《Romance of the Three Beasts》5.1 - Tiger's Charm

The days passed as they trekked through the land. Plains, plains, and more plains. There was a forest in the distance, but the pair were following the trail that was beaten from years of caravans… after Tiger led them the wrong way the first day.
Finally they arrived at Sult. Sult was a small town along the way towards the centre of the state. It was home to 5000 people, with heavily armoured guards as well as a small retinue of soldiers.
Wolf led the way ahead of Tiger as they approached the town gates.
The guards at the walls, wearing full chain mail, held up their hands as the pair approached. Upon their backs were long cloaks of black, and upon their breast was the sigil of Sult, which was a portrait of the Selt Bear on its hind legs. It was tradition within the town for a group of guards to kill a Selt Bear at least once a year.
“Halt strangers…” The guards eyed up the two who were unarmoured and unarmed, but with one adorned in the Selt Bear fur. “What brings you to Sult?” The other guard continued.
“Ho!” Tiger raised his hand in greeting, a large smile on his face as always. “We’re just passing through. We killed a Selt Bear and want to get rid of it’s parts.” Tiger offered in response.
“A Selt Bear…” One guard replied with narrowed eyes. Suspicion dripped from his lips like poison. “How did you manage that? You had no weapons, no armour, and I see no injuries upon you.” They clasped their spears tight, wary now.
“We are martial artists.” Wolf replied, bowing his head.
“I was the one to beat it.” Tiger smirked, crossing his arms and flexing.
“A Selt Bear is a powerful creature… It takes at least ten to bring even a single one down…” The guard swallowed. “Even then, ten wouldn’t return…”

“Eh? Is that so…” Tiger rubbed his chin, which was growing a small stubble. “Well, that’s that.” He shrugged, still grinning wide.
The guards exchanged glances with one another. “I’m not sure we should allow such dangerous people in…” One whispered to the other.
“Ah, is that so?” Tiger sighed and crossed his arms again. “Well, can you tell us if you saw an injured guy come through? He’s dark and broody.”
The guards were shocked that they were found out. Tiger’s senses were pretty good. He continued to smile, though the smile didn’t seem so sweet.
“What? We… didn’t see anyone like that come through…”
“Weird…” Tiger exchanged a glance with Wolf. “Are you sure? He calls himself Dragon. He’s about this tall, normally looks like he’s been stabbed in the gut and he’s having a bad day.” Tiger motioned with his hands.
“Dragon?” The guards shook their head. “We can ask the others, if you’re willing to wait…”
“Sure.” Tiger then stepped off the road and then lay down. He welcomed the feeling of grass under his back. Wolf remained standing.
The guards thanked them for their understanding and then left them, though several others appeared atop the walls and stared down. Tiger could hear them muttering newly formed rumours about he and Wolf, but didn’t pay them any mind. Rumours were just that, fun little phrases that may or may not be true. He’s appreciate it if they focused on his devilish good looks, but they didn’t seem to mention it even once. Strange.
‘Weird… Dragon should have come by this way… Could he be going around instead, avoiding the towns? He doesn’t need to… Unless he’s being chased…’
Tiger’s gut instinct was negative. He sat up, arms crossed as he thought. He met Wolf’s eyes and the pair nodded.
‘This isn’t good…’ He thought. Still, Dragon wasn’t one to get into sticky situations, even if he did have a knack for getting into trouble, as well as getting lost. Regardless… It’s not as though he would die, he’s too tough for that.

Evo-Gaming
Evolution based StarCraft story with game-like elements. Everyone gets a good cheat-like system with well design UI and player-friendly system. I get this broken piece of shit Alpha version. Not to mention, that starting at the very bottom is not that fun. Oh well, let's hope things get better later. Warning - If you read this now, you will be essentially beta tester. The story will include biology, chemistry, but will not focus on it too hard. I aim to please both groups but inevitably will probably alienate both the people who dislike the subject and the ones who like it.

Alterra has entered the global stage, willingly or not. For now they remain unknown. A small blip in the expanse of the universe. But who can say how long that will last? Fight by grit or steel. Survive, and grow. Peace is a luxury for the victorious. Author Note: There will be three main characters. They start separately but join up together as the story progresses, and will be together for the larger part of the story. Book Cover by Nico Melba: https://www.deviantart.com/nicomelba

BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.

Travels along the Astral Road
The words in these scrolls depict the path of Bai Qi, the greatest scholar of his time after he was forced to leave his life, achievements, and even body behind to save himself. Assuming the persona of Wu Guang, he will have to start his cultivation from zero on the weakest area of the lowest plane possible. How, when, and at what cost he will reach his previous strength? Will he surpass it? Or fall along the way? A mix of XianXia and XuanHuan with slight touches of western fantasy. The first book will center more on explaining qi, cultivation, and other elements of the genres - so if you are searching for some constant battle action, the start may be a bit slow. The second one will go on a probably OP trope, with the MC being simply too good for his environment.Plans are to write at least seven-eight "books" (About 120 chapters per book). Currently, the chapters being uploaded are part of the 5th book. The current schedule is at least one chapter every "Wednesday" (could be a day earlier or later, sorry, my times are strange atm), plus up to two chapters each week if I am able to. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge], always. Completed Challenge, x2Waiting for the next one!
