I was wondering what Theo had up his sleeve.

Every time I pull up to his house I'm always amazed at how beautiful it is.

I parked my car and walked up to the side door and rang the doorbell.

Theo opened the door smiling. "Hey, sweetness come in!"

I walked in and put my jacket and purse on the bench in the mudroom and followed him into the kitchen.

When I saw the flowers and the candles and covered dishes I turned and looked at him. "What is going on?"

"I just wanted to do something nice for you. I picked up dinner and you some flowers and lit a few candles." He smiled.

"Well, this looks awesome, and I'm starving!"

I follow him over to the table and he pulls out my chair for me.

I watch him walk around the table and sit across from me. "I know you are wondering what in the world but I just wanted to do something special for you sweetness."

"You make me feel special Theo."

I took the lid off and when I saw lobster I smiled.

"I know it's your favorite sweetness."

"You put so much thought into this Theo and it's very special and you know what I like to eat and my favorite roses. It's very romantic."

"You know you are special to me Vaylin and I'm so happy you are in my life."

"Theo you know I feel the same way about you." I smile wiping a tear from my eye.

After dinner, he brought over two pieces of chocolate cake. "I figured a little chocolate couldn't hurt and I couldn't ask you to bring any."

"You know I have some with me, Theo." I laugh.

"Of course you do." He refilled our wine glasses and we eat our cake and laughed.

I watched him pull out a white rose and walk around the table to my side.

"Vaylin I did all of this to show you how much I love you. I know this relationship isn't very old but as they say when you know you know and I know how much I love you."

He handed me the rose and I brought it to my nose to sniff it and when I looked back at him he was standing with a blue velvet box in his hand.

It was a surreal moment as I watched him drop to one knee.

"You told me sitting on the beach that if I asked you wouldn't say no so I'm asking you Vaylin Valentine will you marry me?"

He opened the box and all I saw was a big shiny ring.

I jumped up out of my chair. "Of course, I will marry you, Theo." I grabbed his face and kissed his lips a few times before he got the ring on my finger.

"I love you so much Vaylin and I can't wait for you to be my wife."

"You have made me the happiest woman in the world and this ring is beautiful!" I cry.

"Now we can have the destination wedding that you want." He smiled.

"I can't wait to tell people. Does anyone know?"

"Just my dad because he gave me his jewelers name but no one has seen the ring."

"I can't wait to tell my mom and dad." I smiled.

"Then let's call them now." He smiled.

We walked to the living room and sit on the couch together and I called Mom's cell.

☎️ Vaylin hey there honey how are you?

☎️ Mom I am great! Theo and I are here together and I just wanted to call and tell you that I'm Engaged!

☎️ Oh goodness that's such good news sweetie! CHUCK! Vaylin is engaged!

I looked over at Theo and laughed because she was screaming in our ears.

☎️ Mom are you there?

☎️ Oh I'm so happy for the both of you! Oh here is your father. Congrats guys!

☎️ Thanks, Dad! You are the first to know. We need to call Theo's parents and I have to call Ali.

☎️ Ok send me a picture of the ring Vaylin.

"So do you want to call your parents or what?"

"I'm not sure if dad told mom so I guess we can." Theo smiled.

☎️ Hello Theodore.

He rolled his eyes looking at me.

☎️ Hey mom! We just wanted to call because we have news. I proposed to Vaylin tonight.

☎️ Oh goodness that's great Theodore! I'm so happy for both of you. Does your father know?

☎️ Yeah, he does so you can tell him for us.

☎️ I will when he gets back from poker.

☎️ We will be over soon for you to see it, mom.

☎️ You better! Bye guys.

"Now I really need to text Ali. Can we just take a pic of my hand and the ring and send it to her?"

"Yeah let me take it for you." He smiled.

It wasn't long until my phone started ringing and I laughed and held it up for Theo to see.

☎️ VV! Oh my god, that ring is beautiful! Tell Theo he's done so good.

☎️ He can hear you, Ali. Thanks, I'm so happy.

☎️ We need to make plans and get this wedding going.

☎️ Yeah, I have some ideas so umm next time I see you we can go over it.

☎️ Are you home?

☎️ No I'm at Theo's.

☎️ She is at home Ali.

I look over at Theo and smile.

☎️ Ok, I need an address to this new home so we can plan things.

☎️ I will text you tomorrow Ali. I love you.

I lay my phone on the coffee table and Theo gets me by the hand and pulls me upstairs to his bedroom.

"I'm serious sweetness this is your house too and once we get married this will be our home. I mean you can move in now if you want. Sorry if I'm being pushy."
