《The Billionaire's Proposal》Familiar Face

I stared at the all too familiar building in front of me. My feet were glued to the ground as Adrian came to stand next to me.
"It's going to be alright." Adrian assured as he interlocked our hands. My brown eyes moved to look into Adrian's blue eyes.
His simple touch caused an unwanted feeling of electricity to flow through my arm all the way to the rest of my body. The comforting gesture made my insecure and fear to go disappear.
"Let's do this." I state before we head towards the entrance of Jacob Corporations.
Adrian didn't let go of my hand but instead held it tighter.
"Adrian." Damian's voice stated. I could feel Adrian tense up but I gave him a reassuring squeeze and smile.
Damian's gaze turned to look at me. His eyes ran over my body hungrily causing me to give him a disgusted look. "I really shouldn't have worn this pencil skirt." I mentally tell myself.
"We came here to talk about the transitioning process not for you to check out my wife." Adrian growls.
"Future wife." Damian corrects. "Jane is your fiancé not your wife at least not yet. She can still change her mind about marrying you, right Jane?"
Damian turned to look at me and I felt like I was shrinking under his piercing gaze.
"I could." I reply gaining a worried look from Adrian as a smirk formed on my lips. "But I love Adrian and I don't want any other guy but him."
Damian's smile turns into a frown as Adrian displays a smudged look.
"So shall we get started. We don't want to be here any longer than we have to be." Adrian states. Damian leads us towards the meeting room.
The white fogged stained glass doors open to reveal a series of familiar faces; Mr. Jacob, Mrs. Jacob, and their servants.
"Jane?" Mrs. Jacob asks alarmed. Her face pales as her green eyes stare back at me in disbelief.
"It's Ms. Hamilton to you." I respond with confidence. Adrian's hand that was now placed on my lower back made my confidence boost.
"Future Mrs. McKeller." Adrian added causing me to smile.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob's blank expressions caused a smirk to appear on my face.

"Now, how about we get started with this transition." Adrian states with a smirk of his own.
"So, Mr. Jacob and his son have agreed to hand the company to Adrian McKeller, CEO of McKeller Industries." Mr. Jacob's lawyer states.
"I can't do this." Mrs. Jacob announced before standing up and walking out of the room.
"Guess she can't stand the fact that we'll be the owners of the company now." Adrian whispers.
"Guess so." I reply. James walks into the room and I give him a greeting smile.
"Sorry for the delay." He apologizes. "Shall we continue."
James takes the seat next to Adrian and whispers something into his ear. Adrian simply nods before turning his attention back to the Jacob's lawyer.
"Mr. McKeller we just need you to sign this contract that states you are now the legal owner of Jacob Corporations." The lawyer announces.
Adrian takes the pens and folder from the man before signing the papers. He hands the items back to the lawyer.
"Ms. Hamilton, I need you to sign right underneath." The lawyer states causing me to knit my eyebrows together.
With a confused expression I signed the papers before handing them back to the man.
"You're lawyer will receive copies of this contract as well as the original contract. Mr. McKeller, Ms. Hamilton you are now the new legal owners of Jacob Corporations." The man informs and my mouth falls in disbelief.
I turn to look at Adrian who had a smile on his face. Slowly everyone starts walking out of the room until it's just Adrian, James, Damian, Mr. Jacob, and myself.
"Well Adrian I guess you won." Damian states with a sour look on his face.
"You bitch!" Mrs. Jacob's voice exclaimed as she barged into the room. "You little gold digger! You made us lose everything!"
"You made lose everything as well. So this, it's just as taste of your own medicine." I snap.
"You bi-"
"I want your offices to me empty by one o'clock today." Adrian growls cutting Mrs. Jacob's sentence short. "Let's go Jane."
Adrian interlocks our hands and we walk out of the room with James right behind us.
"You'll pay for this!" Mrs. Jacob's voice echoed through the empty halls.

"Well that was something." James comments as we exit Jacob Corporation offices.
"Sure was." I reply. "Why didn't you tell me you were planning on making me OWNER OF JACOB CORPORATIONS?"
"Because I knew this would be your reaction." Adrian answers.
"Adrian, you and I are getting divorced after the year is over." I state. "Why would you make me owner of a company that belongs to you when we're going to be going our separate ways in a year?"
"You're going to need a job after you leave me." Adrian points out.
"You're giving me ten million dollars!" I reply.
"Jane, Adrian basically got revenge for you." James states making his presence known. "Just say 'thank you' and don't think about the 'why's'."
I roll my eyes and sigh, "Fine."
"Welp, I have a cup of coffee and a beautiful lady awaiting me so I'll talk to you guys later. Bye." James announces before walking towards his mustang.
I turn to look at Adrian and state, "Thank you...for everything."
"You're welcome." Adrian answers. "Now how about we go get some breakfast?"
"Sounds good to me." I respond with a smile which Adrian returned. His twitched lips caused a warm feeling on my chest.
What are you doing to me, Adrian?

"So, what's your favorite color?" I question before taking a sip from my iced coffee.
"Blue." Adrian answers in a duh tone. "What about you."
"It's either turquoise or light purple." I reply.
"What is the theme color for our wedding?" Adrian questions.
"Turquoise." I respond.
"It's close to blue so I'm glad you chose that over purple." Adrian states. "If you can travel anywhere where would you go?"
"Cancun." I answer. "What about you?"
"I've already travelled all around the world but my favorite place has to be Rio." He responds. "It's a colorful and festive place. I like the fun aroma it displays."
"Really." I ask with a raise eyebrow. "I would have guess somewhere like London."
"Ehh, it's nice but I prefer Rio." He replies.
"I honestly did not take as a 'fun' guy." I state as I swirl my straw.
"Really? Why?" Adrian questions jokingly.
"Oh I don't know maybe because your always a grumpy twenty year old." I reply.
"I'm not grumpy I just take my job seriously." He answers. "I've grown up watching my dad and grandad dedicate all their time to the company and I know how much it means to them. I don't want to disappoint my dad and make a mistake and lose his company like Damian did."
"You won't." I reply as I place my hands over his. "But you also can't spend all of your time locked up in an office. You're twenty four Adrian, not forty something. You need to live your life and enjoy yourself. Yes, that company may mean a lot but is it really worth losing all those special moments? For example, what if one day you have a son or daughter and it's their first day of school but you can't go because your too involved in work? When you have kids they're going to need their mom and their dad. Trust me when I tell you it's a horrible feeling when you don't have someone there supporting you."
"You really are something Jane." Adrian states with a smile lingering on his lips. I can't help but smile myself.
"Jane?" A voice states from behind me. I turn around to be meet with a pair of familiar hazel brown eyes.
"Sebastian?" I ask as I stand up and walk towards the five foot nine, browner haired guy in front of me.
"Jane!" He replies before pulling me into a warm hug. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you, too." I reply. "How have you been?"
"Great!" He answers as we pull away from the hug. "You look great! Wait? Weren't you working as I a waitress?"
"Yeah but I-"
"Jane, who's this?" Adrian asks cutting my sentence short.
"Adrian this Sebastian my high school best friend. Sebastian this is Adrian...my fiancé." I introduce the two.
"Fiancé?" Sebastian questions with a confused look. "Since when?"
"Where have you been these past two months?" I ask.
