Arya's POV -

School had gone by like normal for the rest of the week. I focused on my work, and getting that English essay finished.

I still couldn't decide what I wanted to write on, it was so hard! I've tried to write about Izzy, but not much comes to mind on what.

Maybe I could write on how we met and what we've been through together.

I stared down at the paper in front of me. It was currently Thursday, 10 PM, and I've barely made progress. I sighed as I continued to write down possible ideas.

Time's have been hard ever since highschool. Grades were my number one focus, It was all I mostly thought about. But, there was one person who was with me through it all.

I stopped there and put my pencil down, facepalming myself. Seriously? This is the only thing I can think of?

I decided to give up for now, so I pushed my papers and binder aside, and took out my phone.

My mind has been drifting to the same man for the entire week, and I found myself getting excited as the possibility of seeing him again.

I should have asked for his number, but maybe he would have thought that was weird of me. We only met on Monday. It's probably better I didn't.

Rome had seemed like he was a man of power. With his fancy suit and golden Rolex on his wrist, he had to of been. But, what was his last name?

Going into my search bar, I typed in Rome, only for pictures of actual Rome to pop up. I giggled as I hadn't even realized he had the same name as a place.

I went back to the search bar, and tried again...

Rome, business man

Nothing came up.

Pouting, I turned off my phone and looked back to my english essay. Maybe It's a bad idea to try and ignore it. But as I was about to reach for it, I heard the front door unlocking.

Checking the time, I realized Papa was home!

Smiling widely, I got up off my chair at my desk and quickly made my way to my door. Running down the stairs, almost faceplanting, I saw Papa in the kitchen making something to eat.

"Papa! You're home." I said.

He turned to me with a shocked expression.

"Arya! Why are you awake? It's-" He paused, checking his watch. "Almost 11pm, you should be in bed."

I pouted, "I was trying to work on my English assignment, that's all. It's not too late."

He shook his head, "No, it is. You need to go to bed."

I nodded slowly as he walked towards me. He embraced me in a hug and kissed my forehead, "I know you work hard on school kiddo, but you need enough sleep. Up to your room you go."

"Do you work tomorrow?"

"Yes, but I should have Saturday off."

I nodded and gave him one last hug before heading back to my room. As I entered, I glanced at the papers on my desk once more. My hands itched slightly to go and try to work more, but with another look at the time, I decided against it. I'd have plenty of time to work on it later.

So I got under my comfy covers and raised them to my shoulders. I glanced longingly out the window, wondering where Rome could be right now.

"Arya! Over here." Izzy waved me over at lunch, she was sitting with Trevor, his arm wrapped around her shoulder.

I smiled and made my way over to them, sitting across from them at the table.

Halfway through the day, I couldn't stop wiggling in my seat. I was excited to go to the café. I was really hoping I'd see Rome. He had asked when I was going again after all.

As Izzy and Trevor conversed, I opened my bag and got out the turkey sandwich mama made for me. I then pulled out a bag of chips and some juice.

"So Arya," Izzy began as I bit into my sandwich. I hummed.

"There's a party next week that Trevor invited me to, but I want you to come along! You totally should."

I paused midbite, then continued to chew slowly. A party? I had never been to one and she knows that.

I put down my sandwich, "I-I don't know Izzy, you know I haven't been, and plus I need to work on English-"

"Oh come on! Forget about school for once girl! Once you're in college all you'll think about is work. Live life for right now!"

I bit my lip and contemplated it, and then glanced at Trevor to see him looking at me.

"You've never been to a party?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

I shook my head, "No, I was only ever focused on school and that's it. I don't really know how it works."

He had a small smirk on his face, and then he shook his head, "Well, I can assure you'll have a good time, trust Izzy, she'll be with you the whole time. Right babe?"

"Yes! Come on Arya, It'll be so much fun."

I sighed, "What day is it on?"

"Next Friday so then we'll have the weekend to get rid of the hangover."

My mouth parted slightly, "H-Hangovers?"

"Well duh! What do you think there won't be any alcohol and just juice like your drinking now?"

I flushed slightly and put down my juice box, then nibbled on my chips, "Okay, sure I'll go, but you need to stay with me the whole time!"

She saluted me, "Yes ma'am."

There were a few minutes of silence as we ate our lunch. I finished my sandwich and was sucking down my juice, it was so good!

"So Arya, have you ever had a boyfriend?" Trevor asked suddenly, making my eyes widen.

"Um no, I don't have time for a boyfriend." I responded quietly.

"Have you ever wanted one?" He asked to which I was slightly confused at. Where was he going with this.

"I never really thought about it, I was always stuck on school stuff." I said making him hum. "That's too bad, I know a few guys who would gladly have you."

"Trevor!" Izzy said, slightly smacking his chest making him laugh. Izzy giggled as well making me super confused.

"Ignore him Arya, he's just being stupid." She said to which I nodded slowly, still unsure. The lunch bell rang and we parted ways, but not before I saw Trevor eyeing me up and down. I got chills from his stare, he was making me slightly uncomfortable. I'm glad we didn't have any classes together.

As the rest of the day went by, I luckily wasn't assigned any new assignments, so I had the rest of the day to hang out at the café.

The final bell rang, and I quickly packed my bag with a big smile, desperate to get there already. I tried not to get my hopes up, but I really couldn't help it.

Zipping my red bag up, I threw it over my shoulder and quickly exited the room, making my way to the stairs to get down.

Kids were pushing and shoving through each other, trying to get to the same exit.

As I made my way through, I saw Trevor hanging with some of his friends near the lockers. His eyes caught mine, and he gave me a smirk and a small wave. I decided to be nice and return the wave, which caused him to whisper to some of his friends. Their eyes snapped to me, and I quickly turned away, rushing to the exit.

As I made it outside, I saw that it was still sunny outside, making me smile. I walked down the steps and to the sidewalk where other kids walked, and made my way to my favorite café.

I wasn't going to let Trevor and his friends distract me, I was really hoping Rome was going to show.

I actually missed him this past week, and we only just met!

About a 15 minute walk later, I found myself in front of the familiar building, the same sweet smell invading my nose.

I walked inside and quickly scanned the area, only to be disappointed that I didn't see the man.

I made my way to the counter, there was no line so luckily I could order.

"Hi there, what can I get you?" The cashier asked. He was quite young, maybe 20, and he stared down at me with a small smile.

I smiled back and looked at the menu. But then decided on the same drink, but a cookie for food.

"I'll have the Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte, and...the Chocolate Chip Cookie. That's all!" I replied, unzipping my backpack to find my wallet.

"Sure thing, that'll be $5.29"

I nodded and unzipped my wallet, looking through it and grabbing a five dollar bill. I went to hand it to him, but he only shook his head. "Leave it on me, take it as a gift."

"A gift?" I replied shocked. "You don't need to do that sir..."

He waved me off, "Please, I insist. What kind of man would I be if I made the lady pay." He gave me another smile and my eyebrows rose.

"Well, if you insist. Thank you!" I replied as I put the money back in my wallet and bag.

"I'll bring it you soon." I nodded and gave another 'Thanks', before turning and heading to the same booth as before. As the minutes passed I became more and more sad. Maybe he's not going to show up.

I'm so stupid. A man like Rome doesn't want to hang out with a girl like me. Why would he?

Soon my food and drink was brought over to me by the same cashier.

"Here you go. By the way, I'm Oliver. What's yours?"

"Thank you, and I'm Arya. It's nice to meet you." I said, drinking my latte.

He smiled, "Are you waiting for anyone to show up? A pretty girl like you shouldn't be sitting all alone here. I can accompany you?"

I was about to reply, but was met with a dark, masculine voice.

"Actually, she was waiting for me."
