《Who Cares!!?》Chapter 35

Sounds of large and heavy footsteps coming closer and closer, like an elephant running on its back legs.
‘I cannot seem to figure it out from where it is going to come.’
They were in a hallway, and no door was seen nearby. Jason put his ear against the wall from where the sound seems to be the loudest.
‘Jason, look out!!’
Alex pushed Jason away from the wall. Just then, a humongous beast smashed through it.
The creature looked like an extraordinarily bulky and large mutant man. All his limbs were huge.
A fully-grown man would look like a boy compared to him. With a height of about roughly 9 feet, it was a monster straight out of a movie with his body covered in thick black hair to boot.
‘ALEX!!’
As he crashed through the wall, his eyes landed on Alex and threw an unexpectedly quick punch, which Alex was barely able to guard thanks to his superhuman reflexes.
But the impact was so strong that it sent Alex flying, and he hit the buildings’ wall hard.
--I didn’t think the punch would be this powerful.
Alex didn’t have any time to think.
As Alex got up, the beast quickly charged straight for him like a bull. Alex dodged him at the last moment as the creature broke through the outer wall and went outside.
The beast didn’t even notice Jason.
‘What was that?’
‘Someone who obviously doesn’t give a shit about walls. Damn, I think my left arm broke from the impact from his punch.’
Alex was stretching his arm, which was busy healing.
‘We cannot let that thing rampage, we have to contain it. Let us go.’
Alex and Jason ran outside from where the noise was coming.
Alex climbed up a tree to get a better view of the area. He was hearing the noise but couldn’t see where the beast was, on intuition he said,

‘Hey, where are you? You Hairy Hulk?’
’RIGHT HERE!!!’
Alex instantly felt the murderous aura behind him and saw the hairy hulk with a grin.
--How did he-
Alex was standing on a branch 6 meters above the ground.
He was surprised at how the Hairy Hulk got there. There was no way he could have stood on a branch with his size and weight.
The only possible way is that he JUMPED 6 meters high.
Alex locked his feet on the branch and hung upside-down using his legs, almost getting hit by the Hairy Hulk humungous fist that hit the tree’s trunk instead, and the top side of the tree trunk was blown away.
‘How strong is he?’
Alex quickly got down from the branch and ran as fast as he could to get away from the Hairy Hulk, but the Hairy Hulk was right behind him.
Jason shot a rubber bullet to divert his attention, but it was no use.
The Hairy Hulk was shockingly agile for his size. Alex would do skillful maneuvers, sharp cuts, but the Hairy Hulk didn’t lose sight of him.
‘I’ve had it with you.’
Alex stopped running and turned around to face the Hairy Hulk head-on.
‘Let’s see what you got.’
Alex jumped to get to the same height as the Hairy Hulk and did a roundhouse kick and got a clean hit to his side, but the Hairy Hulk didn’t even budge.
--Impossible! That kick is strong enough to send a 100-pound sandbag flying.
The Hairy Hulk only grinned at Alex’s pathetic attempt.
‘Is that all you got, Alex?’
The Hairy Hulk grabbed Alex’s leg.
--Shit!!.
He smashed Alex on the ground then threw him in the air as if he was a doll. Alex grabbed a branch and stayed up.

‘Fighting him head-on was a really bad idea, I can’t overpower him.’
The Hairy Hulk punched down the tree whose branch Alex was on.
The tree fell down, and the Hairy Hulk tried to attack Alex, but Jason shot an electric bullet that gave an intense shock and gave enough time for Alex to getaway.
‘Any idea on how to contain him, Jason?’
Jason then loaded his gun again.
’By contain, I meant we just need him alive, it does not matter if he is injured or not.’
Jason shot an actual lead bullet aimed at the Hairy Hulk’s leg, but it only managed to graze him since it was dark, and he was moving too fast.
He then ripped off an entire tree from its roots to use it as a shield and as a weapon and swung it like a bat.
Jason and Alex ducked as it went above.
‘I’ve got an idea, Jason. Come on.’
Jason and Alex then dashed out of the forest and ran towards a cliff.
The Hairy Hulk ignored Jason and kept on following Alex as Alex ran to the edge of the cliff and stopped. One more step and he would fall into the water below.
‘Nowhere left to run.’
The Hairy Hulk closed in the gap between him and Alex’
‘For you, that is.’
The Hairy Hulk looked backed to see Alex standing behind him, and the one the Hairy Hulk thought was Alex was Jason, who had Alex’s jacket on.
Alex then jumped 10 feet high and stomped the ground hard enough that it cracked, and the edge of the cliff broke apart, taking the Hairy Hulk and Jason down with it.
Jason took out his gun and shot an anchor to the side and propelled himself steadily climbing back up.
‘Well that takes care of that, nice job Jason’
But the earth again started to tremble.
