"You realize you love him when you see him with someone else but you are still waiting with all your emptiness."

"Hello? Is this thing woking?" I hear Capella say through the earpiece. The girls and I were sitting a booth near her table. "Copy, Maddie speaking." I say. I look at the girls as they laughed. "Leah here." "Valery speaking."

We came here to show our support for her first ever date. She was freaking out about every detail. So, we decided to come here with her and somehow guide her on what to do.

"Seriously, I am so so nervous guys!" I hear her say. I look over and see her fiddling with the hem of her skirt. She puffed out her cheeks as she plays with her fingers, eyes nervously moving to every corner of the room.

I laugh. "You'll be fine, pella." Valery says. Then, Shawn goes in the cafe. He looks around and sees Capella. His face immediately reddens as he sits in front of her. "Good luck!" Leah squeals.

"Hi, my name's S-shawn." He holds a hand for her to shake. She smiles. "Capella, my name's Capella." She glances at me nervously. "You are doing great." I say through the earpiece. I gave her a small thumbs up.

They started to converse about random stuff. Like their favorite foods, television series and etc. I smile.

It's a good thing they get along well. I thought to myself. I sip my milkshake as I watched them laugh and talk. Occasionally, Shawn's cheeks would turn pink.

I laugh. Then, I hear a click next to me. I turn to see Leah snapping pictures of them on her phone. "Pella is so gonna thank me later." I hear her say. Valery laughs. "They'd make a cute couple." Valery smiles.

We all sigh. Occasionally, we would fan girl at Shawn's funny attempts on flirting with Capella. It was so corny yet cute at the same time.

Soon, their date was over. They exchanged numbers and said their goodbyes. I smile as they awkwardly wave at each other. After Shawn left, Capella immediately went to us.

"It's so cool." She says, jumping up and down. Leah and I squeal and jump with her.

We went out of the cafe as we slowly walked to my house. "Told you, it'll be worth it." I say nudging her arm. Capella grins.

Suddenly, I felt someone bump into me. I turn to see Ren and Amy holding hands while they happily chat.

I felt my heart clench. I turn away quickly. My friends look at me with mixed emotions on their faces. Then, they spot Ren. Their faces immediately scrunch up in disgust, anger and annoyance. Of course they would react this way, if someone did that to my best friends, I'd react that way too.

"Let's go Maddie." Leah says, laughing nervously. They purposely bump Ren as we walked.

We soon arrived at my house. "I forgot to buy a dress!" I shrieked. Oh no, how could I forget? I began to panic internally. I check my wardrobe for an evening gown or at least a nice dress to wear. Capella looks at me. "Maddie, why are you forcing yourself to go?"

Why am I going?

I stop momentarily, shifting my gaze to the ground. I felt the need to for some reason. I can't tell them that. "He is important to me okay?" I mumble. Valery sighs. We plop on the couch and I immediately saw a package. It was from the three of them.

"What's this?" I mutter, taking the package. They all shared a look. "Well, we kinda knew you'd go so we bought this for you!" Valery answers. I open it, revealing a beautiful white dress. It hugs my features from above but flew freely from my waist below.

"Go and try the dress on." Leah cheers. I hug all of them in gratitude. I go in my bedroom and slipped the dress on. I tied my hair in a half bun, letting my curls rest on my shoulder.

I went outside and faced the girls. "Let's go."
