Rex Casino the biggest and popular place in town but also its HQ of the biggest gang ‘Blood Ravens’. Currently, a boy could be seen walking toward the door with a smile. After he walked in and found one of the workers.
“Is Rex in?” he asks with a smile.
“May I know who you are first?” She asked.
“My name is Sean and he said to come see him” the boy said and he is Vel.
“Right this way” She said leading him towards the back office.
“Sean, you came so soon” Rex said with little lust in his eyes when he spotted Vel.
“Of course, my parents sent me but had they had such a sad face when they did” Vel said with a confused face.
After Rex heard that he signals the worker to leave and bring drinks. He walked around his desk and leaned onto it.
“Tell me little about yourself” Rex asks he faces Vel.
“I’m currently eight and my father works as an architect and my mother stay home all day” Vel said since he came up with backstory ahead of time.
“That nice to hear since most children are out begging in the streets” Rex said as the drinks arrive.
“Here you go have” the worker said as she handed Vel his drink.
“Thanks” Vel said with a smile when he caught sadness in her eyes for a quick second.
‘So, there sleeping drugs in it’ Vel thought when he saw her leave.
“Drink up” Rex said drinking some of his.
Vel pretends to drink some of it and acts if he suddenly became tired.
“Yawn… I think its time for me to leave” Vel said as he pretends to stumble to the door.
“Huh, the door not opening” Vel said as he pretended to be confused why they would lock it.

“That because we’re going to have some fun” Rex said as he picks him up bringing him to the couch.
“Why are you taking off your clothes” Vel asks not understanding.
“They are only going to get in the way” as he started undressing Vel.
‘Well let end this here as I don’t want my first to be with a guy’ Vel thought as he stabs out with his knife when Rex was distracted.
The knife quickly entered Rex neck as he was completely caught off guard but he looked at Vel with a face that shouted ‘Why’ before he tumbled to the ground.
“This time it didn’t feel as bad like last time” Vel mumbled as he didn’t feel like he was going to lose his dinner but still turn pale.
“Where was his secret exit” Vel said looking around the office so he can escape and after few minutes he located it behind the bookshelf.
Few hours after Vel left one of the managers walked into the office since neither of them seen either of the two exiting. But what he saw was a pool of blood surrounding their leader with his pants down and a hole through his neck.
“Find that boy as the light church going to be coming in a week and since the boss is dead we need to find that boy” he orders since their leader was one of their priests of great importance in surrounding towns.
“Yes sir” his assistants said running to inform the gang to find the boy.
Back at the shop Vel walk in and saw that Jotol was forging a new sword.
“I’m back” Vel shouted over the hammering.
“Welcome back did you get your business done” Jotol asks as he cools down the blade he just finished.
“Yeah, what kind of blade is that?” Vel asks as it has weird form as it doesn’t look like a normal knife or long enough to be a short sword.

“It going to be surprised” Jotol said storing the blade in his room.
“Today, when you practice, use the eighty-pound hammer” Jotol said as he left to make Vel a snack for when he done with practices.
“Let hope I can get the hang of this technique then I can make it part of one of my killing technique later” Vel mumbled as he began swinging the hammer as he almost got the hang of it.
“449…450…451” Vel counted cover in sweat as he swings the hammer when he finally found what he was lacking to make the technique work as he felt a weird stream of energy flow through his body.
“Jotol what this weird energy I feel flowing through me” Vel asks as he continues and the energy started to refine into his body.
“It has many names but I call it universal energy or Ki and it comes from everything around you and your body absorbed it which’s strengthen it the more you train” Jotol said with a smile.
“So if you keep training at a certain point would you become immortal,” Vel asks.
“Its next to impossible as the immortals refused to teach outsider and slowly died off or shut themselves into indoor training” Jotol said.
“Then what the use for having now” Vel asks confused.
“Well it allows you to carry to heavy thing as if there light and improve your endurance but also allow you to do techniques that would otherwise be impossible”
“Then how come not everyone using it” Vel didn’t understand if it was so useful.
“That because most forgotten about it” Jotol said with a sigh.
“Well, it getting late” Vel said as the moon reaching the peak.
“Your right well night” Jotol said as he left for bed.
When Vel entered his bed he entered the training ground but a big surprise was waiting for him.

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her.
