Over the years as Will grew up people began to notice that he was different. In his first day of kindergarten he fell and fractured his arm, the strange thing was he was able to tell the school nurse that it was fractured, that in itself would make him more "different" than other kids if they didn't include his "exotic" eye color, but he was able to successfully pinpoint were it was fractured. When he was taken to the clinic to be treated, they asked him how did he know where it was fractured and he pointed towards to the left and slightly raised his hand and said: "The screen showed me." The doctors at the clinic thought he had schizophrenia, so for a month after that incident Will was examined daily by a physiatrist. After the month was over they determined that he did not have schizophrenia and ended the exams.
On Will's first day of his first year of junior academy. Every child under the age of 16 is required to go to school from kindergarten up to sixth grade were they will then be examined by the managers of education, or MOE's for short, if they fail then they are required to completely restart school and retry again by starting at the kindergarten grade level. If they pass the exam then they start their first of two years at a junior academy school, at their second year they will be tested again. If they fail this exam they will be forced to restart to the first year of junior academy level, if they pass then they can pick an academy of their choice to learn at for the career of their choice. Will was riding the bus to the local junior academy, he was soaked in sweat and could barely catch his breath, he had to run every morning to catch the bus and the cloak that he wears to hide didn't make it easier. There was a group of bullies that sat in the back of the bus that referred to Will as "corpse eater", their leader was named Tim Jackson who was about 5 foot ten, he had ginger hair and had failed three times at the academy. His goal was to become a cadet at a military academy. That morning he splashed Will with cold water and said: " There, that should stop the rest of us from gagging at that corpse smell, haven't you learned to bathe yet corpse eater." Every time Tim or one of his group at junior academy would see Will they referred to him as corpse eater and slowly the name spread around to other students and they slowly referred to Will as corpse eater, they used it, especially after they learned why Will was called corpse eater.

It is Will's first day of his second year of junior academy. He is on the bus, soaked with sweat as usual.
" Why does the bus arrive so early." Will wheezed as he struggled to stand.
"Because you are to busy eating to get to the stop earlier, corpse eater," Tim replied as he laughed.
"If only I could eat your corpse then I wouldn't have to put up with this," Will said as he chuckled and moved to his seat. He normally avoided other people and kept to himself.
"Maybe I would will my carcass to you when I die if you take off that cloak," Tim said as he tried to see what Will looked like.
"I'll pass," Will replied flatly, his father thinks that Will took his anger control too much after his mother, he had to remove an aluminum bat out of Will's backpack on fifteen different occasions all in the first semester of Wills first year at junior academy. Will leaned back in his seat and napped until they arrived at the school, Will didn't sleep much because today would be the day the students took their last junior academy exam if they didn't fail. The exam would be over everything they learned in the past two years and they would take a Magicule Manipulation Exam or the MME. It would be the first MME that Will took, he would need to score at least a C rank to get into the Lunsford academy of magic for knights, Will's only goal was to become a magic knight, a soldier who defends his nation from threats. He woke up about ten minutes before he got to school and looked at the "status screen" as he called it, for the first time since kindergarten. To pull it up all he had to do was think about himself, something Will tries to avoid doing. This is the results:

"To view other stats, you must first have some knowledge of them."
"There are more options than there was last time," Will said quietly as he read over it then grabbed his backpack and got off the bus and entered the gym. Every student was supposed to gather in the gym as soon as they entered the school for the exams, the first years were then led to the cafeteria. The second years were then led to their testing rooms. The first part of the exam was easy as long as you had basic memorization skills. The second part of the exam, the MME, is what truly scared him.
"All right, time for the second part of the exam." The MOE' s called out, as they dragged a weird silver-like cube that they proceeded to plug it up directly into the monitors on the gym walls. The students were then called out alphabetically and tested for their MME Ranks, then they sat in the bleachers at the appropriate Rank levels were afterward they would go enroll to their preferred academy. Wills named was the third to last name called.
" Corpse... I meant Willenstark Kraft, Step up." Half of the students laughed when they heard the announcement. Will slowly stood up and walked to the cube. He was used to the staff picking on him, they could even be worse than the students.
"Place your hand on the cube." Will put his hands slowly on top of the cube and the monitors slowly changed to a new rank.
" NULL RANK " was a new rank displayed. The entire audience started talking.
" He has no rank." The instructor that plugged up the Cube said to himself in shock.
"How is this possible." " Wow, how unlucky can you get."" Here I thought he was already weird." Said a group of students that Will overheard.
The MOE's went quiet then they called every student except Will out into the cafeteria. The head MOE slammed his fist next to where Will was sitting and screamed at Will, " HOW DID YOU DO THIS. THE CUBE PICKS UP ANY MME RANK NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS." Will was at a loss of words. Not only do I have no chance to become a knight but they also think I cheated. The principal came in a minute after the MOE's outburst. He pointed at Will and said, " Grab your stuff, you have passed the exam's no matter if you have an MME rank so you are out of this junior academy, good luck finding a career." He then escorted Will out the main entrance to were Shawn and Melany were waiting.
" come on, we will think of something." They then went home to were Will spent the next two weeks binge eating ice cream and anything else he could think of that would lessen the disappointment of not getting an MME Rank. All Will wanted to do was make his parents proud and to earn a place in the world for himself.
