“I want you” entered the ears of everyone present.
“What do you want me to do princess Zelly” Vel ask in confident voice but on the inside he panicky.
“Huh” she replied not realizing she spoke out loud.
“The curse activated didn’t” the queen said causing the Kings cry a single tear.
“It appears so but why did it activate all the sudden” the King murmured back.
“Usually it only happens when one meets their fated person but that can’t be the case here right?” the queen asks confused.
“Let just go with it for now and let's see in few years if it truly activated” the King came to a quick decision.
“Very well but how are we going to keep an eye on him then” the queen asks.
“He young and strong enough to be put into the secret forces and we can give him a room in the castle” the king offered.
“Ok we can do that” the queen agreed to the plan.
“Boy what your name” the King asks the boy bringing his attention away from the princess.
“Vel Sir” Vel answered politely.
“I have an offer for you but it will only be vailed if you reach the finals” the King said.
“What is this offer” Vel asks confused why the King suddenly offers.
“You will work for me in the secret forces and live in the castle” The king said.
“Why would you want me when I live in the slums” Vel asks while confused.
“Because you look to have talent” the King said.
“Very well I work toward the offer but since my other matches are coming up may I leave” Vel said.
“You may go but don’t disappoint us” the King said signal a knight to walk him back.
“Zelly what do you think of him” the queen asks her daughter.

“He interesting and I’m drawing to him but also he holds tons of anger and hatred” Zelly said while she watched Vel leave.
-Waiting Area-
After Vel returned to the waiting area he sat in the corner and entered his training ground.
“Leigh what happened to me back there” Vel asks since Zelly words caused him to panic a little bit.
“If I had to say Magic” Leigh tapped his finger on the table.
“Magic what does that have to do with it” Vel asks confused since magic became forgotten practice thousands of years ago.
“Well the royal family has a curse on them that passes from generation to generation and it should only activate when they pass the age of fourteen but it seems to triggered early for some reason” Leigh said after some thinking.
“What does the curse do” Vel ask.
“Think of it as you gain loyal follower” Leigh said with a small grin.
“So the princess became my follower is it” Vel ask.
“Yes and No but that only small part of it and another part is that her life is connected to you” Leigh laughed looking at Vel confused face.
“Explain” Vel asks curiously.
“She will not be able to die since her life is connected to yours but hey you won’t become like Ben” Leigh smiled.
“Who Ben” Since Vel never met him.
“You will meet him sooner or later but its time for your next match” Leigh said kicking him out of the training ground.
“Contestant number 156 and 76 come onto the stage” the announcer shouted.
“Hey, kid where you weapon” his opponent asks bringing out huge greatsword.
“Here” Vel said bringing out his dagger.
Vel opponent this time looks to be a man in his late twenties but he looks giant since his muscle is thicker than the trees around the capital.

“Start” the announcer shout and the crowd roars with excitement.
Vel opponent takes big step forward and swings his greatsword causing a strong wind trail after it.
“Let see how many swings you can handle before you collapse” Vel thought as he dodges the greatsword causing his opponent to become angry since he can hit his target.
After about the thirtieth swing he could couldn’t continue stand causing him to collapse from exhalation.
“156 Win” the announcer yelled but hardly any clap or shouted as all Vel did was stay out attack range until he collapsed.
When Vel returned to the waiting area on of the contestant walked over to him.
“Why didn’t you attack” he wore confused face since there were plenty of openings to strike.
“Because I was working on my movement technique” Vel replied as he walked by.
Afterward, the matches to the finale were easy since most contestants were tired from fighting for three days and were unable to use Ki causing Vel to win in only a few moves.
“Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the final day of the contest and the finals” The announcer shouted as the crowd sat in their seats.
“Introducing everyone favorite and the handsome Kyle” the ladies scream as he walked onto the stage.
“His opponent the young and genius Vel” the men yelled since they were jealous of Kyle looks and strength.
“Kid you did well to arrive here but I’m taking the first” Kyle said taking his fighting stance which to Vel look to be swiss cheese from all the openings.
“Are you sure you have what it takes to be first” Vel said taking a stance he been creating.
-Zelly POV-
“Look father Vel in the finals” I said standing near the window with a smile.
“I can see that and it looks like he holds up his end” father says with a slight smile behind his beard.
“You two will be seeing each other a lot in the near future” mother says with a loving smile.
“Begin” I hear the announcer yell bring my attention back to the fight.

"Give me my puppy!" I demanded, my eyes ablazed with fiery anger."Correction, it's not your puppy. It's our puppy," He smiled, but it was anything but sweet nor happy."You know what? Damn you! You're nothing but a cold, emotionless, and heartless bad boy!" I sneered, glaring at him fiercely. He chuckled at my words, taking a step closer to me. He slammed his hand unto the wall, trapping me, before leaning in close. "You got that right sweetheart but I think you got one thing wrong." He said, his eyes piercing straight into mine."And what is that?" I managed to asked, my throat seeming to get drier the more he looked at me."I'm neither one of those when I'm with you," and with those words, slammed his lips into mine.#1 in Strong-Female Character - 1/29/21#1 in Sarcasm - 2/4/21#2 in BadBoy - 2/13/21#3 in Teen Fiction - 2/13/21#1 in Mysterious - 3/4/21Copyrighted 2017.
