There was nothing strong enough for the Hairy Hulk to grab and climb back up, but he made his own. He punched the rocks so hard that holes were made and used them to climb back.

’YOU STOLE…EVERYTHING FROM ME’

The Hairy Hulk climbed back up on the island. He headed for Jason with full intent to kill him.

Jason was not as fast as Alex to dodge the Hairy Hulks fists. Alex threw himself to get hit by his punch, and it was just as the Hairy Hulk wanted.

He punched Alex hard in the stomach that blood came out from his mouth, then he punched him in the chest upwards, and since there were no trees, Alex came down to receive the third punch.

Those punches would have killed Jason.

Alex crashed hard on the ground dragging dirt along with him. Jason threw a flash and a smoke grenade to blind the Hairy Hulk as he took Alex and made it to the forest again.

‘How are you holding up, Alex?’

‘3 of my ribs broke, and I think I have internal bleeding. Otherwise, I’m fine.’

‘It has become clear that we cannot contain him, we should retreat. Are you strong enough to run?’

‘I’ll…manage.’

Alex had developed inhuman healing capabilities, but that does not make him immortal.

Even though his healing factor was more than 1000 times stronger than a normal human being, but he can still die if he was injured too severely, also some of the damage still remains from the injuries.

The Hairy Hulk kept searching for Alex.

’COME ON OUT ALEX!!!’

Alex and Jason quietly made their way to the boat.

They made sure no sound was made. As they were about 100 meters away, the Hairy Hulk appeared, but he was not aware that Jason and Alex were nearby.

Alex and Jason hid behind a boulder as the Hairy Hulk got dangerously close. The Hairy Hulk checked behind the rock as Alex and Jason skillfully moved just out of the Hairy Hulk’s sight.

After carefully verifying, the Hairy Hulk was about to go away. Alex and Jason took a breath of ease, but just as Alex made a single step, he stepped on a twig and it snapped, loudly.

‘Found you.’

Alex looked at Jason.

‘Run’

All three of them ran as if they were in the Olympics.

’You just had to step on a TWIG!! Is this some kind of joke?’

’Blame me later, for now, SHUT UP and RUN!!!’

The Hairy Hulk was getting stronger, faster, and more violent. He got closer to Alex and Jason as they got closer to the boat.

‘I will need time to start the boat.’

‘Sure, I can get you ten seconds’

Jason ran to untie the boat and got it into the water. Now he just had to fix the motor at the end, submerge it in the water and start it.

Alex turned around to get Jason his ten seconds. The Hairy Hulk rampaged towards Alex, suddenly an explosion came from the ground.

Alex had taken a grenade and planted it inside the earth.

--That should give me 6 seconds, at least.

But the Hairy Hulk was unfazed and kept on moving.

‘Jason, Hurry Up!!’

‘5 more seconds.’

--Fine.

Alex then started to count to five. The Hairy Hulk again attacked with his destructive punch. Alex jumped,

--One

and greeted his blow with his own.

--Two

The impact broke Alex’s right arm.

They Hairy Hulk then used his left hand to punch while Alex countered with his left.

--Th..ree.

The impact broke Alex left arm.

The pain was intense. Again, the Hairy Hulk attacked with his right. Both of Alex’s arms were broken, so he used his right leg this time. He kicked with his right leg to counter the punch breaking his leg too.

--F…our.

Alex then managed to stand on the Hairy Hulk’s right arm and used his remaining left leg to kick the Hairy Hulk in the face and using it to jump on the boat.

‘Five!!’

The motor started, and Jason full throttled it. The boat was going so fast that it began to skip water within moments.

The Hairy Hulk wasn’t about to let them go.

He grabbed a boulder nearby and threw it at them. The boulder was aimed directly at them even though they were going 40-45 kmph.

Alex grabbed one of the rowing oars and gave the other to Jason. Alex left arm still had some strength.

‘Give it your all, Jason’

Jason rowed his oar with both hands while Alex rowed his with his left and barely missed the boulder.

They continued to go at full speed until the island was out of sight.

‘We were lucky to escape Alex, not even an army of 100 elite soldiers could take down that thing.’

Alex didn’t respond. Jason turned around.

‘He…kept calling my name.’

Alex threw up a frightening amount of blood and went unconscious.

’ALEX!!!’

Alex woke up two hours later in a hospital, all bandaged up and saw Jason sitting on a chair beside him.

‘What…happened?’

‘After we got away, you fainted. I performed what little first aid I could and got you in a hospital.’

’Please tell me you did not perform CPR.’

Jason smiled.

‘Do not worry, I did not.’

‘I’m starving.’

‘You should be, no other person could have survived those injuries, but you and not only that, but you healed your body yourself. But your body was not healing as fast as you used to since your body was deprived of energy, all I did was get you that energy.’

Alex looked at the IV stand.

‘A bag of glucose?’

‘More like 10 bags of glucose.’

Jason showed Alex 9 empty bags of glucose.

‘It seems your body needs more energy than a normal one to function properly.’

Jason was right. Ever since the procedure, Alex’s appetite grew more massive, but it was more like, the more Alex performed superhuman feats, the more energy his body would require. Still, when he would be living his normal everyday life, he would only eat a little more than he used to.

‘We are going to get some heavy equipment to combat that thing. They should arrive the day after tomorrow until the rest in the hospital, also I will try to find the identity of that beast.’

‘I want to go to school.’

Jason was surprised.

‘Why on earth would you want to go to school after this? You need to rest.’

‘I don’t know, but some part of me really wants to go to school.’

Jason finally gave in seeing Alex was healed enough to go to school.

‘Do what you want.’
