I got to bed early, my little sister Charlotte came to my side "Bro, why is Tim so sad?" I looked my black haired puff cheeked five year old little sister patted her head and say "Don't worry he is going to be fine"

Since the day I came to this world every evening until I slept I meditated. I wanted to learn how to use magic. Until this evening nothing happened. But this evening finally I felt the mana. Even if I achieved magic use I didn't intend to show any magic abilities. Churches and magician guilds of every kingdom keep a tight control over magic. Magic users were rare and valuable. But I didn't want to be controlled. So I was going to keep it to myself.

When I felt mana I understood why magic use is rare not because you need inherent special genes. When I came to this world I felt mana. I know how it felt. I am adept at meditation from my previous life. Despite all this and meditating every evening and every night it took me a month to feel mana in the air. Not bending, collecting or shaping it, just the feel. I understand it's going to take time. But I had time.

Next morning I swept the floors of smitty, cleaned the tools. Then the master showed up. Looked at the shop and said "Good, we have an eager young man here" Then together we fired the forge. Melted some iron and cast the metal into a dirt cast. In the cast it took a rough shape of a spade. Then we reheated it and beat it the right shape. One spade head took us more than an entire day. When I got out of the shop the sky was already dark. I walked home. Very tired fell to my bed.
