" Life is similar to a marriage. you are bount to it in the good times and in bad, in sickness and in health."
- Alex the Sodomite
the dark empty hall made the pair of military boots resonate and the echo traveled down the galleries.
A door screeched as it was opened, Lusfer guessed that the door's hinges would not last a kick and the door frame had visible damage from the incident, bended and twisted as the door was kicked out from the inside the night before
"the priests heard the commotion around midnight. two of them tried to aid the Archbishop but both of them died."
said a man with fancy robes as he pointed two corpses laying on the floor, both throats cut, limbs twisted in an unnatural manner, similar to their face expressions of pure terror.
"as you can..."
"that is all i need. let me work"
Lusfer interrupted the bishop in a harsh manner. years of fighting the savages had made him not care for protocol or manners even though he is from a lower noble house.
"as you wish"
The fake smile of the bishop did not worked to mask his murder intent. after a short nod with the head he left the room.
Lusfer examined the room from the door frame, a large king size bed was in the middle, the golden headboard that was better than the one that his father had was covered in a splash of coagulated blood. he smelled the air, his nose picked up the smell of corpses and blood. since The Return of Almodan the Kingdom has very strict rules with the treatment of copses but this was an exception, just the fact that he was the one called in to investigate the "incident" was proof enough.

between all the blood, shit and cadaver smell he picked up something strange. and by strange he meant unknown.
an very particular scent of something he had never smelled before. his eyes opened slowly and he approached the bed.
the side on the left was covered in a pool of blood. Lusfer assumed that it was where the Archbishop died, the rest of him or what you could call such thing had dripped down from the side of the bed to the floor. on the other side there was also a trail, but instead of the dark reed of the coagulated blood it was a very thick liquid of obsidian black, it almost seemed to eat the light around it.
For the first time in years he hesitated, after a second he touched the liquid with his hand. it covered the tip of his fingers, he moved the thick goo with his thumb and brought his hand close to his nostrils trying to guess what could it be without succeeding.
"mother fucker"
he cursed as he cleaned his hand with the corner of the bed sheets. he had no clue and that pissed him off, real bad.
he looked around the room for clues, it was more or less torn upside down, dressers pushed over, the religious icons on the floor, big claw marks decorated the walls he touched one of the claw marks and it also had the unknown substance.
he looked under the bed, where the Archbishop was there was nothing, but his eagle eyes saw something on the other side. after a few seconds he found an ear ring.
"a woman" he stated after finding traces of a perfume on it " but why here?" he already knew the answer to that question.

Perfume, earnings, being in the opposite side of the bed with the Archbishop...
He looked at the two priests that where laying on the floor next to the bed. their bodies where mingled, he still examined them.
he found a bundle of rope, and a dagger.
now the picture started to make sense.
"so they kidnaped a female, brought her here, and then started to play with her... and then she turned in to something and killed them all." he sighted as he finished his last statement.
"gotta find her" Lusfer kneel down and with each deep breath he rocked back and forth, since he was a medicated lycanthrope he could change at will, but doing some meditation before turning always helped keep the head clear.
after a few minutes his body started to morph rapidly. his clothes almost ripped under the pressure of the muscles forming under the armor, his skin got covered in fur and in the blink of an eye an armored werewolf stood where Lusfer was.
"let the hunt begin" an almost impossible deep voice could be heard from inside the room. with his clawed hand he picked up the earring and smelled it, then the air. like magic, almost immediately a half smile rose on his canine like lips. He launched trough the window, even it being around 6 stories high he could make the landing without harm. only thing in his mind is to find the woman and question her

The Heart Grows
Dungeon games? Yeah, they're a good way to waste a few hours. The trick is to know the map and plan appropriately. Of course, it doesn't matter if you get beaten. You revise your plan for that map and do a bit better next time. Man, it'd really suck to wake up as a dungeon heart in a fantasy world you know nothing about, barely able to even work out how to control your dungeon. Lucky that wouldn't happen to anybody, huh? What with only having one chance at getting things right, you'd have to plan extra-defensive. This story should be getting chapters published weekly. I have a comfortable buffer set up and on top of the weekly writing I am committing, a commissioner has donated two monthly writing slots to ensure this remains on a weekly schedule. There will be a stat block at the beginning of every chapter bar the first, and a handy map at the end. All my works come with a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means you are free to download, publish, and even make derivative works of my writing so long as you include this license, attribution, and don't sell the works. Keep it free!

Through this he has a suspicious encounter with an uknown entity that results in what can only be described as a reincarnation to another world.
