《Anime Worlds System》Dinner

Gotoh gestured for Arthur to follow him and they walked towards the dining hall.
When Arthur stepped into the dining hall, he was surprised by its appearance. The dining hall was a mostly empty white room fitted only with a circular table big enough to seat a dozen people. Alluka and Killua sat two seats away from their parents and were closer to Zeno and Maha. Silva sat next to his wife Kikyo while Illumi and Milluki were nowhere to be seen. Arthur assumed that Milluki was in his room and Illumi was on a mission.
Just as he finished surveying the room, Silva spoke out, "Arthur, you're finally here. Come and take a seat, we have been waiting for you. My other two sons, Milluki and Illumi, are busy so they won't be joining us tonight."
Hearing Silva tell him to sit, Arthur took an empty seat next to Alluka and Zeno. Arthur sat next to them because it was the safest place to sit. Zeno has a policy to not hurt innocent people and Alluka liked him, whereas Killua did not like him yet and everybody else was mostly unfamiliar. As Arthur sat down he thought, 'The anime didn't give much information on Maha's behaviors and personality, how I should interact with him? I also wonder what everyone else thinks of me being here, how should I act? Well, whatever happens, happens I guess.'
Immediately after Arthur sat down, Silva asked, "So Arthur, what do you think of this place? Are you enjoying yourself so far?"
In response to Silva's surprisingly normal question, Arthur answered, "I am definitely enjoying myself so far! This place is amazing you know. I thought places like this existed only in myths. I mean, a mountain-top mansion surrounded by beautiful forests is the creations of dreams or legends, but you guys actually live in such a place."

As Arthur said that, he was inwardly thinking, 'This place must be comparable to a trillionaire's house. It really makes you think how rich they must be, to be able to afford all of this. It makes being an assassin look like a proper job, though I guess it is in a sense.'
"Yes, it is a legendary place so you're very lucky to be allowed to stay here. If it were up to me, you would have been killed for intruding." Kikyo suddenly said, obviously mad at the fact that Arthur was here, "I don't know why my husband allowed you to stay here or even live, but don't think that you're welcomed by everyone. You don't deserve to be here and you should remember that."
Arthur, honestly a little confused by Kikyo's behavior, simply stared at her.
"Kikyo, be nice to our guest. Besides, I'm not the only one who allowed him to stay here so don't act like it's all my fault!" Silva said, breaking Arthur's stupor with his response, "You should be nice to him, after all, he might be staying here for a while."
After a brief moment of silence, Kikyo settled down and Zeno decided to speak.
"So Arthur san, why don't you tell us all about your story while we wait for dinner."
Everyone nodded in agreement, causing Arthur to pause for a moment before replying, "Well Zeno sama, like I told you and Silva sama before, I don't really remember who I am or any basic knowledge about myself. Everything else however, I can remember just fine."
"Yes I know, but I figured it was best if you told everyone about yourself since we are all here," Zeno replied, "Well, now that everyone knows, let's eat. Gotoh, bring in the food!"

The food brought in was surprisingly simple, consisting of a plain burger with fries and what Arthur thought to be the equivalent to a coke. Seeing the look of surprise on Arthur's face, Silva said, "We eat food like this sometimes to remember what it's like outside the mansion, though tonight we did it to make you feel more at home."
Everyone proceeded to eat their food, enjoying the meal, though a look of discomfort was apparent on Kalluto's face, which Arthur assumed to be because of his presence. The rest of the meal ended with little conversation, mostly between the others. Arthur stayed silent for the rest of the meal before being lead back to his room by a maid. Once Arthur entered his room he closed the door and laid on his bed, thinking about what his future in the world would be like.
'Since this is 100% real and happening to me, then I might as well make the most out of it and befriend important characters such as Killua and Gon. Speaking of Gon, he must still be on Whale Island trying to catch that fish so he can take the hunter exam.'
'I might as well take the hunter exam at the same time as them, though I wonder if it will change the plot of the original story. Actually, I wonder what kind of impact on the original plot I've already had. Maybe I will take the hunter exam a year later to be safe.'
"Hey System," Arthur said out loud.
"Yes, my host!" the cute voice replied.
"How do you think I will affect the plot of the original story? It can't be that bad can it?" Arthur asked.
"Host has not yet affected the plot, though the system recommends that host should stay out of it to avoid any major problems in the future. Though if you can join or correct the plot onto the right path, Host will be rewarded."
After a brief moment of thought, Arthur decided to go to sleep. After all, he would need it in the future.
"Good night System."
"Good night my loyal host."

Her school practiced drills in case raiders came, and the town grew crops in their greenhouse-adapted homes, which were the only places warm enough during the worldwide nuclear winter. The Lakiran empire invades—a corporate-born nation overseen by their corporate-born queen, Victoria Paladino. They ride silent planes whose repulsion field veered bullets away. Three years of occupation later, an exemplar visits—a member of Victoria’s oversight committee rumored to read minds. He tells Winnie that she may have a unique mental power, or a flair. Meanwhile, in post-war Nigeria, a streetwise teenager named Naema sees a different side of the empire. Between corruption and oppression, everyone lives in squaller. People fight over assembled food pastes. She too is told she has a unique flair, not by the empire, but by a fugitive woman who is the last vestige of an ancient witch coven, and she knows a dark secret about what the exemplars do to people like Winnie and Naema. Current Arc: Arc 2 - Comet Order: Slayer is a modern LitRPG progression, inspired by works like Solo Leveling and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. If you like a character-focused story, a system that allows for various types of magic, some romance, all with a foot in realism, then perhaps you will like this one. You will see clever characters, strong characters, absolute idiots, and more, interacting in the modern world. The story is structured into Sagas and Arcs. Sagas revolve around a central plotline comprised of multiple Arcs. Due to the premise of Saga 1, do not expect much progression in the story until the saga ends.
