《Reborn as a grain of sand》Chapter 5: disturbance

As I opened my eye's I heard the sound of a drum beating in the background. Looking at the people who brought me here I could see surprise written on their face's. As the drumbeats grew louder and louder. It started to resonate with the air I could feel the power of the drums humming with energy.
The parents and butlers all fell to the ground as if struck by some invisible force. I need to get a better vantage point. I tried to stand up and, fell flat on my face knowing that I was too young to stand I crawled to the edge of the altar.
As the drum beat's slowly edged away and finally stopped the ambit energy the drumbeat had gathered. Coalesced into a ball shooting into my forehead.
I felt like my body was filled with energy and slowly I could feel my bones become more robust. I could feel my muscles grow stronger. Standing upon the altar I tried to walk forward but since I was not used to this body I moved forward on unsteady legs and tripped and fell off the altar.
Luckily because I was stronger it didn't hurt much. Slowly I got the hang of my new limb's.
Looking around I realized that everyone was unconscious walking over them I taped one of them until they were roused from their slumber.
As he sat up he got the shock of his life when he looked at me. unable to form word's he just stared at me. Turning around I walked to the mother and roused her from her sleep. After I had woken everyone they all stared at me in shock, so I did what anyone would do a sat down and stared right back.
After the shock had worn off the humans unsteady got to their feet started to stand and started to cry and hug each other and started to jump around with joy.
And the only thought in my head was ''why are they happy?''
The humans proceeded to take me to a different room smiling at me the mother talked in a sweet voice but since I couldn't understand her I just stared them. Finally, arriving at a new room the human's placed me into a small bed smiling at me. The human's walked out of the room leaving me alone.

Good, this will give me time to familiarize my self with this new body of mine first I looked inside my self to see if anything was different where I found an orb that seemed to be on fire connecting with the orb a barrage of info was dumped into my mind. Sorting through the info I learned the language of this world. Calming my mind. I pulled out a strand of energy to the outside world. The energy looked like a strand of fire I accidentally touched the floor with the energy and I scorched a gash into the floor.
........... damm that's hot. Reeling in the energy I next wounded if I still was made up of sand. Focusing on my arm I tried to move it.
It seemed to ripple for a moment and then collapsed into sand lifting my arm I wonder how much sand I have. After a bunch of experimenting, I discovered that my sand had replaced this body and this form was the default shape.
I also discovered that I could change the colour of my sand.
By the time I had finished experimenting it had turned dark.
*creeek*
The door to my room that sounded like it needed some oil had started to open slowly. So I laid down and pretended to be asleep. Closing my eye's I opened one of slightly to see who had entered the room.
An unfamiliar female face entered my view and picked me up. Placing me into a basket and wrapping me in cloth placed a necklace with a gemstone on my neck. I could see the energy in it that's new. I also noticed that she had silver hair.
Walking out of the room she looked left and right and proceeded to sneak out of the building. It was raining and the floor was muddy her feet sloshed on the ground as she ran. Thunder cracked its whip in the background.
Arriving at the stables a man was there waiting as a bolt of lightning flashed lighting up the man's features and thunder followed a second later. The man was wearing armour that shined when the lightning struck. He had a jagged scar over his face with piercing green eye's that seemed to stare into your soul with silver hair he opened his mouth and spoke in a deep flat voice that seemed to come from the earth itself.

''Mirea leave the child you know that we can't get involved with them.''
The woman holding me in my basket seemed to hesitate for a second and seemed to steel herself and spoke.
''Grey you know why we can't leave the child he would be killed if we don't help him now.''
The man's eye's seemed to soften, and he let out a great sigh.
''fine come with me I know a place where they won't find us.''
The lady who was holding me who I learned whose name was Mirea followed the man named Grey. And jumped on to a horse with Grey and stared to ride.
Mirea somewhere in the journey started to sing her voice was so beautiful
'' as the bird flew by the girl watched with star's in her eye's and wanted to fly too''
As her voice lulled me to sleep. I saw her smile and for the first time in my life, I felt true empathy.
Mirea POV
I was doing the dishes when I heard the sound of the drums. They were so full of power. And they echoed throughout the building. Rushing towards where the drum's sound came from.
As I ran down the hallways I glimpsed my silver hair.
In one of the mirrors a side effect from practising my type of mana. By the time I got to the place where the drums came from they had stopped. Grey was there already I opened the door slightly and looked inside to the sight of a baby sitting down while a bunch of adults jumped around in joy. When they eventually calmed down I spotted the masters of this household the mother picked up the baby and walked toward's the door. While making cooing noises to the baby. Gray and I hid to the side as the mother and the baby walked by us.
I was preparing to leave when the people inside started to talk.
''it's almost time when that child grows up we will siphon his talent into the true heir of the kingdom.''
'shhhhh are you an idiot why would you say that out loud someone could hear us.''
I could not believe what I was hearing. I knew the sensible thing to so would be to ignore this and leave town but damm it. I won't let that be the fate of this child.
Grey and I speed walked away before they noticed us, Grey, stopping me and held me by the shoulder's and spoke.
''Promise me that you won't do anything stupid.''
''I....''
''Promise me.''
''Fine.''
As I walked away I apologized in my heart.
''I am sorry Gray but I have to do this.''
It was night when I put my plan into action.
It was raining outside as I cast a spell over the mansion to make everyone fall into a deep sleep. Entering the room with the child I wrapped him up and placed him into a basket placing my necklace on him he will need it in time.
Leaving the building I ran towards the stables where Gray stood.
''Mirea leave the child you know that we can't get involved with them.''
I hesitated for a second and steeled myself and spoke.
''Grey you know why we can't leave the child he would be killed if we don't help him now.''
Gray eye's softened, and he let out a great sigh.
''Fine come with me I know a place where they won't find us.''
Following Gray, I jumped into the horse with him the rain covering our track's, We rode into the night. Once we got far enough away to calm down. I started to sing a song that my mother used to sing to me when I was younger.
'' as the bird flew by. The girl watched with stars in her eye's. And she wanted to fly too. So she tried day and night to fly into the sky. And I know you will too.''
