The entire gym was silent. Will was into much shock to speak. Did someone slip something into my breakfast? Am I starting to get so desperate that my imagination is playing tricks on me? Since when did I become lonely enough for this to happen? Will thought to himself as he looked at the winner. Well, what do I have to lose? "Sure, When do you want to go?" Will asked with a smile as he looked at her. "This evening and my name is Sara McGonagall," Sarah said with a slight stutter. "Will, to make things simpler, why don't you two go on your date at the café?" Kyle said with a dark chuckle. "Sure, that would be a great idea," Sara said weakly. How could this happen? Do I not get a saying in anything? Will said as he was trying to control his temper but only succeed in causing his tails to wag harder. "What time do you think would be best?" Kyle asked as he looked at Sara. "I will be finished with my classes until seven, eight would be okay," Sara said lightly as she stared at her feet. "Okay then it is settled, Will will walk you to the café from here at eight-thirty," Kyle said with a smile as he walked to the bleachers. "I look forward to it," Will said as he looked at Sara who looked at him and started to blush. "Okay, that concludes our first mini-tournament. I hope you made your instructors proud." Will said as he joined the rest of the instructors in the bleachers. The entire student body froze and looked to the bleachers. They were too far entrapped with the tournament to pay attention and just watched the fights from the sides. Will then sat down and waited for the bell to ring as he thought of a reward to use for his next class. Thankfully his second class wasn't until after lunch. The bell rung signaling the end of the first period and everyone except Will left. He checked his celestial System: Tabs: Injuries Skills Maps Main: Name: Willenstark Kraft-Will Race: ??-Tailed celestial fox Strength: 16 Agility: 20 Intelligence: 17 Charisma: 8 Luck: -24 Mana: 42 Mana Manipulation: 17 Vitality: 17 Endurance: 23 Willpower: 28 Light manipulation: 9 Lightning Manipulation: 7 Spirit: 13 battle Lust: 15 Mana Cladding: 7 I wonder if I can attempt the boost spell yet? Will thought to himself as he read over his stats and tried to remember the incantation as he walked to the marked area in the gym and then cladded his entire body in mana. "zegenende wind" Will chanted he felt the air around him stir. Will went to take a step forward but ended up flying across the gym to faceplant into the wall. He landed on his back in a daze. I thought it was supposed to be a simple boost spell not a mad wizards attempt at flight magic. What did I do wrong? Is this one of Kyle's attempts at getting revenge? No, Kyle wouldn't put in that much effort so it has to be something else. What else could have caused it? Will began to go over the basics of the spell in his head and realized he did everything correctly. If it isn't the spell then does that mean there is something wrong with me? Will began to laugh at his stupid joke as he remembered what Shawn said at breakfast. Dad said that my mana is extremely potent so does that mean each of my spell's power will be on steroids? Is there any way for me to control this? Will gave up trying to answer questions that he doesn't have a clue of answering. He took a nap on the bleachers until it was time for his next class. Will awoke to the second bell ringing after dreaming of Verrad. He still hasn't returned the favor to Tim and Adder. He went to the cafeteria to have lunch. He drew a lot of stares as he was waiting in line, there was even a student who pulled both of Will's tails. Why did I have to become such a celebrity? Will thought mockingly. He grabbed his tray and returned to the gym to eat in peace and finished and dropped his tray off in the cafeteria just to return to a half-full gym. Well, I guess I'm not the only try hard. Will thought as he counted almost half his class already sitting in the bleachers. Will began to pace in the marked area as he thought of how to handle this class. I can't think of any prizes to give out today, ugh, maybe I can hold the tournament off until tomorrow. Hopefully, no one told them about the prize for today. Will thought as he walked to the center of the marked area. He then began to clad himself with mana and tried the boost spell again, this time with less mana. The entire gym was quiet. Every student that was in the gym stared at the bright lights surrounding Will. He appeared to be wrapped in a cloak made of a shattered rainbow. Everyone was in awe of Will. Will chanted "zegenende wind." This time instead of moving forward, he jumped straight up. This would be a great way of avoiding walls but he forgot about the roof that was thirty feet above him, he also forgot about gravity. As soon as he jumped Will felt adrenaline pumping throughout his body and felt as if there was nowhere he couldn't go, and then he heard a loud noise that one might find in a blacksmiths shop and everything went black. Will awoke to the taste of blood and found his vision blocked by gauze. UGH, What happened this time? Will thought to himself as he tried to sit up. He tore off the gauze and saw his parents, Kyle and Sara sitting in front of him staring at him as if he said he was vegan after eating five meat lover pizzas. "Umm, Why are you all looking at me like that?" Will asked wondering if he did something wrong. "Your skull was cracked in five separate places, how are you even awake?!?" The nurse said as she walked into the room. "It will take more than that to keep me down," Will said as he got out half a laugh before he was wrapped into a hug. "You idiot, don't scare me like that again!" Sara said as she buried her head into Wills' chest. Hugh, What is going on? What did I do to deserve this so that I can do it again? Why do the gods play with me so much? Will thought as he tried not to blush. "What time is it dad?" Will asked Shawn as he put an arm around Sara and pulled her closer. "It is eleven thirty" Shawn replied with a smile as he looked at Will and Sara. "Good job son, you really took after your father. He ruined our first date as well." Melany said with a smile with led to Shawn and Will hanging their heads. Sara, Melany, and Kyle all burst into laughter at the father and son display. "Sorry about today," Will said in a whisper barely loud enough for Sara to hear even though she was still hugging him. "You don't need to apologize but you do need to make it up to me," Sara said with a sinister grin. "What do I need to do?" Will said as he looked into Sara's eyes. "This Saturday, I get you all to myself," Sara said with a smile. "Okay," Will said as he looked to the floor. Will's and Sara's reversal of roles caused the people who were eavesdropping in the room to laugh. They then left Will to get some rest. Will awoke the next morning while still being in the academy nurse office. He checked the date and counted down to his first real date. It's Friday, I only have one day to get as much advice as possible. I just hope I didn't weird her out yesterday. Will thought as he walked to the gym to prepare for his first period.

Please read the content warnings (there may be spoilers within though) if you have triggers. Also there is a slight mention of LGBTQ+, so please don't read this short story if even a short mention bothers you. ======================= My first short story (It's short - 5 chapters, 10,000 word-ish kinda short! And also completed *self pats* that I will be releasing in mini chapters (of 500-800 words each) on Fridays and Saturdays.). Happy to hear actionable and constructive criticisms on how I can improve, but please don't be too harsh okay? :) I know it's not perfect. But hey, we all have to start somewhere.
