《The Billionaire's Proposal》Here Comes The Bride (Part I)

"My grandfather got sick so I had to leave for the past three months," Sebastian explains. "I just got back today."
"I was wondering where you went." Sebastian's gaze switches from me to Adrian.
"So, when did you guys get engaged?" He questions returning his attention back to me.
"Two months ago," Adrian answers. "When I knew that Jane was the woman for me."
"When is the wedding?"
"July 1st," I respond with an excited smile.
A couple of days ago Adrian and I sat down with the wedding planner we hired; Kate. We all decided the wedding would take place on July 1st which was four months away.
"And of course you're invited."
"Once we get the invitation cards we will make sure to send you one." Adrian adds.
"You better," Sebastian jokes.
Sebastian looks down at the gold watch wrapped around his wrist and mutters a curse word.
"What's wrong?" I question.
"I'm going to be late to my job interview." He answers. "I am supposed to be there at twelve sharp and it's eleven fifty five."
"I'm sure it's okay if you're a couple minutes late." I assure.
"It's at McKeller Industries," Adrian and I turn to look at each other. "And I've heard that the new boss is a douchebag."
I suppress the laughter that was threatening to escape. I turn to look at Adrian who seems more amused than angry—in fact he doesn't seem angry at all.
"Huh, I didn't know my employees thought of me as a douchebag." Adrian stated with a smile tugging at his lips.
Realization dawned on Sebastian as he turned to face Adrian with his jaw dropping to the floor.
"Nice to meet you Sebastian, I'm Adrian McKeller." Sebastian turned to me with a look of disbelief.
"I knew you looked familiar!" Sebastian exclaims causing me to giggle. "Mr. McKeller I'm so sorry for calling you a douchebag. I hope this doesn't cost me the job, I really need it."
"What department did you apply for?" Adrian questions. His body was now in business mode; hands folded together, back straight, and business tone.
"Marketing, sir." Sebastian answered.
"Have you had experience in marketing?" Sebastian nods before pulling out a folder from his brief case.
Adrian looks over the papers which I assume were resumes. He silently nods to him self before setting the papers down.

"I'm extremely sorry Sebastian," Adrian begins and Sebastian's face forms one of disappointment already knowing what Adrian will say next.
I felt bad for Sebastian and in that moment I wanted to something to change Adrian's mind but before I could say anything Adrian cut me off.
"That you're going to have to deal with a douchebag as your boss." Adrian finished.
After processing what Adrian had said a huge grin spread onto Sebastian's face.
"Thank you so much Mr. McKeller!" Sebastian thanked as he shook Adrian's hand.
Adrian let out a chuckle and answered, "Call me Adrian."
A smile spread across my face as the two gave each other a manly hug.
"Thank you so much Adrian," Sebastian stated. "It really means a lot."
"No problem," Adrian replied. "How about you stop tomorrow by the office and I'll show you around."
"That would be great."

"It was really nice of you to give Sebastian the job." I state. The limousine comes to a stop outside the mansion and David opens the door for us.
Adrian steps out first and holds his hand out for me to take which I do. This action caused electricity to surge through my hand and chills to run down my back. No, Jane you can't feel this way towards him. Remember no attachments.
"He seemed like a nice guy and we need the staff." Adrian answered as we made our way towards the kitchen. I grabbed a glass cup and poured myself some water.
"Either way thank you." I reply with a smile which he returns.
Adrian's iPhone 7 plus vibrated against the tiled countertop. Adrian set his blazer on one of the stools before checking his phone.
"It's my mom," Adrian announces. "She want us to go with her this Saturday to her friend's son's wedding."
"We should go," I state. "Maybe I can get some inspiration and ideas for our wedding."
"She said it's a beach wedding so we're going to have wear beige or white." Adrian informs.
"I think I have a white dress." I state as I try to remember whether or not I do have a white dress or not.
"Don't worry we'll get you one." Adrian replies. I'm taken a little back by his generosity but just shrug it off.
"Alright, we have to be there by five in the afternoon." Adrian adds.

"Okay." I answer as I search through the fridge.
"We're going to go buy you a dress." Adrain states as he sets his phone down.
"You don't have to." I respond as I stand straight. "I'm sure I can find a dress in my closet."
"You're right I don't have to—but I want to." His words caused a tingly feeling on my chest.
"Fine," I sigh in defeat.
I grab my purse and follow Adrian out the door and into the limousine. David opens the door for us and we step into the car.
"Take us to Danielle's Boutique, David." Adrian instructs and David nods before starting up the vehicle.
***
"Good afternoon Mr. McKeller and Ms. Hamilton." The honey blonde haired girl in front of us greeted as we entered the shop. "How may I be of your service today?"
"May we take a look at your best gowns." Adrian asks politely and the girl nods.
"Follow me." The girl takes a book which contained a variety of dress selections. "If there is no dress here that catches your eye I have a few selections in the back."
"May I see them?" I ask and the girls nods in response.
We walk towards the back of the store and various gorgeous gowns were lined up on racks.
"This dress right here would compliment your skin color and bring out your eyes more." The girl suggests as she shows me a beige silk gown.
"Why don't you try it on Jane?" Adrian suggests.
I take the dress from the girl and she leads me to the fitting room. I carefully take the dress off the hanger and put it on. There was an X pattern from the chest to the waist and two flowers decorated the shoulders. The dress hugged me in all the right places and I was in love with it. I exit the room and twirl around.
"You look amazing." Adrian compliments as his eyes roam my body approvingly.
"I guess I'll take this one." I tell the girl who nods in approval.
"Wise choice." She states. "I'll go get your receipt ready while you get changed."
"Thank you." I respond before she walks away.
"You truly do look gorgeous." Adrian replies causing my cheeks to heat up.
"Why thank you." I respond with a smile. "Now if you'll excuse me I need to go changed."
Adrian steps forward and leans down to whisper in my ear, "If you need help taking off the dress I'll be out here."
His husky voice sent shivers down my back and caused goosebumps to form everywhere. Adrian smirked and stepped back before I rushed into the changing room. I lean my back against the wooden door and let out a breathe I didn't even know I was holding in.
"What are you doing to me Adrian?" I ask myself as I try to regulate my speeding heart rate.
I let out a long sigh as I run a hand over my forehead. Help me God! Please! I take off the silk dress, Adrian's words still lingering in my mind. "He's just trying to get into your pants." My mind states. "That's why he's being so nice." Maybe or maybe he likes me? Ha, ha, ha Adrian like me, never. My minds probably right and he's just trying to get into my pants. Once I am dressed I put the dress back into the hanger bag before heading outside. Adrian takes the dress as we head towards the cashier.
"The cost of the dress is fifty thousand." The girl states causing my eyes to widen.
"Yeah that's alright." Adrian answers. Before I can protest Adrian hands his card to the girl.
"You don't have to keep doing this you know paying for my stuff and buying me stuff." I state as we walk out of the boutique.
"It's okay, you're my fiancé so it really is no problem." Adrian answers.
That's it I can't take it no more.
"Are you being nice because you want to get into my pants?" I question and Adrian seems taken aback.
"No, I am being nice because I want to be friends and not keep fighting all the time." Adrian replies. "Why would you think...you know what I was just trying to be nice but I guess even if I am nice you still think of me as a douchebag."
Guilt washes over me as Adrian finishes his sentence. His once happy mood turn back into one of grumpiness. Nice going Jane!
"Adrian wait!"
