Few days after Vel returned to the capital he hasn’t been accepting new missions but been training but today Leigh told him to rest for the day and enjoy the capital.

“What should I do today” Vel thought as he wanders through the streets and before long he arrived at the public library.

“Welcome do you know the rules little boy?” a middle-age woman asks from behind the counter.

“No can you explain the rules to me please” Vel said with a smile.

“Very well, rule one: the books are not able to leave, rule two: deposit of five silver is needed and will be returned when leaving, rule three: don’t disturb other” she said.

“Why do I have to pay five silvers?” Vel asks curiously.

“The five silver is for in case you damage any of the books and they will be returned when you leave” she said.

Vel smile at her and nods that he understands before entering heading towards back of the library. Vel stops at the history section and picked up a book called ‘History 101’ and found a table to sit at.

Few hours have passed since Vel began reading causing books to stack up around him. As Vel put down his book down to grab another one a girl about the same age of him appeared next to him.

“Why are you reading such books” she asks Vel who just pick up another book.

“Because it's interesting to me” Vel answered before he looked at her. When his eyes landed on her he was shocked as she had long blonde hair with two different colored eyes and gave him the impression she going to be beautiful when she grew up.

“Don’t you get tired of reading all these in last few hours” she pointed at all these books.

“Why does it concern you if I read all these and who are you anyways” Vel asks.

“My name is Liz and you looked interesting since you walked in” she said.

“You been watching me the entire time” Vel put up his guard as he never noticed her watching him.

“I’m not going to do anything to you” she said panicky when she saw he went on guard and had cold eyes.

“What do you want” Vel said in cold voice causing her to shiver with fear.

“I wanted to talk to you and see if you wanted to play a game” she said ready to run away at any time.

“Fine, what do you want to play” Vel who back to normal like he was entirely another person asks.

“How about we play ‘Hero vs evil’” She said.

“How do you play that” Vel said with interest since he never heard about it.

“The rules are simple one of us be the hero while the other is the villain and we fight until one of us loses. Oh, since we are battling let make a bet” she said.

“What kind of bet do you have in mind?” Vel asks since it could be interesting.

“Let see if I win you come live at my house but if you win I follow you for life” She said causing him to just stare at her for few seconds.

‘What with her, no wonder father and Jotol both told me women is a creature man will never understand’ Vel thought while he listens to her.

“Why do I have to live with you what about my parents” Vel asks her trying to change her side of the bet.

“Huh, with the clothes your wearing I thought you were an orphan” she said as if she knew all along.

“Then why would you or your parents want an orphan who lives in the slum to live with you” Vel not understanding her cries as there has to be a limit with her.

“It’s a secret” Liz smile when she answered which causes Vel more confusion.

“I agree with the bet so where are we fighting” Vel said as he stretches his muscle from sitting too long while thinking ‘I shouldn’t use Ki as I doubt she knows about it’.

“Follow me” Liz said as she led him up to the roof.

“this is” Vel asks seeing a man in robes standing off to the sides.

“He a doctor who an expert in healing” Liz said.

“Ready to begin anytime” Vel said with confidence.

“On the count to three…1…3” Liz skipped two and launched forward striking out.

‘She can use Ki, this just got a whole lot trickier” Vel thought as he dodges and did a sweeping kick causing her to step back.

“Who are you really” Vel asks since she not normal throwing out punches.

“If you win you will know” she said as she sends out few kicks causing Vel to turn red as she wearing a skirt.

Vel steps back and when she threw out her punch Vel steps forward and grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her back and forcing her unable to move.

“Does this count as my win” Vel asks.

“Yes, but you're still coming to my house” She said before Vel vision went blurry and he went unconscious.
