Norsk Battleground, near Ciara Citadel, the Last bastion of hope, Before the Great Purrge.
It was early summer season in the northern hemisphere, spring had already passed but no flowers bloomed again… all of it started 18 years ago when the ruler of all the underworld, The Demon king “Zamareous” started his conquest for the Upperworld. Countless of nations fell before the might of the demon army which was deemed to be unstoppable; one by one… every piece of land got devoured by the demons and many races of the upperworld lost their homes and habitats… all the plants wilted, all the forests disappeared… all the animals and monsters got captured, the greedy demon soldiers looted everything till nothing remained the soil lost its nourishment, the water lost its purity, many people lost their hopes, some fled, some committed suicide, some got captured… those who retaliated, got killed. People got pushed backwards and backwards and backwards… till they reached the end of the lands that were located on the extreme north-western region of the world where a bunch of few countries remained…
All the four races put aside their differences and made a joint effort to push the demon forces, the dwarves became friends with the elves… the humans fought together with the giants…also all the remaining nations joined their forces together thus creating Allied Armed Forces. But even by putting their differences aside and joining together for a cause changed nothing, as the demon army led by the four great generals conquered most of the part of Eisenhiem kingdom the last powerful nation of the world, which shielded many smaller kingdoms and countries behind itself.
*BOOM**BOOM**BAAM**BOOM**BOOM*
Many spells were being exchanged between the armies of allied armed forced and the demon forces. Countless men screamed as they were being slaughtered by the demons. This was supposed to be the battle that would decide the fate of the entire races of the upperworld and it seemed as if the allied armed forces was the one who was losing it.

A dwarf knight hastily ran towards a huge pavilion which was known to be the HQ of the allied armed forces, he bowed as he entered the pavilion and reported the current situation in a panic stricken voice to a man who was yelling and thumping his fist on the map that was pinned to the table.
“Milord! The last wall has fallen; all of our heroes have been slain! Our men are losing morale!”
“What about René and his company? Where are they?” the king asked the knight in a stern voice.
“They are nowhere to be seen… they were last seen fighting the demon commander and their forces.” The knight replied in a voice lower than before.
“Tell the men to hold on… the help is arriving soon!”
“Yes milord!” the knight bowed again as he left the pavilion.
“Damn it, the Intel that we got about this demon army being led by the demon general Goro was false… how the hell is the demon king Zamareous leading the army!” the king angrily thumped his fist on the table.
“Sire, this is not the time to lose hope. We are the last hope of all the creatures that live in this upperworld. Their survival depends upon our victory, if we lose today… everything that we love, everything that we live for, would be destroyed by the demons.” The Head Mage spoke in a feeble voice, he was an elder elf with ghostly white skin and on overflowing white beard; he had lived for four centuries and never seen the upperworld in such a sorry state.
“What should we do now? All of our heroes have been slain, most of our men are dead or captured. The last wall has fallen, soon the citadel will fall... all is lost! I don’t know what to do anymore!” the king yelled in agony as he threw everything that was kept on the table with one swipe of his hand.

“We were the last bastion of hope! Our kingdom was the last line of defense against the demon forces… we had all the advantage, the terrain, the weather, the location, superior forces, heroes, weapons, magic … we had everything , but still it wasn’t enough to beat the demon forces… simply because the goddamned demon king had to arrive at the last moment boosting their morale.” The king muttered in a low tone.
“Head mage you are an elf that has lived over four hundred years, you should certainly know something… I am a human…I lack the experience that you have.
“Sire, I can suggest a plan! I had prepared it as the last option in case we ran out of options.” The head mage spoke while he took out something that looked like a tattered cloth.
“What’s the plan? No wait, let’s do it… we’ve got no time to waste.” The king spoke in a panicked tone.
“Sire, My plan is to summon an elder dragon, the most powerful species in the upperworld… but and he may target us too…”
“What but weren’t they just myths … Well you know what… I don’t care anymore, summon him even if he bites us dead!” the king ordered.
“We will do as his majesty commands us to do.” The head Mage replied, he then instructed his protégé to create a huge magic circle outside the pavilion and told everyone to step outside the pavilion.
“We will now commence the summoning ritual! Everyone please step back!” the protégé announced as he stepped forward towards the circle.
Soon, all the mages including the head mage started chanting incantations for summoning while standing on the edge of the circle, a minute later the circle started glowing and producing noises.
*WHIRRR**CRACKLE**CRACK**ZOOM**THUD*
*MEAOWWW**HISS**GRRR*
*CRACKLE**CRACK*
“It seems like the summoning was successful… everyone step back, we will wait till the fog clears.
“But sir, aren’t dragons kinda big… we should at least see a silhouette of something big.” An elven soldier asked the head mage.
“Silence… We’ll see that once the fog clears.” The king snapped.
Soon the fog covering the magic circle vanished, revealing a normal looking cat hissing madly with his furry tail pointed upwards.
“Head Mage what’s the meaning of this!” the king shouted in rage!
“Sire I don’t know … this was clearly the ritual to summon the elder dragon… wait a minute… Charlie tell me the truth did you had a drink last night?”
“Nno!” The protégé refused quickly as to avoid facing dire consequences.
“You are…” *SWISHHH*
Before the head mage could complete his sentence, he got blown away by a massive gale of wind that got created by the cat suddenly springing in action, the summoned critter ran straight towards the demon king leaving a violent dust storm trailing behind him; he completely ignored the demon army as he dodged their attacks in an unbelievable pace. Everyone present at the battleground witnessing this sight was shocked beyond their beliefs! The demon king himself was startled by the speed of the furry little creature that now stood in front of him and was just about to pounce on him.
“Hahahahahaha! This creature thinks of me as a mouse and wants to hun…”
*SLASH**SLASH**SLASH**THRUD**CHEW **GOBBLE*
*PRRRR**COUGH **COUGH*
The demon king got ripped into many pieces and was now being gobbled up. All of this happened before he could complete his last sentence and this incident was etched in history forever as the Great Purrge!
