*Adam's POV*

Leaving the apartment was difficult. Anna was wearing a very beautiful and enticing navy dress and all Cade and I wanted to do was to rip it off her. The way her hips swayed in it too. Shit.

Getting drunk of alcohol was probably not going to happen tonight but I was already drunk of her that's for sure.

'Imagine when we can finally mark and mate her' Cade hummed in the back of my mind.

I felt the space in my pants lessen by the second as Cade send some very explicit images through our mind.

'Cade stop. We've barely left the apartment.' I groaned.

'Maybe we shouldn't have left the apartment at all.' Cade spoke as he send a picture through my brain of Anna naked in front of us. I faltered in my step and almost stumbled.

"Adam are you ok?" Anna spoke up.

"U-uh y-yeah. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I tried to cover up the mess in my mind.

'Fuck off Cade, or I'm not letting you shift tonight to sleep in her bed.'

He shut up really quickly.

"Here we are!" Anna exclaimed as we stood in front of a bar.

We entered swiftly. Anna had noticed her friends right away and skipped towards them, excited to see them tonight. I made my way over too and we greeted each other. It was weird to meet Fred, since I technically already had as Cade, but everything went fine. Jasper and I also pretended to meet each other.

When Anna told Robin about my new job she gave me a pat on the head, which was... weird. As an Alpha, not a lot of things scare you. But that chick is crazy, and it terrifies me.

As soon as the introductions were out of the way, the alcohol came. We all got some regular drinks and Robin ordered a round of shots. I frowned when I saw her give me two shots. "So mister, how well can you hold your alcohol?" she asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

I could see Jasper and Fred roll their eyes and Anna gave me an 'I told you so' look. I grinned, "I've been told I hold it surprisingly well."

Robin scoffed, making Cade grumble, "Why don't we see big boy." She said, looking at the two shots in front of me.

"Bring it lady." I told her as I downed both. The alcohol burned. Man it had been some time since I felt it. Noah and I used to have drinking competitions. I always won of course, but we did end up super drunk, which is rare for a werewolf. I tried not to let the burning feeling show as I placed the empty shot glassed back on the table.

Robin's eyes glinted with excitement, but she tried to play it off by shrugging. Jasper was holding back a smile. I raised an eyebrow at him and he smirked, "She's done the same thing with me. She won't stop till you're gone."

I smirked back, "She's gonna have a big storm coming then."

The time at the bar went by quickly. We talked a lot and Robin kept the shots coming. After the fourth shot I told her it was unfair that I was the only one taking double shots, and since then she's been drinking along with me. Anna had sent me a stern look but Robin had it coming for her. Robin was now drunk of her ass while I didn't even start to feel the effects of the alcohol.

I made easy conversation with Jasper. Besides the fact that we couldn't talk about werewolf stuff, we hit it off pretty well.

The only problem I really had with everything was the inability to touch my mate. I guess Anna was right when she said I had become more touchy. When she didn't know about us being mates yet it was fine to control the urge. It would have been weird and creepy so I wouldn't try to get too close to her. Now that she has basically accepted the fact that we're mates and she responds positively to my touch, it's become very difficult to restrain myself. Not to mention that Cade is constantly pushing for attention.

It's good that we have a job now. That way we can work off some of the tension and emotions I've been feeling.

After an hour or two we decided to head to the club. When Anna stood up she stumbled slightly but we managed to catch her. Great. I've been so focused on the shots robin and I have been taking that I forgot about the amount of alcohol our mate has had.

"You ok?" I asked her.

She gave me a lazy smirk, "Yup!"

I gulped, "How much have you had to drink?"

She looked like she thought it over for a bit before shrugging, "Not as much as you have."

That wasn't really what I wanted her to say. I pushed down my worry. I'm with her this time. I can protect her in case anything goes wrong.

The club was loud and bright. I didn't like it at all. While the girls got rid of their coats, Jasper and I found a booth. Jasper ordered some drinks too. "You still in for this game with Robin?" he asked with a grin.

I shrugged, "She can keep trying."

Jasper chuckled, "Poor woman."

"She's the one that challenged me." I spoke.

The girls found us and joined us in the booth. I froze slightly when Anna sat right next to me and pushed herself closer. Fred gave us a weird look and Robin smirked. Jasper just shrugged.

"Anna?" I asked, hoping it would take her out of her trance. Clearly the alcohol and the mate bond have been at work.

She looked up at me and gave me a smirk, "What?"

I lowered myself to her ear, "You're sitting suspiciously close to me, love."

Anna shrugged and grabbed her drink. I then decided to let it slide too. I've been wanting to have my mate close all this time I'm not going to let this opportunity slide by.

After the girls finished their drink they went off to dance. Jasper and I stayed behind for a bit.

"So, have you told her?" Jasper asked.

I nodded, "I couldn't keep it in any longer."

"I see she's taking it well." Jasper continued.

I smiled, "She's perfect. She's been so incredibly accepting and loving. I know all this is daunting for her. I mean compared to human relationships mates are insane. But she always tries to see things from our perspective, and she's been asking more and more questions. I couldn't be happier."

"That's awesome. I hope Fred will react ok." Jasper said.

"When are you planning on telling her?" I asked.

"I'm not sure yet. Fred is pretty closed off. Our relationship has been slow. Not that I mind, as long as I can spend time with her I'm good. But I'm afraid she'll freak out if I start talking about how fast and intense the mating process is. Not to mention that she doesn't even know about werewolves yet." Jasper said with a sigh.

"She'll get there. If she freaks out you can always call Anna. She's willing to help out in any way she can." I told him.

"She's a true Luna." Jasper spoke and I couldn't help but puff up with pride.

"That she is," I sighed, "I wish she had a pack to be a Luna of though."

"What happened to your pack was tragic. I remember when it happened. It was such a surprise to see a pack go down like that. Alpha Thomas went out to search for survivors but we couldn't find anyone. It's a miracle you're here really." Jasper explained.

"I was travelling to find my mate. For a long time I cursed the fact that I wasn't there when it happened." I glanced at Anna, who was laughing and dancing with her friends, "Now I can see that the Moon Goddess needed me for greater things."

Jasper just nodded. We were both surprised when a waitress walked up to us with some shots, "A lady named Robin ordered these for you." She spoke as she placed four shots in front of me.

I rolled my eyes and looked over to the dancefloor. Robin was eyeing me with a smirk and she gestured for me to drink them. I sighed and took the shots. All four of them.

"Jesus dude, keep going like that and you'll actually start feeling them." Jasper said with a chuckle.

"Nothing I can't handle." I spoke, "My beta and I used to do drinking games. To the point where both of us were completely wasted. This is nothing compared to that."

Jasper gave me an impressed look, "Damn. I don't think our alpha has ever done anything like that."

I shrugged, "We were young and stupid. Wanted to test out limits. It also happened before I became Alpha."

"Well, be prepared to test your limits tonight as well. Robin is gonna keep em coming." Jasper said with a laugh.

I smirked, "Challenge accepted. How far did she get you?" I asked.

Jasper laughed again, "She got me drunk. But I wasn't actually taking her challenge like you have."

"What can I say, an Alpha never refuses a challenge." I spoke.

Jasper chuckled, "Speaking of Alpha's. I was wondering if I could tell our Alpha about you. I haven't so far but I know it would cheer him up knowing you're alive."

I nodded, "Sure, go ahead. I was wondering something too. Can I come to your pack sometime? To talk to Ray? It's been a long time. Besides, I also kind of miss packs. Would be nice to see one again."

"Sure! I can set up a meeting. Just give me your number I'll text you when our Alpha is available." Jasper said as he got out his phone.

Once I enter my number two more shots are placed in front of me. I roll my eyes and look at Robin, who is once again grinning at me. I glance at Anna who is giggling as she's noticing the situation. I sigh and take the shots. Once I place the glasses down I see Robin coming over.

"How are you holding up big boy?" she asks in a slur.

I grin, "I'm doing just fine." I tell her, my voice perfectly clear.

Robin huffs, "Jeesh, how much does it take to get you under."

I smirk but stiffen when I feel Anna slip in next to me. She gives me a smirk as she starts pulling me out of the booth, "Dance with me?" she asks sweetly.

Fucking hell, how will I control myself.

Jasper suddenly laughs, "I have a feeling that no amount of alcohol can put him under, but maybe a woman can."

Robin looked at Jasper in confusion before looking at us and smirking, "I see." She says in a mischievous tone.

I shrug and let Anna pull me away from the booth towards the dancefloor. When she starts swinging her hips from side to side I feel like I might just faint. Jasper isn't wrong. This girl could bring me to my knees in seconds. I grab onto her waist and try to keep up. Anna smiles and places her hands behind my back, pulling herself closer.

Fuck. I want her so bad.

'Then take her' Cade speaks up.

I groan mentally, 'You know we can't Cade. Besides, all of her friends are watching.'

'So? You've had, what? Like 20 shots at this point? She's intoxicated too. Don't you think two people would like to get closer at that point.' Cade says and I must say the temptation is rising.

'Jasper already knows and it's not like you're going to hide this forever. Eventually we will come out with the fact that we're together. Why not show them that we're already attracted now?' He continues.

I lose track of the conversation when I feel Anna come even closer. She reaches up to my ear, "What are you thinking about?"

Her breath fanning my ear spreads tingles all over my body. "I'm debating whether or not we should give up on this façade and just kiss." I told her truthfully.

Anna smirked, "What would you prefer Alpha?"

All my control breaks as she uses the title. Within seconds my lips are on hers, and she kisses me back immediately. I groan as the tingles spread through my body and I tighten my grip on her. Anna cocks her head to the side so we can deepen the kiss, and I tease her by trailing my tongue over her lips. She opens up and I gladly move in further.

Our tongues clash together and I slowly move my hands to her lower back and in her beautiful long hair. When we break the kiss we're both panting, but I haven't had enough of her. I start peppering kisses down her neck and latch onto her sweet spot, where she will one day bare my mark. The thought of that alone makes me hard, and I groan as I nibble on her skin. Our mate let's out a moan, bringing me even deeper into this hole that I've dug myself into. I wasn't wrong when I said I was drunk on her. She means everything to me. She is my heart and soul. My moon and my stars. I would do anything for her and then some.

Anna places her head next to my ear, "What are they saying?" she asks.

I'm completely lost in her, and thus confused at what she means. "Who?"

"Fred and stuff." She giggles. Oh right. Those people exist.

I try to rip my focus away from Anna for a small while. With much difficulty I manage to listen in on their conversation.

"They are so fucking tonight." Robin speaks up.

"Robin shut up. Not everyone fucks after one drunk night." Fred defends us.

Robin laughs, "Says the one who has been in a stable relationship for months now."

I grinned into Anna's neck, Fred and Jasper hadn't completed the mating process. Both were still very much virgins.

"Just let them have some fun. They seem like they like each other." Jasper speaks up.

I tune out of the conversation again and focus on my beautiful mate once more. I place a gentle kiss just underneath her ear, making her shiver before whispering, "They're currently discussing whether or not we'll be having sex tonight."

Anna busts out laughing, "Typical Robin."

I smile and pull away from her so I can see her emerald green eyes. They shine with glee as she looks at me. We dance for a little longer until the song changes. I notice that my mate is starting to become tired so I guide her back to the booth. Robin is already waiting for me with two more shots. She really doesn't give up does she? That kiss just know probably burned off more alcohol that I will drink for the rest of the night.

I shrug and take the shots before sitting down and pulling my mate next to me. She excitedly grabs a drink on the table and takes a sip.

"Well, that was certainly something." Robin spoke with a grin.

I had expected my mate to blush but instead she giggles and snuggles closer to me. She responds different when alcohol comes into the picture.

Jasper leans over and speaks in a volume he knows only I will be able to hear, "I thought you were gonna mark her right then and there."

I leaned back, "It was tempting. But not until she's ready."

Jasper nods and leans away again, placing an arm around his own mate. It's funny how in one evening we managed to hit it off so well. I guess we're in similar positions, the both of us having human mates.

After forcing me to drink like 10 more shots, Robin seems to give up and heads to the dancefloor to 'catch her man for tonight'. She did manage to get me though, as I have started to feel a slight buzz. It's enough for me to be able to hide it, but it's there.

"I can't believe a single man can handle so much alcohol. Did you cheat?" Fred asks.

I glance at Jasper before responding, "I'm just that good at holding my alcohol." I say with a grin as I take another sip of my regular drink. It's vodka mixed with some sort of pop, but I can't really be bothered to figure out which one.

I hear the breathing in my mate change and I look down at her. She has her eyes closed. She must have fallen asleep. I gently nudge her, "Anna?"

Her eyes flutter before she looks at me, giving me a lazy smirk as she does. "Sorry, I'm tired." She mumbles.

"Want to go home?" I ask and she nods her head softly.

I chug my drink, which I immediately realize is a bad idea. Robin convinced the bartender to mix the drink 50/50 if she paid double, and I can definitely taste that 50% vodka. We say goodbye to Jasper and Fred and leave.

Anna leans on me as we walk home, so I decide to pick her up and carry her instead. She yelps as I pick her up, before giggling, "My knight in shining armor."

I chuckle, "Whatever you want me to be I shall be." I tell her.

As we reach home I can really start to feel that last drink, and I start fumbling with the keys. Anna frowns at me before she seems to have a lightbulb moment. "Is my big, bad Alpha feeling the alcohol?" she asks sweetly.

I give her a lazy smirk, "I'm fine."

"You didn't deny it." she points out.

"Never said I was." I counter.

Anna lets out a giggle, "I'm so telling Robin tomorrow."

I finally manage to get the door open, "I'd rather have you not tell her."

"Why not?" Anna asks as I gently push her inside before following.

"Because an Alpha doesn't like to admit defeat." I mumbled as I take off her coat for her.

Anna softly grabs my cheeks, "It won't change my opinion of you."

"I'm glad it won't. But it will hurt my pride. Cade probably isn't happy about it either." I told her.

"Has he told you?" Anna asks as she walks over to the bathroom to take off her make-up. I follow behind.

"No, Cade always hides away whenever I drink." I state.

'I don't hide! You just get really annoying!' Cade speaks up making me laugh out loud.

"Just kidding, he just told me he finds me annoying when I drink." I tell her.

Anna laughs too, "Poor Cady."

I chuckle at the nickname as Cade grumbles in the back of my mind. I decide to put on some sweatpants as Anna finishes taking off her make-up. I hand her her Pajamas before heading into the bedroom to change. Last time she came out just wearing a bra and panties and I don't know if I have enough restraint to hold myself back this time.

I leave my pants on the floor as I manage to slip on sweatpants. My plan to go to the living room is thwarted when I see a picture on her night stand. It's a picture of her and her sister, both smiling. I have never paid much attention to her bedroom. Usually I'm in wolf form when we're in here.

Damn, her sister and her do look exactly alike, though I can tell by the way their bodies are positioned which one of the two is our mate.

I feel someone trail her hand across my back and I let out a moan as the sparks explode. Within seconds I have her under me on the bed as I kiss her senselessly. She moans and grabs my neck to pull me closer but I know I have to stop now or else I won't be able to. I regrettably pull away and look at our mate. She looks perfect, laying underneath me with her hair spread across the mattrass. What I wouldn't give to take her right now.

Anna looks at me in question and I shake my head, "We can't Anna. If I don't stop myself now I'll lose control." I tell her.

Anna blinks a few times before nodding. I slide off her to head to the couch but she stops me by grabbing my arm, "Stay." She whispers, and I fight my hardest not to mark her right there.

"Anna we're both intoxicated." I try to tell her.

"I don't care. We won't do anything. Just sleep in the same bed. I do it with Cade all the time." she explains.

I guess she has a point. I nod and head over to the other side of the bed before climbing into bed with her. I have a very short thought on holding myself back but quickly realize that I don't really care before pulling her close to me. She lays with her back to me and I embrace her, entangling our legs together and placing my arms around her waist.

I feel her readjust so she's comfortable too before she lets out a deep sigh, "Did you have fun?" she asks in a whisper.

I kiss her temple, "Yes, thank you for taking me with you."
