Before the demon finishes his speech again, the man starts gunning the demon.

*Bang Bang Bang*

“You miss me…miss again..hahahhahaha”

“hehe”

“Why are you laughing..HAH!!”

*Boooommm*

A huge explosion causing the ground to shake for few seconds and an intense white circular light wraps around the demon.

“AAAAHHHHH….I…..will…..kill…..you…….mama….heelp!!!”

The demon is being suck by a strong energy force with intense white light, rotating for few rounds then he vanishes together with the light.

“Well those are not ordinary bullets in the first place, we are in modern world....demon asshole” *Spit*

Then the sky cracks and immediately splits into half.

“What the kwa?.....AAAHHH..AAHH..aahh…ah…alien?..…”

He is pulled towards the sky and vanishes.

I slowly open my eyes and scan the area around me.

“Haaa…..That dream again”

I slowly rise up, stretching my body and look around to find my tools and other things that are scattered around like tubes, foods, weapons, metals, woods and everything else. The place is my base of operations or in short, my house which is made purely of wood.

I am currently at southwest of the Great Phatag Plains and my base is located inside a huge tree. I am not kidding, I am literally inside the tree, and this is possible by magic and my knowledge of course.

This 500,000-year tree is called the Great Acacia Tree, one of the things that have the longest life span. The width of this tree is around 129 meters. Its height is around 150 meters. Quite a big tree. Don’t worry about the tree’s life because I modify it by using biological modification so I can have enough space to live and the tree will still remain intact and alive.

It’s been 14 months or one year when I woke up in this world and welcomed by a poop, a huge cake poop right beside my face. I’ll get that bastard sooner or later. And followed by that Grand Chimera and El Chupacabras incident where my left leg was blown into pieces. Because of that, I hold a little grudge, just a little, to those monsters and that’s why I need to get stronger to face future obstacles and difficulties.

There are a lot of things happened for the past 14 months, funny things, bone chilling experience, blood boiling experience, face cramping experience, ball smashing experience and many more. I think I overwork myself for the last few months. Since this is different world I can laze around and I think I just need to get back to sleep.

‘(Whiste), my hard work really paid off’.

My level is 4000, which I can say appropriate in this dangerous place. Many creatures reaching 10,000’s levels here and I don’t want to confront them at the moment.

Level here in this world refers to your overall experience, it’s like a measurement of your overall capabilities it includes combat, household chores, talent in painting, anything that related to your work, achievements or in other words it reflects you. It measures what you can do. For example, the damage of fireball of a level 10 mage is different from level 20 mage. Even though fireball is one of the basic spells but the damage is dependent on the user’s capability or level.

Level here is not the same in video games like killing mobs, gain EXP and you level up. Level reflects you. Because of that you cannot level grind here like in games to cheat or increase your level, instead you’ll get a ridiculous title that makes you regret for eternity.

The skills are divided into four categories, Beginner, Intermediate, Expert and Master. Skill mastery is so hard to level, it takes time and great effort. But that’s no problem to me since I have knowledge on how to easily improve my skill mastery.

Okay, let’s start reading.

Identify creatures and things like they are showing their status to you.

-Highlight [master level]

Like [Identify] but on more specific side. Anything or anyone will be highlighted or

colored according to their intention, value, interest and events.

Yellow – interesting or high value like treasures or maybe future interesting events

Red – Royalty

Blue – Aristocrat or High official or position

Black – Harmful

I remember that my [Identify] skill is already in master level for the first time when I unlock it. That is due to my knowledge powers, Earth and Infanadah. Appraisal skill is directly affected of one’s knowledge. The more you know, the faster you level it up. But at this time, I am the only mortal who has the [World Knowledge]. I can ID anything in this world. I am like Ad*n Pearce profiling people. Damn, I enjoy that game called W*tchdogs.

Next is [Highlight], I am so fascinated in this skill because the first time I used it, the color of the highlighted things will sparkle like stars seen in the clear night sky especially the interesting ones colored in yellow. The highlighting doesn’t obscure my field of view. It is like De*s Ex: Human Rev*lution where things that can be move or interact is being highlighted. I love that game also.

The ostrich before, is my first yellow highlight. First I have doubt why this creature is interesting, is it because I am hungry? I walk closely then an unexpected thing happens. The ostrich started to walk closer and stops before me then it faced its butt towards me.

‘This scene again!!, I’ll kill you!’ I thought.

But before I react, a huge egg started to come out from its anus then after few seconds, the egg dropped on the ground wrapped with some sticky white fluid and the ostrich ran away.

(Note: The ostrich at that time didn’t know he was there because of [Blend Presence]).

“What the hell?, Interesting…. now I have my precious food…..hahaha truly interesting”

“Now how to cook this?, Boiled?, Scrambled?”

I rubbed my two hands while thinking how to cook the egg. Then I started to cook it boiled because I have no kitchen tools at that time and I’m so hungry. I just increased the egg’s temperature and started to break the egg shell. The delicious aroma enters my nose from the small crack, then my fingers quickly tearing the shell with my drooling face and started to chomp it down. After a few seconds, only the egg shell remains. The giant egg before was easily devoured by me. No, that’s wrong that was just because I am hungry. I can’t help it because the egg was so delicious.

“Well that’s an interesting event.”

Next I focus on Body Alteration Skill. I thought this while walking on the plain searching a good place to stay together with my full stomach. This was one of my self-made skills. It mainly focuses on my body’s modification for improvements and defenses. I am also able to modify other creatures’ body too. I really need this skill to adapt to this world’s harsh environment. I don’t know if I am infected with some sort of virus or bacteria from incident before.

(He means the Grand Chimera’s incident where his leg loss in action. He suffered huge wound (his missing leg) there is a high chance that he was infected) .

Your cells are evolved and its activities are now greatly improved. Your bones are now denser and harder, improved muscles, regeneration of wounds will be done in few seconds and restoration of loss organ or limb is now possible.

Your brain’s performance and functions improved greatly. Multi-tasking is now easy, no more stress from information overload, processing speed is accurately faster and better, and prevent any brain-related diseases and threats.

-Adrenaline Control [active] [master level]

Controlling your adrenaline’s rush is now possible, resulting in greater strength and performance. Due to your current body, there is no usage limit.

-Neuro-control [active] [master level]

You can control your target’s neurons including you. The targets aside from you, can’t deny the neurons command as it directly sends instructions to the brain to perform a task.

The [Adaptable Immune system] is like programming and evolving the cells related in my Immune system to combat viruses or germs because I don’t want to be infected and die here. I hate being sick in this place where no nurses around or available. I only get sick if there’s a hot nurse around. He..He..he. ..*cough* let’s go back to the topic.

Thanks to this, I evaded deadly infections which were common in this area. The famous of these were ZomCor virus from dead creatures and moeba-10 bacteria from poisonous creatures. There effects were like Corona, SARS or bird flu back in Earth, but more deadly which takes the victim only 1 week to live.

It seems outsiders of this plain will be dead within a week. And that’s the reason why no civilization ever touches this wild plain. And mostly monsters in this area have an abnormally strong immune system. There’s also Haponizo, a virus that attacks the brain, which makes the victim become a special child. Your maturity will lessen from time to time and sometimes can cause anemia and eventually you will act like a new born baby or no more sense of maturity. And many to mention infections that are either deadly or make yourself regret for life.

[Advanced cellular structure] makes my body tougher and more resilient. I programmed all my cells to evolve to improve my cellular activities. For example, when I get wounded, the wound will close in few seconds depending on its scale, big or small wound. My body became well-toned, denser and has higher stamina. Not a chubby anymore. I became a super healthy male.

I had harder biceps and shoulders, my senses were also heightened to the next level. I could exercise and did stressful things and actions for days. I could see better at night, my hearing could hear sounds further and my sense of smell was like a dog where I could identify a specific odor, beyond normal human’s nose.

‘So this is what Goku feels in Super Saiyan..maybe I will add some lighting effects and dye my hair yellow..hehe’ My thoughts are running wild again.

And since I had experienced thousand battles, my body formed like veteran warrior because my one and only ab before become six pack ABS now. That perfect abs can be seen only in body-builders. I am so happy of my six pack abs now but somehow I feel lonely to my one ab.

“I miss my fats..maybe I’ll add some and make it like mana reserve there…hmmmm”.

Let’s leave this matter later.

[Augmented Brain] it improves my brain functions together with brain cells’ improvements. I modify my brain because whenever I try to recall this world’s or Earth’s knowledge, I always had severe headaches because of information overload and my normal brain’s capability cannot handle it. I can’t sleep properly and always loss my focus on my current task at hand.

I felt relieved and refresh after I learned this skill. It is like I feel enlighten and more intelligent. I can do multi-tasking like solving multiple problems and its surprisingly accurate and fast. My brain is like a supercomputer powered by super processor.

If I have known this skill back in Earth, I will join the game show called “Who wants to be a millionaire?” and I am 100% sure I can answer all those questions and become a millionaire.

‘hahahaha….what a wishful thinking’

This last two, [Adrenaline control] and [Neuro-control] are my favorites because it’s safe, 100% effective and fun.

When I used [Adrenaline control] for the first time, my body lightens and my strength had been improved by tenfold or more. It greatly increased my speed and reflexes because of that. My senses were heightened and my sense of time became slow that I can easily dodge lightning fast attacks perfectly and in less effort. It looks like the things around me moves in slow motion.

I remember when I have a speed contest with a fast moving herbivore cheetah-like creature called Chito. At first I try to scare it to run away and I’ll try to overcome him. But the Chito tries to attack me instead. My plan failed but I think it’s a good sign to test my speed. I ran away and the Chito chased me. The beast easily lessens the gap of 100 meters between us in three seconds. I was shocked at first and activated [Adrenaline control], my world moves in slow motion and I can see the Chito’s shocked face moved slowly and turn into disappointed one. Without too much thinking I ran full speed until I didn’t see him anymore.

First, I thought the beast is slow but soon I realized that my speed was just abnormally fast.

“Maybe I’ll join the Justice Le*gue ” wild thoughts again

[Neuro-control] just the name says, I can control neurons. At first my purpose of this skill is to have some fun experiment like leaving the neurons some instructions to follow. But I am surprise that it completed the task successfully.

Then I thought what if I use this skill to others. I activated my [Blend Presense] and went to the plains to experiment. The first subject was an ostrich; I tried to command its neurons to flap its wings while walking and the ostrich started to perform my instructions with shocked face. I laugh for a while then proceed to others. I make certain beasts to perform some ridiculous actions like standing in one leg for 30 seconds, rolling, crawling, yawning, make ugly faces, jumping, and turn around. All of them were shocked as to why they performed those silly actions. It’s like they lose control of their body.

Then I realized that this magic of mine is similar to mind magic. Mind magic is a very taxing process because it forces to control the mind which is the most complicated organ. The success rate is dependent to target’s will and the caster’s level, the stronger the target’s will, the stronger you need mana and more time. And the victim is at risk of brain damage if successfully done. The chance of brain damage is high so it’s not safe.

My [Neuro-control] only controls the neurons which is just a simple cell. The brain will always acknowledged the neurons so it only cost little mana and higher success rate. No risk of brain damage because it’s not forced control. It only gives instructions to the brain. For example, if I use this skill to a strong willed criminal, and command the neuron to answer by moving his mouth and tongue honestly. The criminal will answer my questions honestly while he’s dumbfounded as to why his mouth moves without his consent.

“What a handy and sly skill”

I choose to improve my body instead of relying in buff magics because I am aware of no-mana zones. It is where mana is completely blocked from coming out of the surface, they are called 'wamahika' zones or ruins. Usually people refer it to the 'cursed places', because mages and warriors were easily dealt by the unusual strength and agility of monsters living in that area and lack of mana or they cannot recover their mana. Fortunately these monsters can’t leave that area because their bodies will rot, burn and sometimes explode when exposed to mana-rich environment.

I entered these places before to test my physical strength. I always ended up injured and sometimes fell into life and death situations especially when I faced those Black Trolls. But that’s the result of my lack of experience. I challenged those places every day, the more I acquire experience, the better. And as a result I can easily adjust to critical situations. Now I can leave that place covered in blood, blood from those monsters, and zero injuries on my part.
