"We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us."
-Maddie-
"What? What's with the sudden trip?" Capella asks me, putting some clothes in her luggage. "Well, I just wanted to spend more time with you guys and..." I trailed off. For some strange reason, I found myself fiddling with my fingers.
"If you can't tell us, it's alright. We'd understand." Valery sends me a soft smile as she pats my back gently. "No, I want to tell you guys." I mutter. I took a deep breath. "I am leaving for London next week." I blurt out loud. I immediately slap my hand over my mouth as my eyes widen.
"Oh..." That is all they could say as they averted their gaze on the ground. I can tell by the looks on their faces that they were unhappy. "When will you be back?" Capella asks. "I am not sure..." I sighed, tracing my finger on the outline of the fabric I was holding.
I do not even know if I'll come back to be honest. Helen just told me that the time spent there is unannounced and maybe we might stay there for a long time.
"Then let's make the most of this trip!" Leah squeaks, doing jazz hands. Although she was smiling, her eyes seem sad. "Come on guys, this may be the last time we'd spend time with Maddie. So don't be grumpy wumpy, cheer up!" She says, placing her hands on her hips as she stands on top of a table.
"Okay okay, Leah. Now get down from there before you get hurt." Valery chuckles. "Oh, yeah." Leah laughs. Soon, the room was back to normal.
While they were packing, I began planning the itinerary and other important things.

"Does anyone need more pillows?" Leah asks as she shoves a heart pillow in her carry on bag. "Nah." Capella waves at Leah. "I am good thanks."
I answer, stuffing a random shirt in my luggage.
Valery stares at Leah quietly, probably contemplating whether to ask her a question or not. She plops down on the sofa and fixes her bag.
"But why do you need to bring pillows? Aren't there any in the hotel?" Valery questions Leah. "Well, in the plane, they might not have any so.." Leah says. "I can't really sleep without hugging anything."
"Well, you can hug your bag." Capella suggests. Leah sighs deeply. "It's not the same." She pouts. "Wow, you are so extra." Valery laughs. "Hey! You got a problem with that?" Leah shouts as she playfully smacks Valery on the arm.
We all began laughing at her reaction.
After packing, we all gathered in the dining room. Capella placed a plate of chocolate chip cookies on the table. Upon smelling the delicious scent of the warm cookies, everyone immediately crowds around the plate.
"Ooh, cookies~" Leah squeals, shoving one into her mouth. "Thank you!" She giggles, covering her mouth so that crumbs won't fly out awkwardly. She continues to scarf down the cookies.
I take a one and took a bite. "So, we are leaving tomorrow?" Capella asks. I grinned at all of them. "Yep." I say, popping the 'p'.
"Question." Valery states, raising her hand. "Okay, what's your question." I smile. I dusted my hands on my shorts, watching the crumbs slowly fall down. It was scattered all over.
I sigh, taking a mental note to clean that up later on.
"Where are we going?" She says, getting a cookie. Oh, that caught me off guard. "Oh, uh.." I took a map from my bag.

I remembered the time when we were planning our first ever outing and we all wanted to go a country. But since we weren't as stable that time, we couldn't afford it yet. It was our dream to go to that specific country.
So, I decided to book tickets for the four of us. Luckily, I found seats near one another. Perfectly fitting the four of us.
I turned around and faced them, proudly holding my map.
"We are going to Korea."
