He had left not too long after Emerald began to breathe. The sun was beginning to rise and soon his pack would wake up and notice his absence. It wouldn't be long that her brothers would notice that their sister was no longer there, but he had more time till they discovered her missing unlike them discovering he was gone.
Malena was left with her, looking over her restlessly. When the sun had fully risen, she began to sense her awakening at any moment. She knew that Emerald would be confused as to this being the first time she's been out her captivity for nine years. She expected it and was mentally preparing herself for the countless question she might receive.
After heating herself some water for her tea, she put the kettle on the coffee table along with the two cups. Not long after she placed the cups down, Emerald gasped out of her sleep. Malena, who sitting on the coffee table pouring the hot water in the tea cups, faced her, looking at her calmly. Emerald's eyes were wide as if she experienced something shocking.
Her wild eyes looked over the cabin, taking in her scenery, confused as to where she was. It wasn't long before her eyes made their way to Malena, who, after pouring the hot water into the mugs, stirred herbs. She held out a cup to Emerald and she reluctantly took it. You could tell that Emerald was confused as to who she was and why she was there. She remembered the conversation between Venus and the Moon Goddess, she just expected to wake up in her room. Not meaning she wasn't thankful to be out of the hell forsaken place.
"Where... Who... Why?" she couldn't form a complete sentence but somehow Malena understood.
"You're by your packs border. I'm Malena and you are here because a young gentleman brought you to me."
"A young gentleman?" she questions completely confused. "Who?"
"It didn't cross my mind to ask. He was told to come here by someone else."
It vaguely crossed her mind but she had a feeling on who could've told him. "Debra."

Malena looked at her somewhat shocked. "Debra Landon?" she questions. Emerald nodded her head yes in response. "How do you..."
"She basically took care of me after my parents died and my brothers locked me up in the attic. After every beating, she was there to tend to my wounds. She provided me hope countless times. She was like a second mother... How do you know her?"
"That's unimportant. What is important is figuring out what to do next. Obviously you need a low profile because your brothers are most likely to come looking for you."
"I wouldn't consider that much of a problem. The pack doesn't know about my existence."
"We still need to take precaution. But not just from them but everyone, since you can sense that you are in fact a werewolf. Crossing over the border will set off trigger warning packs per say because you will be rogue."
Emerald placed her tea cup back on the coffee table and laid back down sighing, having forgotten that her scent can be tracked and that she would labeled as a rogue if captured again. "How do I get out undetectable?" she questions, clearly not knowing the answers to this.
"We're going to have to mask your scent, which isn't hard and can last for however long you want it. Werewolves will not be able to sense that you are a werewolf, you won't have a scent at all. But you still need to be careful because everyone has a scent, to mask yours will mean they can't smell you whatsoever- which will come off weird." Emerald nodded. "And even with masking your scent, you will set off the boundary alert that a rogue has entered the premises of wherever it is you go. Without your scent though, it'll be hard for them to track you." Again Emerald nodded.
"What do I do?"
Malena looked over her facial features. "How aware are you with witchcraft?" she questions.
"I've never used it, I never knew how."
She nodded understanding. "You need to be trained... I can put the mask spell on you with no problem but you will need to be taught in witchcraft to help you when I am not around. As well as your werewolf training. You are seen as a potential threat to the werewolf- and some witchcraft- community. People will try to kill you so you need to be able to defend yourself both for werewolves and witches and warlocks."

"Who will train me? You?"
"It would be my honor," she said truthfully. "But I have to defer attention to you whenever your brothers decide to look for you. It would be unsafe to keep you here regardless of them not being able to sense you. You are too close to home."
"So where would I go? I've never been outside of the territory."
Malena smiled sadly. "I can refer you to someone whom I trust."
"How will I get there?"
"Let me handle that. As for right now, we need to mask you."
With a snap of her fingers, the candles around the living room were lit again and the lights were shut off. This shocked Emerald but she didn't say anything about it. Malena got up from the coffee table, and moved it to the side. It was then that Emerald realized that there was a pentagram star on the floor. In the darkness of the room and the only source of light being the candles, the pentagram seemed to be illuminating.
"A pentagram," Emerald said to herself.
Malena looked up and smiled at her knowing what it was. "So you do know something."
"Only a little," Emerald responded truthfully. "My mother had one in her study when I was younger, she would mediate in the center."
"Smart woman," she said. "Do you know what it symbolizes?" Emerald shook her head no. "Well each point is referred to something." She motioned to the tip. "That point is the Spirit. The Deity of the Divine and represent the all that is." She pointed to the right point. "That point is Water which is tied to Emotions and Intuitions." Then the bottom right point. "That is Fire which is courage and daring." Bottom left point. "Earth. Stability and Physical Endurance." Left point. "And lastly, Air. Intelligence and the Arts. The circle around it symbolizes continual flow of life and/or energy. It's mainly used by us witches, for positivity and gaining strength."
"Men don't use it?"
She chuckles softly. "For as long as I can remember, it wasn't common for warlocks to use it." Emerald nodded her head. "Alright dear, stand in the center of the pentagram," she instructs. Emerald follows instruction, standing up from her sitting down position. She was shocked at her mobility and how strong she felt.
Standing in the center, she faced Malena who was flipping through a big thick, leather bounded book. No doubt a book of spells. Coming across the likely spell, she placed it down and drew out a small knife. Holding it out to her, Emerald took it with confusion.
"Your scent is tied to your blood, so you will need to cut your hand and have a few drops of your blood fall. Be careful, the blade is pure silver so not a major cut, alright?"
Emerald nodded and did what she was told. Pressing the cold silver blade to the palm of her hand she began to feel the sharp tingling sensation. The silver was reacting with her skin and was somewhat a warning to remove it, but she knew she had to follow through. Quickly, she cut her hand and somewhat winced at the silver coming in contact with her skin and her blood. It remained as her blood began to flow out of the cut. Forming her wounded hand into a fist, she squeezed so that the blood would come out quicker and eventually was dropping onto the star.
Not having realized that Malena was reciting something to herself, standing outside the star with her arms slightly risen, eyes closed, she was in her own world. As she continued to mumble, the blood droplets began to, what looked like, simmering on the floor. Soon, it evaporated and showed no marks or stain on the floor.
For a moment, there was a brief pause.
And then Emerald saw nothing but darkness.
