Imma give y'all one more bc I love this chapter sm
"Why would you risk it going to her house? What would you have done if-" Lorenzo started and I cut him off.
"If what exactly?" I asked as I got back into the car, "What would have happened?" He didn't say anything so I left it. Today was somewhat more interesting than usual. I had a feeling it would be, otherwise, I would have sent someone else to collect the money for me...Which I didn't end up getting but...
That girl.
I have a feeling about her that I just can't shake.
"Why did you go to her house in the first place?" Sebastian asked and I looked up at him before smiling, "A good deed a day keeps death away." Or so it goes.
I checked my watch as we pulled into the manor and as the car pulled to a stop, my butler rushed to the car and opened the doors for me. His eyes widened when he saw Lorenzo and he looked back at me, "Are you injured anywhere young master? Shall I call a doctor for you?"
I raised my hand and shook my head, "I'm the one that shot him, Alfred. I'm not injured. Get him to a doctor so they can remove the bullet and bandage him up. Also Lorenzo..." I said turning toward him, "Don't let me see your face for the rest of the week."
With that, I walked into the manor and Sebastian quickly followed after. "What should we do about the money? And the body...?"
"We don't need it. It was a simple reminder to those who choose to deal with me. If I had let it pass then I'm sure others would be expecting the same for themselves. I wanted them to know no one gets away from under my eye. As for the general public, I'm sure the police will find a way to cover it up. We have Matteo there..."

"And the girl?"
"Leave her," I said waving my hand.
I made my way down the hall after Sebastian and I parted and stopped as I reached the room. I cracked the door open slowly and walked in. The lights were off but it wasn't completely dark so I left them off.
"Vieni qui figlio mio." (Come here, my son) Her voice spoke out softly and I stood by her bedside. I wrapped my hand around her frail ones and she squoze mine slightly, "Madre... Come stai oggi?" (Mom... How are you today?)
She nodded her head slowly and her eyes parted as she looked up at me. She burst out into a fit of coughing and I frowned, "I'll get the doctor-"
"No, sto bene. Comprami dei fiori domani...quelli che mi piacciono sempre." (No, I'm fine. Buy me some flowers tomorrow... The ones I always like.)
"Si Madre." (Yes mother.) I kissed her hand before letting go and I walked out the room, closing the door after me. Alfred stood waiting for me outside and he bowed when he saw me, "Should I call for a doctor to check her?" He asked and I nodded,
"She's growing weaker by the day. Her time is passing quickly now, she doesn't have much left." I sighed and looked down at my hands, "Prepare a car for me tomorrow morning, I'll be leaving out early."
He bowed again, "As you wish. Ah- Will Sebastian come as well?" I paused and shook my head.
"I'll go alone."
"I met an interesting girl." I whispered to myself as I laid down on my bed after entering my room. "Voglio vederla di nuovo." (I want to see her again.)
