《Playtime》chapter seven

I traced the marking on my neck slowly, finding it intriguing. The way it showed power and property. I couldn't help but draw in a breath when I heard footsteps behind me. I should'v been afraid, although...I wasn't. I was calm, collected and totally clear in the head. I push my tangly rat's nest of hair out of my face as I turned to see who was behind me. Min Yoongi held out my ruby necklace. It must've slipped off when Taehyung was biting me. I force a smile before taking it. As I put it over my head, a sudden warmness surged through my body. It took hold of me, immediately submitting me to the will of the demon in front of me. I try to panic, but instead I just smile.
"Thank you." I say, but I knew that wasn't me speaking. That was the dark, desirable version of me. I fought back the urge to say anything else as Min Yoongi scanned me up and down. Stop it. My brain yelled. I hate it. I rub the jewel around my neck, as Yoongi bit his lower lip.
"Are you okay?" He asked throwing me off guard. I slowly nod, and glance at the ground. I suddenly felt shy. His once intimidating stare turned into a harmless playful gaze. "Taehyung sure fed a lot off of you." I touch the wound and nod.
"Glad I could be of service," I say sarcastically earning a laugh from him. I rub my neck as the burning sensation continues. "Will the burning ever stop?" Min Yoongi nodded.
"Eventually. Once you start doing what I tell you to do." He states matter-of-factly. I scoff.
"I'm not your servant," I say. "That'll never happen." Without warning, he grabbed my waist and pulled me close. He leans in next to my ear that I could feel his breath on my skin.

"Don't keep disobeying what you're told." he whispers. "I'm trying to keep you for as long as I can before I have to give you to the devil." I tensed at the volume and intensity of his voice. It gave me goosebumps at how serious he was. "Understood?" he asked looking at me in the eyes. I felt stuck, and the urge to please his every need. His eyes began to glow a red and that's when I said the one thing I wish I didn't.
"Yes," I say breathless. He tightened his grip, making me pull in a sharp breath.
"Yes, who?" he whispered. I wished I could shove him away. I couldn't though. It was like he had some sort of control over my body and words.
"Yes...oppa." he released his grip and stepped back letting me come to my senses. I shake my head and look around before my gaze set on his smirking.
"I love how obedient you are." he says before walking out.
-------
I traced the mark, once more. It's taunting edges left my skin burning. I pushed my rats nest of hair out of my face before sitting on the bed. I didn't think my life would come to this. Me being a slave to a demon. A really attractive, sadistic demon who knew nothing about affections. Seriously? I thought. Stop encouraging it. I look at the room that I was held in. The scarlet walls were covered in paintings and designs that made my head spin.
The wooden floor had a black fur rug in the center that seemed to beckon me towards it. The bed that I was sitting on was a queen and had a burgandy cover with three throw pillows on top. I traced the design with my finger before a bang shook the room. Jumping up, I see Angelia laying on the floor.

"Angelia!" I say rushing to her. "What are you doing here? How did you get in here?" She shakes her head.
"What does it look like?" She asks. "I'm here to rescue you, and I came through the window, how else?" She brushes herself off before looking at me. "Good heavens, child. You look awful." she brushes her hand across my face and brushes slightly across the mark, making a stinging sensation burst up my neck. I step back, trying to sooth the pain.
"That hurt!" I scream holding my neck. She grimaces at the raise of my voice, causing me to sigh. "Sorry," I say quietly. "But...that really hurt." I rub my neck as the stinging died down. She nods.
"No, it's my fault. I should've known that my touch would hurt you." I look at her confused as she sits on the bed. "Since you're marked and belong to a Demon, it means that if you get touched by me, it hurts. Just like I can't get touched by unclean things, you can't stand pure beings." I sigh and remove my hand.
I could tell some hurt was in her expression. I hadn't meant to yell, but being a slave to some creature I didn't have the patience to deal with anymore pain.
"I wish I could get rid of this," I say pointing to it. "It'd make escaping easier." Angelia's face twisted into something excited, nervous and eagerness. I look at her with curiosity. "What?" I ask.
"I can get rid of it," she says suddenly. "But...it will hurt." I look at the ground. As much unpleasant it brings, I was desperate to get rid of it.
"Do what you have to," I say leaning my head to the side, revealing the mark. She sighs and nods. She slowly touches my neck, and instantly the stinging increased through my neck. It made me want to jerk away, but I forced myself to stay. Her grip tightened, turning the stinging into a burning sensation worse than when the mark was there. I bit my lip from screaming and when she released my neck, I felt a wave of peace and security surround me.
I look at her before running my hands down my skin. Smooth and no rough edges.
"Now," she says. "Lets get you out of here."

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.

Glitch — Alpha [Swedish] [Svenska]
********* For English readers: (Might as well add this information in English to save the lovely souls looking through our works some time) I probably won't translate this work, but I'm working on another translation within YA, if that's something you'd be interested in. This one's horror/thriller, so.. yeah. Maybe sometime in the future. Otilia works at a daycare when a child disappears. Seconds later, the child reappears, like nothing had happened. She thinks she's worked too much, but when disappearences start to happen all around the globe, she and her boyfriend realize that something has gone really, really wrong. When they get an idea about what could be the cause, no matter how unbelievable, they will do everything in their power to get the information to the right people. This was my first-ever-novel and my first gamelit story (though I had no idea that was a thing/genre at the time). This novel contains a lot of violence and blood and can be uncomfortable to read for some people. There is also some violence from, and off-screen violence to, children.
