《Rise of the Empress of Stars》Reunion

As the first rays of light fall over the calm monastery on top of the mountain, we can see the four figures sitting cross-legged doing meditation. Zzz...zzz...Well not all of them.
'Hmm...who is snoring so early in the morning!'
Zera's eyes opened and she took a look at her little friends who are trying t to sense aura for the first time, just to see Inora's head leaning on Lancer's shoulder snoring out loud while salivating on him who is also sleeping.
'At Least not all of them were asleep. Looks like Ren might be the first one to sense aura.'
"Inora! Wake Up you need to meditate not sleep!" Zera said while rubbing the soft and chubby cheeks of Inora. Seeing that Inora still didn't wake up she took out a chocolate from her pocket, removed the cover, and placed it under Inora's nose.
"Hmm…" Inora slowly woke up with a confused face and then started to look around to find the chocolate that woke her up without paying attention to anyone else.
Lancer also woke up due to the movement around him just to find his shoulder was drenched in unknown liquid and was confused for a while.
"Hey Ren, that's enough for today, get up, let's go. It's time for breakfast."Zera said while amusedly watching Inora searching her pockets, around her, and also Lancer's pockets to find her lost chocolate.
"Hmm…So fast. I thought we just sat for a few minutes and time passed so quickly!" said Ren with a skeptical expression.
"Don't tell me you fell asleep too, Ren!" Zera said in disbelief.
"Boss, that...that, the weather was just nice and it was so calm. I might have taken a tiny nap while I am meditating." Ren whispered the last few words like a mosquito with a guilty conscience not daring to look into Zera's eyes.

What else is there for Zera not to understand from his guilty expression and the tone of his voice.
'Here I thought at least one of them is serious, anyway let it go for now. If they still fall asleep in a few days then I will just confiscate all their snacks and toys till they can sit for at least an hour without falling asleep.'
Turning her eyes back to Lancer and Inora who are quarreling about the lost chocolate and the wet shoulder Zera said "Hey you two, I got your chocolate Inora and Lancer you too fell asleep with your head leaning on Inora's while salivating! Since none of you managed to meditate without sleeping, you will go for an extra two laps around the perimeter with me and then we will go for breakfast."
Seeing that none of them have any objections Zera turned around and started to jog along the perimeter wall with them following behind.
Smelling the tantalizing aroma coming from the front yard, they quickly finished the run and went for breakfast.
"Zera! Don't run around from morning to night, you are still a little kid and your body can't bear over-exercise." Aunt Jen said, serving me piping hot porridge with a glass of chocolate milk along with a plate of fruit salad.
"I know aunt, don't worry. I just ran once and I also made new friends yesterday. We just played in the backyard near the forest clearing." Said Zera with an innocent expression as if she was not the one who just ran around for training just now.
Seeing that Aunt Jen isn't believing in her explanation," You can ask anyone from Inora, Ren, or Lancer to prove that I said the truth." Said Zera without changing her expression with a straight face while looking straight into aunt Jen's eyes.
"Okay, I believe you, and don't get hurt while playing." Said aunt Jen, helping with placing the breakfast on the table so that I can reach it.

The day ends quickly as we run around chasing the rabbits, collecting fruits, and another round of training in the evening.
"Come on Inora you can do it! Last 100 meters and you can eat chocolate from my snacks," shouted Lancer as Inora was about to give in the last lap.
"Who are you kidding Lancer, I know all your snacks belong to Zera. I can just ask her and I am sure she will just give them to me." Retorted Inora loudly while walking slowly.
"Looks like you got some extra energy for another round Inora, maybe you might as well for one more!" Said Zera with an evil smile on her face.
Watching the evil smile on his boss's face, Ren's lips twitched, knowing that someone is going to be unlucky now.
"No, no more laps I am coming Zeraaa!" shouted Inora as she sprinted the last few meters collapsing in the grass beside Lancer, and stretched out her hand for the promised chocolate.
Buzz...Buzzzz….
"Did you hear that sound?" Zera asked as she is sure that is the sound of a helicopter.
"Yes, Boss. It's just like the sound of a helicopter in the movie." Said Ren with excitement visible on his face as she jumped off the ground and started looking around in the evening sky.
As the sound got clearer by the second we ran to the front yard just in time to see the helicopter landing near outside the monastery in the clearing on the mountain.
Seeing the 1.9-meter man wearing a camouflage uniform stepping out of the helicopter stretching out his hand to help a 1.8-meter tall lady out, I just ran over excitedly shouting "Mom and Dad".
Seeing his little daughter running towards him excitedly Zale was first stunned and excited as this was the first time she ever came for a hug by herself since she was sensible. Zale stretched out his arms wide and knelt down preparing for a hug just to see his daughter run past him without even stopping for a moment and jumped into her mother's embrace making him dumbfounded and unable to react for quite a while.
After hugging her daughter for quite some time, Sylvia checked her up, down, and around to make sure she is fine while nagging how her dad took so much time to arrange a helicopter.
"You got no conscience little witch! Your dad ran around all day just to get here as fast as possible and you just jumped into your mom's arms without a word to me!" Shouted Zale accusingly pointing at Zera with a dark face.
"Stop it, Zale, Zera is just frightened and she has never been alone without us around her!" Said Sylvia giving dad a white eye.
"Come on Zera, tell mom about your new friends you said yesterday," Sylvia asked as they made their way into the monastery.
'Why do I feel that something is about to happen tonight! Hmm, everything is normal around here and there don't seem to be any evolved beasts at this stage on this planet.'
As we make our way to the room allocated to us after having dinner I still have that nagging feeling.
Bang!
Zale closed the door and locked it up, while Sylvia kneeled down and sat in front of Zera with a serious expression on her face.
'I think I know what that nagging feeling was about!'
" We need to have that serious conversation dear!" Said Sylvia.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
