Welcome to the new world, Frey.
An overly exited melodramatic voice practically screamed as soon as the welcome notification passed.
"Frey! Before I am allowed to let you begin, please bear in mind that you can Private Message the Creators inside your friends list, do so only incase of emergancy or with any errors you may find. Thank you, and enjoy."
The kingdoms have been at peace for many centuries, the ground is fertile and few are unfortunate. The Die of Beginnings is awaiting your roll.
With that last notification fading away, Frey found himself in a white abyss. White air spreading further than he could imagine surrounded him and immediately in front of him, was two large, pitch black dice floating without a sound. Before Frey could question their reason of being...
Player 1, your first die will soon be rolled, this is a fate of everyone. No matter the world, everything starts with luck.
'1? I suppose I'm the first player to start? I'll be first to exper' The system seemed intent on preventing him from thinking as at that very moment, the first die began spinning.
It spun so fast that he wasn't capable of seeing the dots anymore, just streaks of white amongst all the black. He felt as though if it got any faster he might be pulled towards it, being instantly bludgeoned by the revolving die.
With a sudden gust of wind, the wind came to an almost instant stop. The dice no longer had white dots, it was as though they had been blown off from the spinning pressure. Frey was about to question if there had been a fault, as he was the first person to join, perhaps it was possible?
However, to his relief, white bubbles seemed to seep from the surface of the die before making a simple number. Number 1.

The die has been cast. Your start in life is decided. The second die will now roll.
This time, the other dice started to rotate, exactly the same thing as before happened, however this time, he rolled a 5.
The fates have been sealed.
With that last message, everything went black.

"Ugh?"
Frey found himself to be laying on what felt like the floor with his eyes closed, there was something spikey poking into his ear, probably a factor to his waking up. 'A dream?' There was no way. He used his arms to rub the sleep out of his eyes before finally opening them.
"Straw?" The spikey thing bothering him was a long, golden strand of straw. Looking around to get his bearings, his certainly wasn't home.
He was lying on a stone slab with nothing but hay and loose pieces of hiding keeping him from feeling the chill of the stone, the walls around him were bear and seemed to be made from mud, there were another two of such slabs beside him and a lit fire in the centre of the hut. Whoever lived here was living a very poor life.
"What the... No way... Uh. Status Screen?"
Frey Level: 0 Health: 10 Mana: 5 Class: Not yet chosen Titles: 2 Fame: 0 Karma: Good Status: Hunters Son Statistic points not yet unlocked.
"Ah, so it's like that, I'm actually in the game..." Frey could honestly not believe it. He felt everything, he felt the pain from having something as small as straw poke him. It was unimaginable how realistic it was. He pinched himself to check, and sure enough, he could physically feel the pain from being pinched. A game with this much immersion, could it be popular? Pain is not something that people like, he himself certainly doesn't.

Has there ever been a game that didn't show me statistic points from the get-go? and why do I have two titles already?'

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Abraham Penrose and Escyra Stärenholm threw away everything to be together. Their careers, money, and even their families were cast aside so they could live a life on the road. Both were proficient mages and felt they could take on anything as long as they had each other. They were even able to afford a small sail boat after months of saving up. Escyra wanted to see the northern lights, and Abraham was set to propose. That is, until a hurricane destroyed their boat and flung the lovebirds to different corners of the fantastical world of Zaltier. Follow both protagonists in their struggle to reunite as they discover the world, themselves, and most importantly: Love. *** Updates...as I write them. Will have a proper one post-write-a-thon! (The Gore tag is there due to action scenes. I don't plan on being overly verbose about anything, it's there so everyone feels safe!)
