《Restarting life as a peasant》Chapter 17

Using my water pressure powered forge blower I started to make a lot of melted steel. But I didn’t need to shape them with my power hammer. I just smelted first iron lumps to something more pure and then smelted them into liquid hardened steel. After that I just shaped 10 spearheads a time with bringing out of the forge as liquid and shaped them with my magic powers into the spearheads in air. I waited long enough for those 10 to cool down and take some sort of hard form in the air. When they became solid again I just left them in the ground to cool more. After that I just quench them and deal with their heat treatment for the right kind of hardening. After all that I sharpened them with my water powered sharpening wheel. I produced 10 spearheads alone every day with relative ease. I never let anyone enter my forge. If someone from the village came to my smitty they knocked I got out. Take their broken tool and tell them when to come take it back, fixed.
One day my master knocked on my door. He said “Hank, I heard you earned a lot of money in gambling” I really didn’t like the gambler infamy. But my family needed to explain how we suddenly got rich. With a smile he said “I can sell you all this stuff and go to Taylorsville to my daughters.” He was smiling. He said “I can sell the smithy for just 50 gold. But because you are such a famous gambler we can gamble for it. If you win you pay notting If I win you pay 100. I openly rolled my eyes. So he wanted to be ripped off. I said to him “I only play dice, do you have dice” he brought out his dice. Those dice were of course loaded. The Old wolf knows how to play it. He threw his dice and It was snake eyes but, suddenly the dice decided not to stop and turn one more time it was 1-3 a useless dice. Of course that was me. I throw the dice. Sneak eyes. I said to my master “I won you lost.” He was shocked. He looked at me and said “I don’t know how kid, but you cheated.” I said “You shouldn’t use loaded dice against someone who knows it.” He smiled bitterly “You knew, I didn’t want to screw you, you are rather talented. I saw how goblins bring you metal and wood. You trained them. Yes you are not the first in history to do that but that is a rare talent. And I know playing that kind of gamble you already had to make big money from smithing. I knew you are much better than me while training you. So I wanted to get rich quickly. In the end you would simply gain it back quickly anyway. I said to him “I answer people who wrong me with revenge. But I never pay the good done to me with ungratefulness. Master, tomorrow morning come to my home, I will pay you 50 golds.

My next two weeks were the same every day. I exercise my fire mana while waiting for the forge to do its job. Then shaping 10 spear heads with my magic quenching, heat treating and sharpening them and then go home, eat, make some conversation with family mostly about how Tim’s land clearing goes, and go to sleep.
When my order ended I still had 2 months to go. So I decided to make myself a damascus steel sword and learn how to read.

A-Live AI
The year is 2247. For almost two hundred years Sentient AI research has been banned. Everyone knew this, and yet no one has ever given up on finding the perfect setup for it. Restricted AI are rare, but possible to get ahold of if you have the money and the clout to get through the law for it. Especially when it deals with the military. Alfred Homis is an engineer and has spent the last three years working for the United Terran Military's Research and Exploration Department. Specifically to help build a 'shackled' AI who's prime directive was to explore potentially habitable worlds. Worlds that are far cheaper to colonize and add to the United Terran Directorate's fold than terraforming. During the AI's maiden voyage things go horribly wrong, taking Alfred Homis along for the ride. Thrown into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just a little messed up, Alfred finds himself trapped inside the very machine he'd helped to build. Add magic, hostile fantasy creatures, and two different pantheons of 'Gods' to the mix and things get even more complicated. Oh, and an invasion between universes to boot. But that's just all in a days work though for Alfred, the AI Lord. Authors Note: Hi guys! Long time no see. And yes, I know that's all on me. But I blame life for that. Anyway, this is my new work, and I hope you guys enjoy it! The chapters are a little shorter than I'd previously posted in my other stories, but I cannot say that I have the same amount of time or energy to write them like that anymore. Sorry about that. Still, some warnings: There is cursing in this story. I am not going to edit it out. There will be sexual content later. Blood, gore and cruel depictions are all planned. If that isn't your thing, I'd suggest you turn back now. There is also my dry, and often not-so-funny sense of humor. And oh, it's all in first person gain. Haha. I just tend to write better that way. If none of that bothers you, then enjoy the read! Feel free to comment, point out mistakes, or make suggestions! Reviews are nice too, but please lay off the criticism until the story gets good and going. Thank you. Note 1: Some edits to the synopsis.

Storm
The Storm started six months ago, and no one knows where it came from. All they know is it hasn't stopped for a single day, and you better follow the one rule: Don't go out in the rain. Hiding in the broken building of her old high-school, seventeen-year-old Marylou is one of the few to have survived this far. She doesn't believe in the Ghosts -- shapeless creatures said to roam under the rain outside -- but, to be fair, she doesn't really believe in anything except booze and the unconditioned love of her ball python snake, Evil Noodle. Chance brings Marylou together with Amy, a mysterious girl with an even more mysterious past, and Dean and Ray, two young men running what they call 'the last pizza place in California'. As the Storm rages on stronger by the day, the foursome will have to make a choice: keep hiding under roof after roof, waiting for starvation, or set out to the road and face whatever hides out there, under the Storm.

Blurred Childhood
DISCLAIMER: I wrote this story before the Fazbear Fright books came out, more or less confirming that Foxy Bro is Michael Afton. I took this story down for a little while because I wasn't sure what else to do with it, but I decided to put it back up because I worked for a long time on it but I would like you to have this little PSA in mind. Thank you. :)Now for the synopsis:Michael quite literally wakes up to impaired memory and a distant family who he thinks might be willing to help him get his memory back. Soon enough, he learns about the many dead people he's been close to and the mystery surrounding them. Michael then starts sticking his nose in places he doesn't belong, getting himself in trouble, all the while his family seems to be falling apart.
