《The story of Willenstark Kraft》Chapter-2: Preparing (edited)

How can this be? What did I do to get luck as bad as this? What did my ancestors do for me to deserve this? Did they eat leprechauns and drink fairy blood on a daily basis? Why? Why? Why? Will constantly questioned as he fell on the bed and sobbed. Wait, the MME is used to determine mana manipulation, not mana. Anyone can increase their mana manipulation but they can't increase their actual mana. Will thought as he quit sobbing and raised up. So this means I just have a lower starting point than anyone else.
Will jumped off of his bed and ran towards his computer. What do I need to do to improve my manipulation? What do I need to search!! UGHHH! Will spent the next two days searching online for information on Mana Manipulation. To sum up what he learned was that the more you used mana, the higher that person's manipulation will increase. How do I increase my manipulation if I can't use mana!
"Knock, Knock" Shawn called as he knocked on the door. "Will there are plenty of opportunities for people with low MME ranks or no rank at all."
Will was still trying to come out with a plan for how to develop his Mana Manipulation so that he can cast spells and become a knight. " What can I do to develop an MME rank, dad." Shawn stopped and thought about all the options he had to help Will.
" I know a couple of methods to increase MME rank but the most effective way would be the training methods of senior magic knights." Will was in shock. " How...."
"Don't underestimate the free time of a scholar with too much free time." Will finally had hope. " But this training is the most intense training that the knight corps have ever used, so before I teach you the training theory behind what the senior magic knights used, I want to know why you want to be a knight so bad."

Will thought it over for a few seconds. " I want to carve a place to were I belong so that I can prove to everyone that even though I don't appear the same as other people, I can still do the same as anyone else. I also want to show others that your choice in adopting me wasn't a mistake."
Shawn was shocked. He looked at Will and noticed how depressed Will was. "Son, you don't have to prove anything to anyone. To your mother and I, you are the best thing that entered our lives. Even if you don't become a knight or if the entire world turns against you, you can always return home to us."
Will broke down into tears and nearly knocked Shawn to the floor as he hugged him. As Shawn tried to regain his balance he was nearly knocked to the floor as Melany, who had been listening outside the door the entire time, barged in and joined the group hug.
Shawn regained his senses and balance a moment later. "Will, the training that you will need to go through will be complete agony. I will also have to order a couple of things online before we can begin but once you start there will be no going back."
"No matter the training I will go through with it," Will responded without hesitating.
For the next six months before the academy annual exams, Will went through complete nirvana. In the mornings he would run ten miles before breakfast, then another ten miles after a long breakfast while using the things his father ordered. He then would train every area in his body using a torturous routine developed by the knight corps. By the end of the day, Will was so tired that he passed out as soon as he sat down on his bed.

" There are two months left until the academy exams," Shawn said with a smile as he looked at Will with pride.
"Do you think I can pass, dad," Will said as he struggled to stand, he just finished his routine.
"Of course, I will be disappointed in the academies if they don't allow someone who worked half as hard as you did, to get in," Shawn said with a laugh as Melany walked in.
" Get ready dinner will be done in half an hour," Melany said as she hurried back to the kitchen.

Aggravated Defense (Progression LitRPG)
A quick TL;DR pitch. LitRPG Apocalypse with group progression, a non-overpowered mc, a limited skill-slot System where having a single skill over your opponent could make a big difference. A barrier mage mc who isn’t an Edgelord A sentient System that’s a character in its own right. And no harem or cheat skills. ~<>~<>~ Steven knew the world had ended when a great green and purple dome covered the city of Anchorage. Then things got weirder. First earthquakes, then bolts fell from the sky, changing and twisting the things they hit. Steven, stuck in the throes of apathy, had sought shelter out of boredom more than anything else. But when some fellow survivors are separated and trapped by a rampaging moose, an emotion breaks through his apathy. He can’t turn away. Some people say it’s everyone for themselves at the end of the world. Steven disagreed ~<>~<>~ Will update every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00am, unless the chapter is beefy, then we'll just have one that week. For some more meta details about this story, it’s a LitRPG Apocalypse with a focus on abilities and how they are used over stats and numbers. It will have group progression, a non-overpowered protagonist, and a focus on unique and interesting classes. No overwhelming advantages for the main crew or broken cheat skills. No harem, some amount of gore, decent levels of profanity.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
