I said pinching my nose close.
" Smell like lavender to me but okay. We have loads of candles in here. " she shrugged before lighting more candles around the room.
After, the room was all lighted up around the room. We both sat down hugging our knees to our chests praying this would all be over soon.

" Is it better now? " Victoria asked raising her eyebrow.
" Yeah. " I nodded my head.
" But, why not put light in here? " I asked looking around the brick room.
This was a medium sized room fit for at least five people, there was a single couch in the middle of the room, a bed at the end of the square room, a table, and a fridge in the corner.
" What if the enemy cut off the electricity? " she asked smirking.
" Okay, Einstein. " I shook my head at her.
" This is the most shittiest safe room in the whole estate but it is the closest to us. So, we will have to live through this. " Victoria sighed.
As we then sat in silence, I couldn't help but wonder how those men in black mask got to the house. Seth made sure security was tight and secured everyday, and the codes were being changed every other week.
It was impossible for outsiders to get in without permission. Unless someone inside let them in.
" There's no way they could get in here without helps. " I said playing with the gun I had stolen.
" Are you saying there is a snitch? " she asked looking shocked.
" Have you seen the security around here? All those codes cameras and men? There's no way they could get through those obstacles. "
" Thinking like a true Don's wife. " Victoria smirked patting my back.
" So? What do you think? " I asked.
" You're right. And, we're so going to find out whoever is behind this. " she said through her gritted teeth.
After almost an hour and a haft of sitting safely in the candle lighted room away from the chaos happening outside, I was starting to get bored and wanted nothing more than to get the hell out of here.

Victoria kept making small talks here and there trying to lift up my sour mood but failed miserably.
The door to the room we were in suddenly shook before slowly opening up. I instinctively grabbed the loaded gun into my hand while motioning Victoria to do the same.
" There's no way they can get in here. Only those who has Salvatore's blood running in their vein know the codes and the hidden rooms. " Victoria said with widened eyes as we both stood on our guard.
The door opened revealing a tall figure rushing inside toward us with a gun in his hand. The little lights that all those candles were providing made it slightly hard to see the face.
And, before we knew it the door was slammed shut again.
" Brandon? " Victoria asked in disbelief lowering her gun.
" Are you guys okay? " he asked checking the both of us from heads to toes.
I recognized this raven haired guy with hazel eyes as Brandon King, the under Don, one and only best friend of my husband. His hair that seemed to be always neatly styled was messed up like he had been running his hand through it a hundred times, his used to be handsome face was bloody and filled with blue and purple bruises here and there.
If he looked like this, I didn't want to think of what my husband must be looking like right now. Was he okay?
" Where's Seth? "
" How did you get in here? "
Victoria and I asked at the same time.
" I know the codes obviously. " he shrugged looking at Victoria liked she was dumb.
" Only the bloodlines know. How the hell did you get in? Are you the snitch? " She snapped loading her gun once again.
" Chill woman. Remember the time I almost died and Seth gave me his blood to save my life? I basically have his blood running in my damn vein right now. So, he figured I could know the codes. " Brandon explained in one breath.
Smart guy. If he explained any slower, Victoria must have shot him by now.
" And, a snitch really? I've been here long enough to know not to betray your cousin. And, I'm his best friend for god sake. " he said looking offended.
Victoria gave him an apologetic smile before shrugging.
" Where's my husband? Is he okay? " I asked.
" Seth was shot but he is okay. On his way to attack the Vipers right now. " he said looking a bit concerned.
" Why the hell didn't you stop him? The attack was supposed to be next week. And, he was shot for god sakes. " I said rubbing my forehead in disbelief.
" It took more than a bullet to kill a Salvatore, sis. " Victoria smirked.
This whole goddamn family was insane. It ran in their blood.
" Do you think your husband would listen to me? " Brandon asked. I shook my head.
" Well, what are we still doing here? Let's follow him. " I said.
" Seth will kill me if I let you do that. We best stay here until he gets back. " Brandon shook his head.
" True. We don't wanna die. " Victoria continued.
I grunted before sitting back down in defeat.
He better came back in one piece or I would beat his ass into a fucking coma.

The Adventures of Alan

In his new reality, he will meet both friends and foe, he will seek knowledge, he will build power, and perhaps he will even find love again? Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.

The Arcanist Seer
An eye of which sees everything beyond the skies and heavens saw an embodying fate with reek of blood and greed. He who sees the future and yet is restrained by his own shackles of his destiny. An eye that serves a purpose but nothing in exchange for his freedom. Will he remain as a tool of his adversary or escape from his own shackles of fate? This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
