《Luna》The Wandering Spook, case 3

Within an eyewink, Kevi almost has the chance to kill her, but the scissor is directly flying to her face and she has no options but to duck its trace, makes her missing the first shot.
She tries to fire again. The woman strides to Kevi and twists her wrist, with the other hand holding on the pistol slide makes it incapable to shoot again. Kevi is slamed into the shelf, the stinky potion are exploded on her head, prods her airway. She drags the woman inches closer, hits her nose with her forehead, but only pushes her one step farther.
As her wrist being sprained by violence and her finger is unable to pull the trigger under the pain, Kevi changes the pistol on the other hand-----
But there's no bullet fired out, only "click" sound of the fire pin!
By the time they are grappling with each other, the woman takes the magazine out. Just as she finds out it, Kevi throws the pistol at the woman and rushes to her front.
The woman blocks the attack, but doesn't notice the coming kick, right at the wound on her belly. She let out the first scream, or more like an animal's roar.
She has a weak point. She's not some invulnerable killing machine......
Confidence of winning this fight rises in her mind, Kevi advances her attack at the woman's wound, with kicks, knuckles and knees.
The woman covers the wound and falls back a step, sweat with muscle trembling are spread all over her body, but the strong will still keeps her remain standing.
Being mad at the woman's tenacity, Kevi roars out in rage, and pushes her over the wall-----
She's so concentrating her attention on her wound, regardless of a sudden strike by sneak:
The woman takes a vessel of alcohol and shatters it on Kevi's face. Strong causalgia intrudes her eyes, Kevi let go of her hand by reflex. She reels back and half-kneels at the floor.
Before Kevi could hold still, another powerfully knee stamps on her forehead, right at the bone between her eyebrows, almost kicks her for two meters away.

Faint consciousness with weight-loss invade her brain like an ocean wave. Through dim sight, Kevi sees the woman bending to pick the pistol up, reload it and walks to her.
"Why chasing me? All these days?" she says in quave, "WHY?"
"What you are talking about......" Kevi weakly murmurs, "I don't know------"
Before she finishes, the woman stomps at her chest, makes her almost lost her breath.
"Liar, all of you!" she inches closer, "I know your men set me up, in Minsk......I didn't say anything, didn't do it! But WHY ME?"
She puts the gun at Kevi's head. As her eyes on her colar, the woman's face turns to a chalk-white pale. She drags the agent-card out.
"Auga?" she reads it in a trance.
In the meantime, footsteps are closing in outside the door. The woman stands up, with one hand presses on the bleeding wound and another holds the pistol, kicks the door off and escaping out.
Legen Sie die Waffen!
Legen Sie die Waffen! Jetzte!
Order shiessen wir werden!
The woman shoot back, as if she defies the order without a second's calculation. Crossfire is now burst out in the narrow corridor. Kevi heaves herself up, tries to walk to the door but then falls down leaning the wall as her strength is insufficient to support her body.
Smoke of gun powder all over the place. The woman retreats to the exit door and disappears.
"Hey! Here!" Kevi shouts with all her effort, "European agent here, please help!"
One SWAT police comes to her side, lifts her up to the lavatory cleaning up the remain alcohol inside her eyes.
"Thanks, sir," Kevi let out a breath in relief, "I'm Agent Auga Grinta......"
"I know, Luna," the police takes off his helmet, "It's me."
Inside the U.S.S.A HQ, officials are watching the updating videos from the police helmet recorder, updated just 10 minutes ago. The video is shaking in a dim and blur light, seems like they are in a rapid moving, with only a few images of police sheltered behind the car-----

"Riot center, riot center, this is patrol K-21, in warschauer strasse......we are having heavy fire! where's the support?"
"Copy that, K-21, the support will be in 5 minutes......"
"Scheisse! We can't hold on for that long!"
"Calm down, K-21, I repeat, the SWAT team is on the way and will be there in 5 minutes......"
"Fuck you! Don't you get what's happening here? This guy, using our own weapon......is butchering us like dogs!"
Then the chaos is end by a "click" sound, the sound of bullet piercing through helmet. The picture is turned upside down, with blood and dust smudges the screen. People inside the conference can clearly see now: the attacker, with a Mossberg shotgun on one hand, staggers towards the camera. She targets at the screen.
Bang---
Video is cut by here, the screen is replaced by thick snow-flake now.
"It's Helen......" Noah echoes within lips, "For sure. "
He looks around the room. Everyone is shocked to silence, as if the grave gloom around the place is covering them in the ocean of ink.
"Not need to mention me twice, I see it," Simon says, "Don't act like I'm a kindergarten boy."
"We must take action," Director Essenstein calls around, "Image how much damage could she bring."
"She's an elite sniper in your top tier military forces," General Gu says to Simon, "I'm afraid your local police are not matched."
"GSG9 is taking charge now," Noah responds, "They've located her at Charité."
"Nearly 1 mile from here?" Essenstein sneers, "A skilled war machine is having her killing spree 1 mile away, under some most powerful people around the world. Poetic huh?"
Simon stands up, his eyes are flaming at Noah.
"Well, looks like your wish comes true, director."
"My wish?" Noah says in surprise, "God knows I've never aimed at Helen in person. I must judge things based on my professions!"
"And my profession, is to eliminate," Simon's voice becomes cold and grave, "To clear the threat. And now she became the threat."
"But why?" General Gu asks, "Why would she do this? Don't you think we should talk to her first, Simon? It may connect to Molotov somehow."
"That's your work to do," Simon picks her coat up, "My job, is to keep the summit safe," he glances at Premier Minister Grant, "Thus you can sit and drink tea inside our Bundestag and decide our world's fate. But keep your dirty hand away, from my girl! She can only die like a soldier. General Fox will understand. He's a patriot for his life."
He pushes the door harshly and leaves without looking back.
"Well, he has his principles," General Gu shrugs his shoulder, "I can have the empathy with him. After all, I've served in PLA for forty years and I've seen too much ladies and gentleman like Simon there."
"He's right," Noah sighs in a lost, "Berlin summit is much more important than her. I wish I could have a conversation with her but......we have no choice."
"I agree. She already has too many chances to contact your agent," Essenstein says, "About 2 weeks, she could have contacted. It is her who keeps the distance. Maybe she's not so innocent under such circumstances."
General Gu stands up too, and shakes hand with Noah.
"Director Bauer, I just want you know that we are on your side. You are not fighting this war alone," he nods to Noah, "Chinese government, never surrender to terrorism and its threat. If there's anything need our assistance, the AGI is ready to help."
"And so the CIA," Essenstein also says to Noah, "I guess one of our Seals Team are on board of USS Ford, ready to set off at anytime."
"Appreciate with all my heart, gentleman." Noah watches them leave together, "Hope that day won't come."

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
