wake up to a different environment that is definitely not my room. I'm in an almost dark room, I raise my head and notice a shadowy body next to me. I open my mouth to scream when I feel a hand cover my mouth.
"Shh. it's me."
It takes me a while to recognize the voice and my forehead knits in confusion as I gather my thoughts.
Jace turns on the light and light shines brightly in the room. I take a good look at Jace and see that he looks fresh like he just had a bath, which means he is feeling better now.
I scramble away from the bed while looking at the wall clock, I pray that no one is back home yet. I haven't prepared dinner and the time is already 6.
"Calm down, Princess. Where are you running off to?"
Princess? Did he just call me princess?
I try not to blush but I eventually did. "Are you kidding me? I must not be seen here."
Jace pouts and mutters something under his breath. "Come here."
I shake my head and run out of the room. That was a big mistake because I ran straight into Cassie who is walking to her room with two heavy shopping bags. She stops midway, narrows her eyes at me suspiciously, and takes a few steps towards me but I back away from her in fear.
"Should I tell you before you take these to my room?"
I sigh in relief that she isn't questioning me for coming out of Jace's room probably looking disheveled. I take the bags from her and take them to her room with her walking behind me. When I entered the room, I drop the bags on the bed and turn to leave but as I'm walking out of the room, Cassie yanks me back while grabbing my hair and I gasp in pain.

"What were you doing in Jace's room?" She asks with a deadly look on her face. So the plan was for her to question me where there is no one to save me from her.
"I-I was j-just.." I start to stammer in panic.
"Oh, you don't want to confess that you have been flirting with my man right?"
She drags me to the bathroom and made me kneel in front of the toilet.
"Cassie, I only made him eat and use his drugs when I saw that he is not feeling well."
"So you're now a nurse?" She asks sarcastically. "And?"
"I swear that's all."
"I have seen the way you stare at him, what were you thinking? That he will like a dirty-looking maid like you?" She laughs.
I couldn't stop the tears rolling down my face, she made me cry again. She is worse than Ash whom I never for once cry in front of. Anytime Ash bullies or insults me, I always hold back my tears and cry when I'm alone but with Cassie, no matter how hard I try to hold it back the tears just keep on rolling. I don't know what I have done to her to make her hate me this much.
"Let me show you what you are like." She yells and pushes my head into the toilet.
I struggle not to breathe in or swallow the contaminated water but I eventually did as I try to free myself from her and at the same time struggle to breathe in the fresh air.
"You are just like a toilet brush, that is what you are to be treated like."
I hear someone enter the bathroom and push her away from me while I sit on the floor breathing heavily.

"Are you nuts Cassie? Do you want to kill her?" Ash yells at her and helps me up.
"I hate her! Warn her to stay away from Jace."
"You are getting so obsessed with my brother and it's not healthy for you. And you're also getting paranoid that everyone you see with Jace is trying to snatch him away from you."
"Whatever." She hissed and walked out.
"Thank you." I thank Ash and walk out of the room in tears as what Cassie said to me keeps on replaying in my head.
"I have seen the way you stare at him, what were you thinking? That he will like a dirty-looking maid like you?"
"You are just like a toilet brush, that is what you are to be treated like."
Ash is looking for Cassie around the school premises but she doesn't know where she suddenly disappeared to, it's closing time already and they both go home together but she is nowhere to be found. She has also tried calling and texting her but she isn't picking up her calls or replying to her messages.
"Hey, what are you still doing in school?" One of their other friends walks up to her.
"I'm actually looking for Cassie so that we can go home together."
"Cassie? I saw her going into the former music class a few minutes ago, maybe you should check there."
"Former music class? What will she be doing in some former class full of dust and cobwebs?" Ashley wonders aloud.
"I don't know. I have to get going now, bye." The other girl gives her a quick hug and walks away.
Ashley walks towards the former music class, the classroom is around a secluded part of the school and it's the only classroom there. That's part of the reason it had to be shifted to the main building of the school where other classes are.
Ashley is contemplating whether to go in and check or not as she tries calling Cassie again. A girl was almost raped in this particular class so she is wary of going in there. She starts hearing some muffled sounds coming from the class and she can't resist the strong temptation to go in and check so she opens the door slowly and walks in.
Her eyes grow as wide as saucers and she gasps in utter shock at the scene in front of her. Her phone fell and clattered on the floor as tears fill her eyes and she shakes her head in disbelief. She saw Cassie and a guy, Damien having sex right in the class.
Damien is the guy Ash has been crushing on for about a year now but hasn't gotten the courage to tell him about it. She fell in love with everything about him and she always talk to Cassie about her feelings for him.
Ash takes in everything going on and breaks down into tears, if it was someone else she saw in here with Damien she wouldn't feel this embittered but this is her best friend right here with Damien, her best friend who she is always telling how much she likes Damien and how much she wishes to be with him.
"C-Cassie? Y-you..." Ashley stammers as her lips quiver and a shudder pass through her body.
"What's wrong with her?" Damien whispers in confusion to a shocked Cassie as he looks around for his belt.
Ash runs out of the class with tears streaming down her cheeks while Cassie who is just recovering from her shock adjusts her uniform and runs after her.
