Titus thought for moment then thought in his mind, 'only notify me of important things.' Then he continued, 'it should be able to identify, as it is my subconscious after all, what I consider important right?' However Titus' thought, was all for naught (get it... Rhyme?) because as soon as he thought of his option it automatically confirmed his decision. Although it did not notify him directly, at least he felt it because again it is his own subconscious.
'Speaking of leveling up... Why did I not see a single statistics. Like strength, hp, mana and etc.' Just when Titus thought of this, his question was immediately answered when the 'Skills' category popped up.
> Skills
Authority (Passive)
All inhabitants of this world have this skill regardless of race, species and etc.
All of the inhabitants of this world have complete control of themselves. Fate? Destiny? There is no such bullsh*ts. You are the ruler of your own life and its path to take from the day you are born till you die. All the decisions you make are yours and yours only.
God's? Goddesses? There are many. Want to become one then take control of the steering wheel and drive it into the path of God hood.
FAQs:
Since you have the authority of everything around you then you can make your own intrepation of measuring one's strength.
After seeing this Titus immediately dived into deep thought because although it may seem insignificant in the future it will help him avoid danger by knowing their strength.
'Okay then it is decided. I will not change anything. I will just simply follow the level system here with level 2 being stronger than level 1. The same hierarchy goes with the skills as well. But when cases like using a skill where it is to temporarily increase your strength then we can use simple mathematics and add how much strength (level) has been stacked. ' Titus then concluded in his mind.
Example of this is below.
Fighter A' s level is 5 and fighter B's level is 4. With that said, if fighter B uses a skill than can add 2 levels worth then it makes fighter B's strength equals to six meaning that fighter B is much stronger than fighter A after the skill activation. However once the skills duration is over then fighter B's level will revert back to its original level until the skill is activated again. (Skill system will be explained in future chapters)
However, if both fighters have the same level (refers to both actual level and measure of strength if specified but it will do even without specification) then it will base on external factors on which will decide the victor such as techniques in fighting, the terrain and even the skills the fighters have.
Now that was settled Titus moved on for now, 'if there is somethings that the above cannot apply then I'll just add something then as again I have the authority to do so. ' Titus thought as he got back from his thoughts and backed his focus again on the three remaining notifications.

A new skill is obtained.
Focus (Passive)
Since you performed a feat that relates to the foundation of this skill thus it has been unlocked.
Effects:
-It will allow the user to divide the user's focus to do different tasks simultaneously.
+Number of how many times can the user's focus could be divided: 2 tasks (Upgradable: Increases when requirements are met.)
Note: Please keep in mind that 'thinking' is not included in the counting as it is a different type of task (more natural aspect).
'Maybe it was because of the swings I did back when I was clawing up the rabid dog made it possible for me unlock the skill?' Titus deduced.
'In conclusion I can do some sh*t and if it somehow relates to a skill and met a certain requirement or close to the foundation and the base of the skill then I can unlock skill like so.' While Titus was thinking go ft that in his kind he unconsciously grinned as his mind was already starting to run at full speed as he thought of his 'genius' plan.

A new skill has been obtained.
Survivalist (Passive)
Since you performed a feat that relates to the foundation of this skill thus it has been unlocked.
Effects: (Effects may vary depending the way the user obtained the skill)
- this skill allows the user to use the surrounding terrain to the user's advantage more effective.
+100% increase in efficiency has been added in anything related to the terrain even when outside of combat.
- this skill allows the user to quickly analyze the situation the user is in and maximize survivability.
+100% increase in effeciency of the minds processing speed.
Note: User can not add additional effects through actions and execution. However, external factors such as skill books having a different effect can be used.
'So the skills can so be like this.' Titus thought as he read through the description. 'It is possible to have different effects of the same skill through the way it was obtained. Also, you can learn the same skill again apparently with the use of external factors but only the effects are retained. And most importantly, I think I have to rethink my genius plan as this unexpected factor came up.' Titus then added and was accompanied by a nod.

A new skill has been obtained.
Hunt (Active)
Since you performed a feat that relates to the foundation of this skill thus it has been unlocked.
Effects:
- Once activated, the skill can allow the user to refrain the user's prey (Opponent) to escape or flee in the middle of the combat. Or it can be done vice versa when the user is the prey the user can use this at perfect moment to temporarily stun the enemy and escape if the user has the ability to.
Note: This skill requires the perfect timing of the user as the skill only lasts an instant and will not be viable again if used on "the same enemy again in the same combat" (if the user fights another enemy apart from the enemy the user used the skill then when the user fights the first enemy that was affected by this skill will now again be susceptible as the user switched combatants during the whole 'fight') as their susceptibility will be removed.
'Finally an active skill!' Titus exclaimed in his mind as his eyes widened from surprise. 'Even though it's quite wrong to say that I' finally' learned an active skill while this is the first time I've leveled up and obtained skills through this method and in a suggestive tone at that, but then again it's an active skill in the end! ' Titus self wronged and self justified himself due to his surprise and happiness.
' Although the skill is very difficult and can be quite complicated to execute but since I have to learn it first all the more "it is an active skill which require more studying than a passive skill as passive skills is only a matter of greeting used to compared to active skills where you have to execute it" and even the skill description emphasized that 'perfect timing' is needed. Nonetheless this skill will inevitably useful overall since it can both work in two ways, also there is a loophole because if I considered one as an enemy then I can use this skill freely and does not matter if it really is my enemy as long as I considered it to be, and the explanation of the susceptibility is a great help and a great thing to keep in mind. ' Thinking upto this point, Titus dismissed all of the above and was planning to learn the skills later after he got out of here.
Why? Because the smell of blood coming from the rabid dogs dead body is starting to spread and worst case scenario will attract even more monsters into this place. 'Won't I be dead at that point' Titus thought as he remembered how lucky he was to have only met a stupid dog rather than an intelligent opponent or else he won't even mention of surviving against something stronger than the rabid dog at that and this moment as he was still to weak.
Resolving himself, Titus then climb down the tree and approached the dead body laying flat on the ground.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
