《Deep In The Heart 2019》uhh, yeah. about that

I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to announce a change of plans here.
Other than my computer dying, one of the reasons that updates have been slow for a while is because I've found working on both the re-written version of this and the current one quite frusterating. So, I've come to the decision that it'll be better in the long run if I just focus on the the re-write. This means that unfortunately, you won't get to see the ending of this arc until I get there in the re-write.
As stated previously, once I finish the new arc 1, the currently posted chapters will dissapear, and will be replaced by the new one. This means that if you're following the story already, you'll still be able to see when new chapters are coming. However, the comments currently posted will dissapear, so I plan to archive them somewhere. In addition, the previous version of the story itself will continue to exist on Wattpad.
If you'd like to read the new version as it comes out, you're obviously welcome to. That said, the events that happen will be similar enough to where you could potentially skip to the new material without being too confused. Like, you're not going to tune in to the new stuff and be confused because I changed Zoe's backstory so that she's the eiress of an Egyptian Queen, Kevin and Anja are now a couple, and a bunch of characters got killed off. That said, I'm not sure when exactly the new stuff will kick in, since the chapter count will be off. I'd start checking in once we're back in the 40s in chapter number.
In addition, the story will now be posted in bulk, instead of one chapter at a time. I feel as if writing it the way I have has negatively impacted the quality of the story, since my attention whore tendencies lead me to post a new chapter to get the dopamine boost of seeing new kudos/followers, and I end up not doing as much proofreading and careful thinking about the chapter as I should. So whenever I finish a new arc, I will schedule it to come out quickly over the course of a week or two (on RR. On AO3, I'll uh, try my best.)

The main changes that will be made in the new version will be rewriting parts I find cringeworthy, changing the order of events to fix pacing issues, general proofreading, and revaping the battle system. Specifically, the whole Ashley/Zoe being outed thing will happen after palace 1 so that it doesn't take attention away from Nova's arc, many of the more unsympathetic characters will be elaborated on more earlier in the story before the drama happens, and I'm making a couple of tweaks to palace 1 itself to give it a more coherent theme. These are changes made partially because of criticisms I got from commenters/reviewers, but also are largely things I noticed by myself and had already wanted to fix. In addition, I realized while writing Ch. 45 that giving Ashley Divine Judgement as a starter move makes her extremely overpowered, and takes a lot of challenge out of any bosses that aren't immune to bless or given a specific immunity to hax Super Fang-like skills. (If that didn't make any sense to you don't worry about it.) So I'm basically totally revamping the hidden stats/moves of each character's Persona.
I've learned to never make promises on the internet, however i will say that I'm already about halfway done with the re-written arc 1, so it hopefully won't take too long for the re-write to hit the shelves. If you've read all the through to this point, I want to truly thank you, and ask you to kindly bear with me through the change. I've been obsessed with this story concept for about two and a half years now and truly believe it deserves to be given the chance to be translated into its maximum fidelty.
Until next time,
~Bluebonnet Daniel
EDIT: Since I originally posted this, I have actually slightly changed the plan again. I actually am going to release the new version of the story as a new story, and leave this current posting up indefinitely. That said, I will still make an update to this version whenever the new one is posted.
