I… Really regret agreeing to fight in this coliseum. I mean, yeah. Let’s go test this guy’s strength in a coliseum! Yes, I do know some self defense. But that involved, staying light on my toes and keeping my hands up to protect my chin, head blah blah blah. That is why I made the blades on my wrist reach my elbows. This way, even if my punch doesn’t connect, I can still scratch the person. So it all comes down to timing… I have to punch, have the person barely dodge, then pop the blades up. It might be a jerk move. But if your life depends on it, would you really, really care?
Not really. So it won’t matter. But I’m not sure if my opponent is human… And I don’t know if they have monstrous strength which defeated the people of my race… And I like my life thank you very much.
In this case, maybe I could incorporate the claws into my fighting style? The last time I was in a melee all I did was turn in circles and smash everyone up… But it’s best not to do anything risky… After all, I still have no idea did all that damage… And that makes me worried…
For the 10 battles… I just made the battles back to back, I do want to get them over with afterall. What would the point be in dragging something out if I still have to do it? My first battle is going to be in a minute or so…
“And our next contestant today is… ELDRITCH!!! Today he is challenging Hidra! One of our long standing veterans! Regardless, let’s welcome the newbie ELDRITCH!!!” Says the announcer.
Ah, that’s my cue to walk out of the gate…
“3,2,1, BEGIN!” Shouts the announcer.

First come first serve! Charging forwards, I raise my arms up into a boxing position and just before punching, I lash out with my foot towards his midsection. Successfully puncturing him. With the momentum on my side I drive my foot down and trap Hidra to the floor. Did I mention I added small 3 inch blades to my toes? Yeah, it used all of the pure mana I had… But it would help my fighting style...
“SURRENDER OR DIE!” I shout into Hidra’s ear.
“I… I surrender!” He shouts.
Wow… I didn’t think that a veteran would give up so quickly...
“And Eldritch wins! What a surprise! The newbie won! Give a round of applause for him!” Announces the announcer.
Yeah… I hope that the next fights are like this…
Yeah… I blasted through all of the fights. This is my last fights. All of my previous fights consisted of me either faking a punch or a kick and the opponent over reacting, which leads me to kick instead of punching… I thought this was the coliseum… Is it that people here don’t actually fight and that the only people who fight are trained in the army? I… Still don’t know…
Yup… Time to enter my. What? Isn’t this not fair at all? In the arena, the place is filled to the brim with people I’ve beaten up and a bunch of other people I haven’t met before.
“Since our newbie was winning with such ease, it’s time to see if he can handle more!” Says the announcer.
More? MORE? This is a whole damn army! What am I supposed to do? Use magic? Oh wait, I can use magic…
“3,2,1, FIGHT!” Announces the announcer.
“BY MY WILL FORCE FREEZE ALL MOLECULAR MOVEMENT IN THIS ARENA!” I chant. I’m not taking any chances afterall.

“Wait! Wait we surrender!” Shouts all 30 of my opponents.
“Wow! Eldritch was actually a mage, but considering his physical prowess, that is a big surprise!” Says the announcer.
There. I’ve done my damm 10 battles. I can have my guard job now right?

What the hell.
