The only thing the scarecrow saw was the road and the slowly changing trees. The power that had given the scarecrow life was making the long dead and rotting tree start to rise again .
The nearly 2 days of life had past with nothing interesting besides the small fight and the rise of what he had come to call the fire ball. To scarecrow every new plant , rock and Gust of wind made a new love of life and his new found love for life Grew with each movement.
The scarecrow had no need to eat or rest so many miles had been eaten up under its steady gate.In the beginning the new born scarcrow had moved like a baby deer on a frozen pond. With each mile the gate grew easyer and smoother till the scarcrow could strut down the road without a care in the world.
The post that was currently in the view of the scarecrow each arrow shaped sine bolted to the wooden pole. Looking in different directions the scarecrow looked left and saw an endless supply of trees and road. As he looked right he saw a tower above the trees standing tall. It's rotting roof barely breaching the bold branches. A red glow beaming from the very top gave off a sense of fear and terror. This had no affect on the newly shattered scarcrow so all he saw was a red ball that he really wanted to get a better look at.
The town of high church had been a average town that’s only odd feature was the church that had a large bell tower that could be see for miles.
The scarcow looked up at the stone building that was the only thing standing as all other houses had been wooden and had rotted long ago.

The stone of the church that had once been White was now a dark black a horrid aura coming off like tendrils of a monster.
The churches wooden doors had roted away leaving a large dark hole as the only entrance. The scarecrow that had never felt fear for the dark and couldn't feel it anyway he wasn’t going to start now.
It had no idea that the black aura was trying to pull the soul of the living things out. The scarecrow trotted into the darkness it's soul so weak and underdeveloped that the aura didn't recognise it as anything worth taking.

A dark laugh rang through the halls making every monster of the dungeon hide in fear.All but one scared that they would be the reson for the laugh as they no who ever was would die slowly and painful.
The one exception to the rule let out his own soft chuckle happy as he had been in a while.

The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature.
