《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 23

I screamed out loud and dropped the water glass I had been holding, I had gotten up to get a drink of water. Daryl had left for his office finally feeling better to go back to work.
The note seemed to be written in blood, it had run down the wall a little but seemed to be good enough to read. The window was opened, the hot summer breezes filled the room. Carson came running up the stairs he stood behind me as he read what I was reading.
"Luna come on," Carson said thinking fast I was still trying to make sense of the note of course I knew it had been Darren. Or someone close to him. They had already attacked me once in this very room and now again I didn't feel safe.
Carson half dragged me across the yard. I didn't realize we made it out of the house or even down the stairs without me noticing. We were in Daryl's office before I could even think I didn't understand.
"I think she's in shock." Carson was telling Daryl, he told him about the note on the wall and Daryl demanded he get the pack doctor.
"Luna," the doctor said sitting in front of me. "Can you hear me?"
I think I moved from my shock state, he mumbled something I couldn't hear and said. "She's in shock best to find another place to stay while you figure out a plan for these attacks Alpha I don't think she'll be able to take another one."
That seemed to snap me out of my state, "I'm fine doctor." I say to everyone's shock.
"Joyce, we'll have to tell everyone about you tonight, I need everyone to know your Luna to make sure they can watch out from these attacks."

I found myself nodding along with his words. "I'll take Rosemary out shopping,"
The Luna ceremony was important in werewolf packs. It was like a wedding to humans or making a princess a queen to humans however you wanted to look at it, it just meant to us that Daryl and I were accepting each other as mates, and that we would rule our pack together and I would bare his name and his children. At least to Alpha and Luna other werewolves could actually have weddings and such if they wanted.
Carson goes to tell Kevin that I would be needing Rosemary for the afternoon, she was excited for me when she met up with me later, Daryl and I had moved in the pack house, where Daryl moved all unmated males and females to one side and us to another.
He claimed it would only be for a little while but I knew he didn't know how long it would take to kill Darren. Carson comes with us, but follows close enough not to look like a stalker and far enough so we could talk about our mates in peace.
"Was it good?" Rose asked me.
"It was amazing honestly, better than my first but it still hurt."
"First time? You've slept with Daryl before and didn't tell me?"
"No, Daryl wasn't my first." I tell her.
"What?" Rose gasps, so I tell her about my first time and why I had slept with him, I knew that sex hurt the first couple of times as your body gets use to it, and plus every guy's member isn't the same. I had been worried about it hurting so I slept with someone so my second time didn't hurt so much.
"Honestly it was so bad I regret not waiting." I tell her, "even though he was my best friend and I always thought he would be my mate."

"Oh I'm so sorry," Rosemary tells me.
"It's okay, but I haven't told Daryl and I probably won't need to, Daryl slept with others before me and I never said anything about it."
"Yeah I'm worried about Kevin's and my first time."
"Don't worry I'll help you out." I tell her before dragging her into P!NK.
It was a perfect place to get some sexy clothes that men might like, but mostly I go here to feel sexy about myself more than trying to turn on a man.
Then Rosemary drags me across the mall to a place I have never been to and we look at some clothes, I didn't know what I wanted to wear, if I wanted a dress or a new pair of pants and a shirt I liked. Rosemary picked a bunch of things in my size and made me go into a dressing room.
We spent all day there, it was nearly 2 clock before we left, a bunch of bags in our arms, Rosemary let me talk her into some bra's and panties for the first time. She told me that her parents wanted her to do it the human way and get married. I thought that was wonderful and I told her I'd go, but she asked me to be a bridesmaid.
We went out to eat at a cute little Cafe talking more about our mates. Carson kept texting on his phone not even bothering us. I wasn't sure if he even knew what we did today; he hadn't stopped looking at his phone.
"What got you so hooked to your phone?" I asked him after Rosemary had told me a story from her childhood.
"Mhm?" He answered as he looked up for the first time all day.
"Your phone?" I asked, pointing at it.
"Yeah what's so important that you haven't bothered to say anything?" Rosemary said.
He blushed. "Um so there's this girl . . ."
"Your mate?" I asked.
"Well . . ." he looked nervous.
"Come on Carson, we're two girls who have our mates, what's wrong?" I asked him.
"Well the problem is she's human." Carson said sadly.
"What's wrong with that?" Rose asked.
"She's a . . ." Carson stuttered.
"She's what got a third eye?" I asked.
"No, she's a werewolf hunter." Carson blurred out and then turned red as if embarrassed.
