《Moniker's Mana》Chapter 7

Scarlet lead Moniker to her mother. Her goal was to get Moniker suitable clothing to wear as he was still in his shabby grey robe boots.
"My mother is always good with clothes. She will be the best help."
Soon Samantha was in front of Moniker. Sizing him up for a proper robe. A robe is what defines a mage. The color of the robe shows what magic they specialize in.
"How about silver as the base of the robe and a golden trim since like those colors so much?"
"Trim?" Moniker asked in confusion however Samantha continued on swiftly and deftly
"I'll just get started then."
The mana around her index finger spun and began to weave and stitch The silver sheen of base emitted a powerful look of nobility while the golden trim highlighted the silver complementing them both to make the most beautiful robe has ever made.
"Pretty..."
"Thank you."
Moniker dawned the robe, slid the hood back away from his head, and then was directed to a mirror by Samantha. Of course, she herself did not appear in it because she was part vampire however in place of Moniker's reflection was a white shadow.
"I wonder what race he is from."
"Me too." Scarlet wondered with her.
Moniker then left the ground in favor of flying. Scarlet went to a disclosed location to change from her dress into her armor. Scarlet was going to a village to show Moniker what the place was like. They were on a path of stone in the middle of the forest. The trees around it were tall and thin. Then a silhouette approached from ahead.
"Who?"
"Don't worry about it, Moniker."
The person approached Scarlet and Moniker. He had white hair and white eyes and was wearing a blue robe.

"Hey, Scarlet. Are you ready for the ceremony? Who is he? Why is he flying?"
Scarlet disregarded the first question and went to the next.
"He was at the bottom of the dungeon. I cleared it."
"You cleared that thing? I thought it was a joke that your dad made. No one has ever cleared it."
"Who?"
"What's the owl's name?"
"Its Moniker."
"What's with the robe? Some type of unique magic?"
"Maybe, but he's not a mage yet so he needs to go to the academy with me."
"Academy?"
"Yeah, you're going to learn to use magic."
"He doesn't know how to use magic? Then how is he flying?
"We think it's because of his race."
"What is he?"
"I think it's some sort of ancient sky elf."
"Well then, hello there Moniker. I'm Nova.

Mage Among Superheroes
Turlough is a mage. He also happens to be an orc, generally lauded as being less intelligent than humans. He was unfortunately born with the Curse of the Barbarian, meaning that he can’t level up except through combat- which greatly hinders his ability to show he can be a proper mage. In a world with necromancers, dragons, invading armies, and all sorts of other monsters he would still be able to advance quickly, but unfortuantely… that world is not his world. An unprecedented peace reigns across the land, and in the last several decades there’s been little use for people capable of fighting- and thus little reason for people to fight him. So when he sees a portal in his master’s study he takes it, hoping to find a horde of demons or something equally foolish to combat at low level. But instead he ends up in a strange city full of skyscrapers and people running around in colorful outfits. Superheroes- and of course supervillains as well. What dangers and opportunities could await him in such a strange and unfamiliar world? Only time will tell. Inspired by many things in the superhero genre, and Super Minion specifically- though while the setting will share some standard elements, it is an original setting that will hopefully be as engaging as many of the other universes. Schedule: One chapter each Monday/Thursday, approx. 2000 words.

Dungeon Devotee
Through all of Linaria, no dungeon holds such a grip on the dreams of men as the Eternal Depths. Hundreds throw themselves against its trials each day. Dozens survive, walking away with power and wealth beyond their wildest dreams… until they go back for more. One way or another, they all eventually feed the Depths. Edmund Montgomery Ahab has sworn to destroy it. Underleveled, undertrained, and underprepared, Edmund steps into the maw of the world’s greatest predator, a sword in his hand and vengeance on his mind. At first his task seems impossible, but with every level he earns, every piece of loot that drops, every secret he uncovers, and especially every bit of power he can squeeze from his mysterious connection to the Aspect of Madness, Edmund crawls closer to accomplishing that insurmountable feat. With nothing else to lose, Edmund has already given the Depths his life. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes the dungeon’s right back. Dungeon Devotee is an episodic serial. It will never be taken down for KU. Each chapter details a single floor of Edmund’s journey through the vast Eternal Depths, with all the levels and loot and lack of cliffhangers that entails. New chapters come out on the first of each month.
