《All the Feels》Chapter 15

Billy
I wake up with a frustrated groan and trudge my ass into the shop on Saturday morning tired and annoyed. For one, my coffee maker decided to crap out on me and I refuse to pay seven dollars for a cup of coffee at the fancy place, so I'm already dragging. But then I think about Ainsley, still warm and cozy wrapped up in her blankets in bed hopefully still as naked as I left her last night and my entire body hurts with longing to be there right next to her.
I slam the door open a little harder than necessary and Jax pops his eyes up to me, raising his eyebrows in surprise and a touch of annoyance. Sure, he's here on a Saturday too, but he only does what he needs to and bounces. Some of us are stuck working a full shift. Yeah, I get it, he's the boss. But I'm getting too old for this shit.
"What crawled up your ass and died?" He asks, obviously irritated by my juvenile display.
"Jax. We need to talk." I say firmly and his hands stop typing on the keyboard and he looks up at me, giving me his full attention.
"Are you breaking up with me?" He asks with a little smirk that would probably be amusing if I wasn't in such a foul fucking mood right now.
"Shut up. This is serious." I say and his brow furrows in confusion as his body goes rigid.
"You're not quitting are you?" He asks and I scoff.
"Of course not you idiot. But this six day work week is not working for me anymore. That was before when I had nothing better to fill my time with. But now I have Ainsley and Willow. I'm getting really tired of missing out on Saturdays with them." I say and he nods in understanding.

"I get it. Especially with Ellie in school I fucking live for the weekends now. To be honest, I was kind of expecting this at some point." He says and I'm sure my face registers my shock. I didn't expect him to be so agreeable to the concept.
"Really? You'll give me Saturdays off?" I ask and he nods.
"Most of them. I may ask you to cover occasionally or come in for a few hours but Joe is almost done with his training and he has nothing else to live for, right Joe?" He asks and Joe nods enthusiastically.
"Hell yeah! I'll work whatever shift you want, boss." Joe says eagerly and I chuckle a little at him. I remember being that excited to get my own chair.
"Alright then it's settled. You're not gonna ditch me today though are you?" He asks and I shake my head.
"No. You know I wouldn't fuck you over like that." I say and Jax nods.
"I know. But I also know how a woman and kid can change things. Your perspective on life. The right woman is hard to come by. You do what you need to do to keep her in your life." He says firmly and I nod in agreement.
"I'm doing my best. Ainsley is an angel and Willow has me wrapped around her tiny little finger." I say with a grin that has Jax chuckling.
"I know exactly what that's like. These girls will be the death of us." He says and I pat his back.
"At least you have Jace." I say and Jax barks out a laugh.
"The poor kid is going to be outnumbered just like me." Jax says, but I can tell by the warm smile on his face that he wouldn't have his life any other way.

"You're a lucky bastard." I murmur and he gives me a pat on the back.
"Yeah I am, but so are you. And don't ever forget it." He says. I nod and get to work.
The place is busier than usual with walk ins. Jax even does a few small pieces while he's there before ducking out, saying he needs to handle Jace for the night. Chad comes in to replace him and I can't help but laugh at his appearance. He's usually so put together but it's obvious he had a rough night. He doesn't smell like booze at least, but his eyes are still blood shot. I take a small break to go over and check on him.
"You alright to work?" I ask and he nods.
"Yeah. I just woke up. That's why I look like shit." He says and I bark out a laugh.
"How are things going with Ainsley?" He asks and I throw him a shit eating grin. He huffs out a laugh and shakes his head.
"The girl is perfection." I say and he nods.
"Good. I'm happy for you man. You deserve it after what those other girls put you through. She doesn't seem like the type of woman to screw you over like that." He says and I shake my head.
"Nah. She's a good one. I can feel it." Talking about her has me suddenly missing her. I pull out my phone, hoping it's not too late to make plans.
I text her.
I smile at the thought of a five year old having plans. A night alone sounds amazing. Ainsley won't have to work so hard to be quiet. I've been dying to hear the sounds she makes when she doesn't hold back.
? I ask her.
I wait a few minutes for a reply, but don't get one and need to get back to work. I finish up another client before I pull my phone out and check it. My heart patters excitedly when I see Ainsley has replied. I open the text and nearly swallow my tongue.
I bark out a laugh after I have a minute to process what she said. Then my heart starts to beat wildly in my chest as excitement takes over.
"What are you laughing about?" Chad asks, annoyed with my good mood.
"Ainsley. The girl is amazing." I say with a warm smile as I read the text again.
"Damn, Billy. That girl has you feeling all the feels." He says and I show him the text she sent me. He reads it, his eyes widening in shock before doubling over in his own fit of laughter. I join in, shaking my head and wiping tears from my eyes.
"You better go give the girl what she wants. Before she goes somewhere else to get it." He warns and I smile over at him.
"Don't have to tell me twice."
I head out to my car and rush to Ainsley's. Nearly every light on the main floor is on and I wonder if Willow is still home. I pound on the door, excitement and nerves roiling through me as the door swings open. All other thoughts flee my mind as I grab my girl by the waist and slam my lips onto hers.
Nothing has ever felt so right.

Avery's parents motivated him to love everyone, no matter their differences. Gay? That's cool. Different Race? Sweet. Different ways of life? Awesome. But when he gets sent off to be housed in Canada with other boys similar to him for being gay you could probably guess he was rather shocked. Sent off without another goodbye, he's left to battle his own internal war of self hate, addiction, love and acceptance. His parents left him for good, and it only gets worse the longer he stays in his now forever home. Can his housemates just maybe help him from spiraling downward? ⚠️ Warning! ⚠️There may be some triggering subjects in this book including;Body Image issues DepressionThoughts of SuicideCover Created By - @1-800-get-yeeted
