I meet Kayla and ally at the mall to get a dress
.I normally don't wear dresses because they make me feel uncomfortable but this is a dance and I want Josh to think I'm pretty.
"What about this one?" Kayla says taking a dress off the rack
"It's a open back" ally says like duh
"And?" Kayla says back not understanding
"She has back fat it won't look good" ally says rolling her eyes
"Yeah she right let's find something that covers everything" I say before they get into a fight.
ally just trying to help even though it does hurt my feelings when she says stuff like that.
"So I got a date for the dance" Kayla giggles
"Really who?" I say just as excited
"Toby from English"
"That's great he's cute" I say, I look at ally who's texting someone
"I've got to go" ally says all of a sudden
"Is everything okay?" I ask worried
"Yeah" ally says "bye" I watch her leave
"Let's try these on" Kayla says
Me and Kayla try dress after dress.
"What about this one?" Kayla shows me a pink dress
"I like it"
I end up getting this blue dress it was the only one that covered everything.
I finally home exhausted from shopping.
I open the door to see Josh and Caleb playing video games.
"Hey guys" I wave
"Hey Elena" Josh smiles that charming smile at me
I go upstairs to my room to change into my pjs.
I hear a knock it's probably Caleb .
"Come in" I say as I sit down
"Hey" Josh says opening the door
"O hey" i can feel my face getting red from embarrassment from the pjs I'm wearing
"Where were you today?" he says siting on the bed with me

"Me, Kayla and ally went shopping for dressing for the dance" I tell him
"Did you find one?"
"Yeah" I point to the dress that has a bag over it
"Can I see?" he smirks
"No your going to have to wait till Friday" I laugh, he laughs too
"Who are you going with?" he asks me
"No one" I shrug, it's pretty pathetic out of all the kids in our school I can't even get one person to ask me "are you going with anyone?" I ask trying not to seem desperate
"No most of the guys aren't bringing dates" he says
"O" trying not to be disappointed
"Why don't I pick you up and take you, a pretty girl like you shouldn't be all dressed up and take the bus" he smirks I try to act to keep my face neutral but I'm ecstatic
"Really are you sure?"
"Yeah I'll pick you up about six but I'm not wearing a suit" he laughs
"Okay" I laugh
"Well I better get back downstairs before your brother starts having a hissy fit" I laugh "Goodnight Elena"
"Good night Josh" he smiles at me and shuts the door behind him
I immediately stand up and start jumping on the bed with the biggest smile on my face.
I plop down on the bed and grab my phone and call Kayla.
"Hello" Kayla answers
"You will never believe what just happened" I say
"Is the Mc Rib back I'll pick you up in 5" Kayla says getting excited
"No not yet"
"O" she says disappointed
"But Josh just asked me to the dance!" i blurt out
"Are you serious?"
"Yes" I giggle
"That's awesome you guys are going to be the best looking couple there" she says giggling
"Should I call ally and tell her?" I ask her
"I tried calling her earlier and she won't answer"
"I'll tell her at school tomorrow then"
"I'm really happy for you Elena. Friday going to be a night we won't forget" she tells me
"Thank you and I'm counting on it"
