《The Exploiter》Humble Living

The crackling of the open fire seemed to soothe Frey's mind, he may have been entranced if not for the muffled shouts and laughs coming from beyond the poorly assembled wooden door.
'First things first, so far, it seems as though the system is trying to smoothly integrate my in with this world. From what I can make out, I seem to be the son of either a man named Hunter or someone in the hunter profession. I should go and get my bearings, find out where I am and how to start the questline.'
Frey was garbed in typical grey rags that although covered his whole body, surely would not provide sufficient warmth even during summer. He glanced around the small hut but it was apparent that whilst there were a few bundled pieces of clothing around, they did not belong to him as they were kept close to the other "beds".
"The game won't experience its self," Frey muttered as a smile appeared on his face. After approaching the wooden door, he realized that he could no longer see the outside through the cracks, now, it was black as if it was night.
Before he could ponder the situation, the door swung towards him knocking him off of his feet sending him tumbling backwards.
Damage is taken from Environment! -7 HP
Frey lay on the floor in pain, unable to breathe due to being winded, his vision blurry due to his low health.
"Son!" A worried man's voice reached Frey's ears and through his blurry eyes, Frey managed to see a large man hunch over him.
The previous worry that seemed to have a hold over the man disappeared once he realized Frey was fine.
"You okay? What were you doing hiding behind the door like that? Shouldn't you have been preparing the food?"
"I should have been preparing the food? What food? I'm sorry, who are you? Where am I?" A bundle of questions poured out of Frey's mouth once the pain died down.

The man lifted his eyebrows and pointed his burly arm towards the fire in the centre of the room and spoke flatly. "Don't play dumb kid, you know your chores, you better have made a start on cooking that chicken when I get back from my business. It's by the door."
"O-Okay..?" Frey voiced his agreement before the man walked out of the hut, leaving Frey alone once again.
'Chores? Do I have to cook a chicken? Is this a quest?'
Frey looked around near the door but was unable to see the chicken.
"Bwok bwoak!" The sound of an agitated chicken was voiced from beyond the door.
'Its still alive?'
Frey walked over and unlike last like, successfully opened the door, revealing a small opening surrounded by lumbering, lush green trees. 'I was hoping for a village...' Disappointment was clear in his voice and his face.
"BWOAK BOWAAK!"
Frey was thrown back into reality by the panicked scream of a chicken to his side. Looking beside himself he saw it. A large chicken seemingly crammed into a wood intwined cage that was about three sizes too small for the beast.
"Poor little guy, looks like your dinner today, huh? I wonder if you will give any experience..."
Frey wasted no time in grabbing the cage and carelessly throwing the cage inside the hut and following it in.
"CHBWUAK" the chicken screamed in fear as the cage smashed into the floor and bouncing a few spaces away.
Karma -5 Title Gained: Harmer of Chicken Harm the first chicken you see.
"Ooh, Karma huh? I wonder what effect it will have in the future..." Past games Frey had passed through couldn't count the number of evil deeds he had amassed during his play time, if he ever did a good deed, you could usually expect several evil deeds to follow.
"Show my titles" Frey wasn't one to wait before finding out changes to his character.
The First Player + 20% total experience for everything. Poor Beginning The less fortunate see you as one of them, royalty may take pity. Harmer of Chicken Chickens will be wary of you in the future.

"Yesh, what a useless title."
Frey brushed the title off and walked up to the encaged chicken which was staring at him with fearful eyes.
'I have to prepare this chicken, so, kill, pluck and cook? or do you gut it before you cook?'
"Knife... I'll need a knife." Frey never remembered seeing a knife anywhere and even after a brief look around he was unable to find one. He seemed to remember that he may or may not have heard that they had their necks broken too but he was unsure, he didn't want to hurt it more than necessary as firstly he wouldn't get any experience and secondly, he felt a strange drop in his gut after he threw the chicken and heard it scream.
"Don't worry chicken, I'll try and find a way to do it as quick and painless as possible."
After racking his brain about it, he wasn't able to think of any faster way than breaking its neck, if he could even break its neck... "Even just a sharp or heavy rock would do better than my trying and failing at breaking its neck, that would just terrify and hurt the poor chicken..."
It was at that very moment that he noticed it, a small, sharp-pointed stick that seemed to have broken off of the cage when he threw it. With it, surely he could easily puncture the neck through the cage and prevent struggling and finish the job quickly and cleanly...
'Yes. That is the best option.'
He decisively grabbed the sharp stick and walked towards the chicken, it was now facing away from him staring into the fire. He crouched down to be able to ensure a fast and accurate attack, raised his weapon, and quickly stabbed down towards the back of its head.
"BWAAAUH BRAOK WUABK!"
Although the wood stabbed into the chicken's neck, it wasn't a finishing move, Frey had no choice but to pull the stick out and continuously stab it again, and again, and again until it finally stopped moving.
Frey felt a tightening feeling in his stomach after his brutal act of murder.
"I... What the f*ck... This feels so damn real...I'm... getting excited to play even more."
The stick had broken off into several pieces inside of the chicken's body. These would have to be pulled out before any cooking could be done.

Alone in a vast expanse of knowledge and void of any previous memory what else was I to do but learn? The world above awaited me, but down here it was all I could do to read about it, prepare for it. How long would it take for me to see my first of the Learned Races, or encounter my first monster? To simply see a [City Guard] or a [Warrior] maybe even a [Mage], even then I'd be sated no matter how basic the Class. I wanted to witness what I read about, the fantastical [Secret Stache] of a [Treasure Hunter] or a [Pickpocket] using [Deft Hands]. These were natural occurrences above, but alas, I was below. And this deep down, I'd see my first horror before seeing any mere monster. My escape were the books but soon I'd turn that knowledge into a real escape, I'd emerge from this dear library and claw my way above. But I'd need to prepare myself, I just didn't know how yet. So back to my books.

Everyone who were born after the Monsters turned on the Human Race, were born with Modifications to their body, and these Modifications were a singular power which conspire into something unordinary when nurtured. Neo was someone who was ordinary. He had some successes in his time at Military School during his three years there, and honestly, he wasn't any good in much else. He was hand picked by people he had never seen before, and was one of the 750,000 in the whole of Panorama.
