《Playtime》Part Six: Min Yoongi chapter Twenty

She tried to leave. That was so foolish. She had no idea what she was going to get when I found her. I slammed the door shut as I step into the lobby. She stood there touching her neck. I could tell that it burned her. The fresh smell of burning flesh was strong, and yet I found it amazing. I grab her arm, give her a glare before dragging her up the stairs and into my room. I slam the door, causing the room to shake.
"ARE YOU STUPID!?" I scream making her flinch. "do you seriously have no brain in that pretty little head of yours?" I look at her, seeing her fear filled face. I sigh and sit on the bed.
"you are trying to kill me!" she spat at me. Her blond hair hanging in her face. I couldn't find the strength to do it anymore. The temptation to just kill her was strong...two strong. I clenched my fists before standing up and backing her up against the wall.
"Because it's my assignment!" I say hesitating to touch her face. The gentleness in her gaze seemed to calm me down. Her hazel color stood out against the bright sun. Her blond hair hung in her face as she stared at me, dumbfounded. Her now pitch black wings fluttered. "I would never want to kill you on purpose." I could feel her trust slowly return. The game was working.
"really?" she asks. I nod.
"I love you." I felt sick saying those words. I felt like I was going to gag as she comes closer before looking at the ground.
"yoongi..." I cut her off by kissing her. It was part of the game and I had to be fully involved. I pull her close, maybe too close for comfort but I did it. I had to make her believe that I loved her. I touch her face as she started to kiss back. She grabs onto my jacket, gripping it like her life depended on it.

When I pulled back, she stood there. Dazed. I smirk as I guide her to the bed. She collapses and slowly closes her eyes. I move the strand of hair out of her face as I examined her gorgeous complexion. She was beautiful.
"Yoongi!" Namjoon says bursting into the room. I signal for him to be quiet and point to Savanna who snuggled against the pillows. "we have a problem."

"What do you mean I have to kill her?" I demand in the mirror once we got it out of my bedroom. The devil chuckled.
"you see? She's weakened you." he snaps. "she must come now!" I clench my fists. The know-it-all was ruining my plans. I push my hair out of my face before pacing back in forth. There was no way for me to actually kill her before Halloween or else her soul will just roam free till it can find a body.
"why do you want her now?" I ask. The devil chuckled as the ruby floated above me. It glowed crimson red, making me realize the spell I put on it. The influential spell. I grab it and gaze into it.
"Use this." he ordered. "get her to agree to come to the underworld." with a loud bang, the mirror cracked signalling the end of the conversation for a good while. I sigh and shake my head. Turning to the group, I give them a disbelief look.
"are you going to do it?" Jimin asked. "we can all see that she changed you." I was starting to get really sick of everyone saying that.
"Of course I'm going to do it!" I scream, "it'll get the assignment done and over with." I start for the door and then turn to Jimin. "I need you to do something for me." He looks at me with curiosity.

"what?"
"I need you to make a move on her." I explain. "that way, she'll come crawling to me and she'll be more vulnerable to influence." Jimin's wings fluttered before he nodded.
"sure." he says before walking out of the room. I look at the ground and feel the human of me return.
"you sure you're going to be okay with this?" Ho-Seok asks. "you know the legend. Once a demon falls in love, he and the ones he chooses can be free from the curse." I did know the story. I wanted that to happen.
"I'm not in love." I say shaking my head. "And she'd never learn to love someone like me." I walked out and stopped at my room. She slept soundly, smiling. I chuckled before kissing her on the forehead.
"who am I kidding?" I say turning to the group. "we aren't giving her to the devil." The group gives me a confused look.
"what are we going to do then?" Seok-Jin asks. I slam the ruby on the ground, causing it to shatter.
"we're helping her escape."

Void Breaker
Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. Her career, her fame, her power — all of it vanished the moment she lost use of her legs. Now, she's beginning to lose hope of ever healing herself… until her world integrates into the Void. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.
