《Purrge》Chapter #2 Project Beacon

Journal of Doctor Marco, Director of Project Beacon
25 September 2018, Tuesday
I am fascinated to mention that, at last, I have found a proper test subject for ‘Project Beacon’. Although the earlier test subjects were also quite promising, but I could tell from the looks of this subject that he had an enormous potential lying dormant inside of him, and my judgment was right on the spot as this subject tagged as Subject#634 successfully passed the sampling test by showing zero signs of rejection for the artificial ilk*, that we synthesized. Although the species of this subject is same as test subject #13, but the thing that distinguishes him from subject#13 is its intriguing behavior; talking about behavior, this cat understands us unlike any other animal… it responds to our questions and orders and is able to comprehend different scenarios and adapt according to them. This type of intelligence is rarely seen in animal. But we observed a strange thing with him… he went berserk when he sensed even a faint smell of tuna coming from someone, and attacked that person fiercely while aiming on his throat for an instant kill and wouldn’t cease his attacks until he was provided with a tuna. We discovered this strange behavior of him when he, one day, attacked Johnson while he was eating a tuna sandwich for his lunch, I don’t know about its history as this cat was handed to us by the guys of animal control who warned us about his fits … but nonetheless, I’m quite excited as to how this test subject will perform in the actual transfusion process.

Today was the day Subject#634 was given his first course of artificial Ilk transfusion; this is a stage where 95% of our test subjects fail by developing the symptoms of minimal, partial or complete rejection. Although the subjects showing minimal to partial rejection are saved by using an internal cleansing technique and are able to recover in 1 to 5 months depending upon the level of rejection and the subject’s status.

I must say Subject#634 is quite something… there were no signs of instability like fluctuating heartbeat or discontinuous breathing; the subject was totally unconscious on his first transfusion as intended. This result was never achieved before; maybe this had something to do with a greater dosage of anesthetic that was being given to him. Well the best part is that subject passed the first transfusion stage with no signs of rejection… but we would still have to wait for a week, before we give him his second course of transfusion. As we must ensure that subject doesn’t show any signs of rejection.

Subject#634 is in a good, stable condition and doest shows any kind of mutation. It seems, as if there was no artificial ilk transfusion done to him in the first place! This is simply unbelievable! Because the other thirty one test subjects, who qualified the first stage of project beacon exhibited some signs of post transfusion trauma or fatigue or a change in behavior followed by the symptoms of body mutation! Also the subjects underwent the first course of transfusion needed some time to stabilize and for that they needed over a month or two to do so and that situation gave us plenty of time to perform experiments on other animals, as to reduce the time being wasted and also to broaden our domain of the project by incorporating and observing different animals.
But this situation of subject#634 leads me to the conclusion that Subject#634 is indeed compatible for advanced stages of this experiment as of now only a single subject besides him was showing promise of reaching advanced stage of project beacon.

Subject#634 is left in isolation room to recuperate.
29 September 2018, Saturday
I’m tired today because of hypertension and stress, so I won’t be writing much today… Today Subject#634 was subjected to α wave exposure for duration of 2 hours. This was done due to the fact that he had recuperated successfully in a single day; his brain frequency perfectly resonated with the desired ‘α beacon’ frequency. The subject is ready for β wave resonation.

Today Subject#634 was subjected to β wave exposure for duration of 2 hours; his brain frequency perfectly resonated with the desired ‘β beacon’ frequency. The subject is now ready for γ wave resonation. I must comment that subject#634 is quite amazing, as up till now he had shown 100% successful result… it seems like we’ve found quite a treasure, I’ve ordered the cloning department to preserve subject#634’s original DNA as well as his Mutated DNA as a backup, if in case Subject#634 somehow fails at an advanced stage.

It was obviously a fun day for me, as today Subject#634 was subjected to γ wave exposure for duration of 3 hours; his brain frequency perfectly resonated with the desired ‘γ beacon’ frequency; also, when we conducted a MRI scan of his brain we saw that his brain started to develop. The subject is now ready for his second course of artificial ilk transfusion!
2 August 2018, Tuesday
Subject#634 is left in isolation room to recuperate and is constantly being monitored.
3 August 2018, Wednesday
Subject#634 has entered the second stage of ‘Project Beacon’. Today, he was given his second course of artificial ilk transfusion. This stage is different from the previous stage, as the subject is given no anesthetic while transfusion process is going on.
When the transfusion began, the subject resisted and screamed for a while; but soon, he returned back to his normal condition.
This situation is also quite amazing, as all the other 31 test subjects who went through the second course of artificial ilk transfusion went berserk after some time and tried to commit suicide by mutilating themselves with their own claws or horns, or tried to hit the walls of their confinement till they bled, until they were restrained and given tranquilizers. Subject#634 didn’t go berserk after the second course of transfusion.

The King's Queen
#7 in vampire #1 in queenThe world has gotten boring to him after living for many centuries, through many generations. He thought of it as a curse. His gift was anything but a gift, in his opinion. He loved killing people. He always has. He enjoyed seeing the life being drained out of them, quite literally. He always drank every last drop of their life essence, he didn't have mercy. Though he was the king there was something he could never have unlike others of his kind. A soulmate. He hadn't been turned or born from vampire parents. No, he was born a monster from human parents. The first of his kind. Why he was born like it, he didn't know. He didn't care. All he knew was that he wanted to die already, since he had no mate to look forward to. He lived because he couldn't die, at least not physically. He had no reason to live, but many reasons to die and even though he tried many times by many methods, none of them suceeded. He staked himself, on multiple occasions. It felt like a needle piercing his skin. He hung himself. He didn't die, but he hung there, very much conscious. He went on the gillotine. It made his body dissapear and reappear in the same spot he was born in. He took his heart out. He grew one back. He bled out. His blood regenerated. He used silver stakes. They burned his flesh. He overdosed. It did nothing since drugs, alcohol and other dangerous things do absolutely nothing to him, except get him under the influence to a certain level. But none of them filled the emptiness in his heart. He just needed her. But all he got were unimportant girls he used and forgot about. He never felt anything for them. He couldn't. But then on that day while he was walking around a small town's forest, he felt the emptiness slowly being filled up a bit. He stood there in shock. He couldn't believe it. He almost cried of happiness, right then and there. He had her. He had a mate. His mate. His one and only mate. His Queen.
