~Part 2

Magic-Science skill uses scientific laws to produce magic which interferes the natural phenomenon resulting in efficient mana cost. With this I can easily make burn, freeze, lightning, float, regrow or any magic though science with low mana consumption. This skill has so many potentials. I cannot count how many magic I can make with this skill but for now I just focus on these ones.

Air Dash [master level]

Use the air to dash. They will see you like a bird flying in high speeds, but in reality you are just running on air.

Air Sense [master level]

Use the air to survey your surroundings. The air will act as your secondary sight. Mapping and visual through air is possible.

Air Medium [master level]

Use the air as your mana medium to travel and invoke your skills. Skill activation may have short delay time depending on the target’s distance.

Ultra Sonar [master level]

Uses sound to survey your surroundings. The same with echo locator found in bats or dolphins. Mapping and 3D imaging is possible.

I think I have strong attachment to air because I came up with three air related skills. I like air because it’s free, I mean the air particles are arranged loosely and travels freely as long as there’s a hole in the wall.

[Air Dash] makes travel faster and better as I dash through the air, ignoring the rocks or any land obstacles. Even though it’s different with Fly Magic, I think this one has better control when it comes to high speed maneuverability. I can travel as fast as speed of light when combined with [Adrenaline-control].

At first I want to learn [Fly Magic] but I disregard it afterwards because of several disadvantages like poor air control unless you are a bird, high mana consumption, and not good for stealth operations as it leaks your presence and mana.

I sit on the branch of the tree watching the plains. As I watch a huge snake chasing a poor chicken an idea came up in my mind.

‘Aha..that’s it’.

I refer the snake movements as fly magic where you swim or lie in the air while the chicken’s movements is a modified Fly magic where it runs in the air. The two-legged creature has more movement control. A new idea formed inside my brain.

I try to run in the air by making or modifying the air molecules and applying some magic and science tricks. The result is [Air Walk]. I try to test it by running on the plains but the result is not satisfying because the speed is only a slight faster than running on the ground. I know the huge factor that affects this and that is the air resistance. In the old world, air resistance affects vehicle’s speed that’s why airplanes and jet planes’ fronts are designed to be pointed to reduce air resistance like the beak of the birds.

I modify the [Air Walk] by removing the air resistance and modify the air at my back to push me to increase my speed. With that, [Air Dash] was born. I can run fast in lightning speed and I have more control in running or dashing on the air. If I combine it with [Blend Presence], the combo is too good for stealth operations. I can move on top of my opponent and assassinate him easily. With this new invented skill I’m excited.

“I can’t wait to use this to infiltrate a fortress, but I have no reason to do so and I’m happy with my current lifestyle. And those idiots still continue their stupid wars....Hah medieval times….”

Little he knew, he will be involved on those stupid wars and that’s for another chapter.

[Air Sense] acts like a long range radar in an air sense. I can locate things and creatures far from my position through air. My other skills like appraisal skills can be use while using [Air Sense] and [Air Medium]. Because of many advantages that this skill provides I make this skill my primary recon skill. I programmed my brain to handle the recon information properly which changes every second and inform me if it find some interesting things or events.

Thanks to this, I watched some interesting beast fights. Found some places with guaranteed treasure prizes and some nasty scenes like gore scenes that can’t be describe properly and some animal love-making scenes. But the worst of all since I forgot to filter this kind of scene, I remember every animal or beasts that poop for every second.

Imagine every poop per second and you remember all the details: its color, texture, if it’s solid or liquid. AHH! I don’t want to mention any of it. I can only sigh as this is the result of my carelessness.

I can’t properly eat my food because of that. I feel like to puke any moment now or vomit together with my intestines. This skill is a double edge sword so I programmed again my brain to passively ignore this kind of scene and force delete all those grossly poop scenes especially the first poop scene.

“Man, I think I have a trauma whenever I see a poop scene.”

[Air medium] it acts as my mana medium to connect or travel my magic through air. All of my skills can be set and activated remotely which is nice and convenient. Imagine a fireball coming out at the back of my opponent instead from the front. I tested it by sending my magic to different scenarios and subjects and the results are very satisfactory. There’s a slight lag but it’s under in acceptance level as the target(s) are very far away so I don’t complain about it.

[Ultra Sonar] is the same with Air sense but it uses only sound. My skill is similar to shark’s electronic location or bat’s echo location but with 3D images. I make a sound by stomping my foot or any actions that produce sound which produced by my body. The vibration travels around as it collects any sounds or vibrations of creatures and things. Then the vibration returns back together with the collected data and the data will be processed by my brain to make 3D images. Even though it’s inferior compared to my [Air Sense], I make this as my secondary recon skill. This skill is slower and smaller range than [Air Sense] but it’s better to have another means of reconnaissance. By the way, only I knew the sound or vibration by tuning its frequency for stealth purposes.

“ So this how the shark find its prey…..Heeh…I am like a shark walking on land”

Now towards the all-around type of magic: defense, offense and sometimes for distraction and fun.

Chemical Magic [master level]

Use chemistry concepts to produce magic like altering the elements or the atom itself. It includes atomic and molecular change, which produces a chemical reaction.

Force Magic [master level]

Use Physics concepts to produce magic. It affects the physical phenomena or basic forces of nature.

[Chemical Magic] use the concepts found in chemistry to produce chemical reactions. For example, I combine the hydrogen gas and oxygen elements to make water(H20). I can cancel a flame magic by removing oxygen in it. I can make acid, freeze water, lightning, faster decomposition and many more in an instant with no chanting and consumes less mana. In other words, I can start chemical reactions.

There’s also ‘Supercritical fluids’ concept. It makes the element pressure reaches its critical point where new chemical reaction takes effect. For example, when the element carbon dioxide (CO2) reaches higher pressures it can kill bacteria that acts like a refrigerant meaning it cools the surroundings. It can be use as alternative energy and many more. For water, H20 when reaching in higher pressures it can cleanse dirty water and gases like oxidize hazardous waste which can be a source of alternative energy and many more.

Normally I usually use this skill inside my house but sometimes I use it in combat for diversion.

Before, I tried to drop the area’s temperature to 10 degrees Celsius. After few moments, my [Air Sense] detects almost all the creatures of Great Phatag tremble in cold, some suddenly fell as they have hard time breathing and others panic and run away everywhere. I decided to cancel my magic as I feel pity on them. No need to kill them as it hinders some of my plans and it destroys the ecosystem of the area. I will surely cause large irreparable destruction that makes all environmentalists back on Earth hate me.

“Speaking of environmentalists, they protest to the government to protect our mother nature but they are the first ones destroying it by burning plastic, using appliances like..aircon, refrigerator and cars for travel. People like that are good in talking but less in action.

Haaah…people never change”.

[Force Magic] uses Physics to alter the physical phenomena or the basic force, the push or the pull. I can push or pull objects the same way with [telekinesis] and can make things light or heavy like a [gravity magic]. Unlike with [telekinesis] or[ gravity magic], [Force magic] has no weight limit as it focuses more in the forces rather than the mass of the target objects. Telekinesis can control things but the travel speed of controlled objects is dependent to its mass and gravity. Of course, the bigger the object the slower it moves. Gravity magic can make things lighter and heavier but due to mass again, it needs more than one mage to lift a castle. ‘what I’m thinking?’

I tested this skill to a herd of rhinopigs weighing thousand pounds, one of the heaviest creatures in this plain. I activate [Force Magic] and I easily move them from there to here with ease like there's no mass or gravity affecting them and all of them are in panic shouting or screaming.

*Mooooo………Moooooo*

‘What’s this?.....Cows?!’

I deactivated my magic as to not attract predators and trouble. At that time, I thought they will scream Oink, oink but I was shocked by their Moooo…Mooo. Haah, I learned another valuable lesson at that time since this is medieval fantasy world. Earth's common sense is almost not applicable and compatible here.

“Expect the unexpected”

Now for the Merciless, End of the world and sometimes, end of the universe type of attacks.

Rad-Ex [master level]

Expose target(s) to deadly radiation that can cause mutation, cancers or instant death depending on the amount received.

Radbomb [master level]

Dangerous type of explosives that kills enemies instantly in wide area and release a deadly radiation as it’s after effect. Can be remote triggered.

Shadow Supernova [master level]

A stellar explosion that briefly outshines an entire galaxy depending on its scale, radiating as much energy as any ordinary star is expected to emit over its entire life span, before fading from view over weeks or months. The damage is so catastrophic leading to irreparable and irreversible result. Please think before you activate this one.

These three skills surely destroy the environment or this world to nothingness and the entire environmentalist will surely complain about it. But don’ worry, I’ll only use these skills to a minimal scale so that only my targeted enemies will be harm and that’s why I work hard to reach them to master level.

These skills are tested by hundred times over thousands of beasts. Only pieces of meat remain after I use the [Radbomb].

For [Rad-Ex] it causes the exposed targets to start mutating into an ugly creature and some will start to rot and they’ll die afterwards.

The most destructive of all is the [Shadow Supernova] as it leaves behind nothing. I use it on large packs like the grey wolves consisting of over 300. With a single blast of this skill, all of them reduce to nothingness.

Then I recall those high leveled creatures, a level 1020 and level 1770 young dragons flying around and playing with poor low level beasts. The average level of those beasts is level 300 and a total of 500 of them. They are called the ‘HorseMouse’. They have a body of a mouse with a horse legs.

‘what a weird creature but they are cute.’

Those poor things were easily slaughtered and toss around like dolls by the dragons and after few minutes the poor victims lie on the ground burned or turned into minced meat. This is the common nature here. The strong can do anything to the weak.

Let’s see if dragons have social skills since they are intelligent beings. I walk over them to confirm it.

“Hello there young ladies..wanna have some fun?”

The dragons were surprised by my sudden appearance after I deactivate my [Blend Presence] skill. After that, do you know what their replies are?

“ROOAARR!!

“ROOAARR!!

The ground shakes because of the sound vibrations.

“Meow?” I replied them with cute meow. I’ll admit it’s not cute.

Man, these dragons are so intense and hot headed and to top of it they are still young. Imagine the horror of full grown adults' roar. Adult dragons have at least three zeroes in their level numbers.

(Level 1,000,000?, nope its xx,000)

Then they started their usual typical fire breathing attack and my level at that time is 900. They combined their flames making it like a blazing inferno in tornado mode. Normally, I’ll be roasted here but the next moment surprise them.

Their blazing inferno combine attack vanishes before it reaches me. No damage in my body and in my surroundings. Their attack is like when the bubble pops up that instantly vanish in the air. But still, I feel their hot intense replies. Luckily, there is no huge level gap between us and if it did, I will be roasted human Joe.

I just activate [Chemical Magic] by removing the element oxygen and their combined attack quickly disappear on the spot.

“What’s next? tail swipe? Body hit? or roar again?”

And they replied it with

“RROOAARRR!!!!”

“RROOAARRR!!!!”

“Shut up!!!”

I dropped radbombs in their tails which is near in their asses. And their roars are louder than ever.

*Boom*

“RRRROOOOOAAAAAARRR!!!!”

*Boom*

“RRRROOOOOAAAAAARRR!!!!”

They make a huge ugly cramp faces in front of me with tears in their eyes. They can’t believe that they were easily harmed.

Then suddenly, a magic circle formed above us and the young dragons ugly faces change to happy ones. It seems they are grateful of that magic circle.

It’s because a large dark red dragon descends from the sky flapping its big wings making strong and violent winds. It made the trees sway hardly that in any moment now those trees will be uproot from the ground.

“How dare you harm my sisters!!!”

The dark red dragon use [Heal] towards those two injured dragons. Then I [Identify] her, its level is 3,300 and named [Ragoniad].

“They started it, I just finish it” I replied.

This is not good. Our level gap is too high. My offensive magic is still at beginner level and it means I’ll be dead within seconds.

I smell trouble. It’s time for my great escape.

I use flash bomb from [Chemical Magic] to blind them for a moment then cast [Shadow Supernova]. Then I made myself turn towards my back like ‘About Face’ in my Boy Scout years. Then I start to run and activated [Blend Presence], [Air Dash] and [Adrenaline Control] to escape quickly.

A very loud explosive sound, shaking the earth and a bright blinding light occurred from my spot before. That is the effect of my [Shadow Supernova]. Currently I am 1 km west from the crime scene after my great escape. The bright light started to become red and then it fades away. I use [Air Sense] and find Ragoniad opens her mouth and use a skill [Steal Stack] to absorb and steal my attack. That skill steals enemies’ attack and adds or stacks it to her attack list. It’s different from [Copy Attack] magics.

To better understand how it works, let’s imagine my attack is like a ball. I throw the ball towards her then she catches it. She will decide if she throws it towards me or keeps it for future use. It’s like stealing a bullet from a fired gun and put it in her gun magazine to use it for future battles. That’s how her skill works. What an annoying skill. Then I heard a disappointing roar.

“Well, better get going.”

Next are my crafting enhancement skill and a skill that causes disturbance to all mages.

Nanotech [master level]

A crafting skill that uses nanotechnology to further improve things by atomic level making ordinary equipment to something close to legendary level.

Spell Disruptor [master level]

Making the process flow of spells fall into disarray. Affected spells will cause serious side effects or even death.

My current attire and equipment is crafted by using nanotechnology. I can make molecular enhancements making them more durable, sharper and higher resistance compared to traditional style of making weapons and armor.

[Spell Disruptor] skill is a very useful skill against creatures that relies mostly to magic. I tested this to magic wyverns that use annoying magic like [Air shield] that disrupts, deflects or redirects physical attacks. [Freeze] and/or [Flames] as main attacks. Lastly, the most annoying one, [Reflect damage] skill that reflects almost 90% of your damage, the higher your damage you give, the higher you receive.

I activate [Spell Disruptor] and starts throwing rocks at the flying wyvern. The magical wyvern is shocked as his natural defense skill [Reflect Damage] doesn’t work. It started to roar, then it use flame attacks but I activated once again my skill and the flame vanishes in thin air, the creature shock again. It changes its attack to freeze but its body started to get frozen instead of me. So this is one of serious side effects of my skill towards targets.

I left the frozen magical wyvern and started using my skill to almost creatures I encountered while walking towards home. All of them have face cramp faces as their skills won’t work properly, some injured because of self-destruction side effect, some just emit blood lust and others run in panic.

“He he he..I can’t wait to test this to all mages in the world…HAa..Ha..Ha..*cough* *cough*..wa..t..e..r”

That day, I learned a lesson to never try to do an evil laugh as it makes your throat dry and painful. I wonder how those evil bosses found in movies and TVs can laugh like that. Maybe it does something on how bad you are.

Next is for defense and chaos-making skills.

Absolute Defense [master level]

Product of magic and science that protects the target(s) from harmful attacks. Can be placed in the field or around the body.

Pheromone Mayhem [master level]

Alter the pheromones of the target(s), causing them to change their behavior.

These two are used for defense and distraction.

The [Absolute Defense] can handle any atomic bomb and high amounts of radiation. I try to shield a rock from my [Radbombs]. Huge explosions can be heard and the flat ground becomes a big crater. The result is the lone rock receives no damage and no scratches as it like the destructive attacks earlier never happens. I am satisfied and a mental note to make my radbombs smaller because of its destructive nature. I start cleaning the hazard waste of the radbombs.

Next is exposing myself to hungry predators like Bear Jaguar, Mammoth monkey, Spell Vipers, or any predators that I encounter while I activate this skill. All of them cannot harm me, charge, punch, kick, whip or any physical attacks. The result is I am unscathed not even scratches found in my body. Then I try to enrage them especially the big ones.

“Come on!!!, Come to papa!!”

The predators started to use powerful physical and magical attacks. All of them don’t damage or affect me. What a skill befitting of its name, [Absolute Defense]. They started to walk away as they realize their attack is useless against me no matter how hard they try.

“How boring”

[Pheromone Mayhem] is use to change the behavior of target(s), either I invoke them with lust or berserk or make them sad. This skill is a mood changer that affects the target’s body hormones. I already tested this to a pack of hyena like beasts and all of them started to fight over the female. After few hours, only five remain alive and heavily wounded. Well, I tested this to others and I can only say that this skill is good for groups of enemies. This skill is good for distraction or crowd control.

Next are the spy/stealth skills.

Blend Presence [master level]

By blending to the environment you’ve learned a unique stealth skill. All creatures and things will not detect you.

DNA Disguise [master level]

Copy others image in DNA level together with their behavior. Limit is dependent on your mass.

These two spy/stealth skills are very helpful during my covert operations.

To test my [Blend Presence], I choose the area of highly sensitive dog creatures as my test site. I activate the skill then run towards the center of the crowd. I started waving my hands like a star, pop dance like MJ (may your soul rest in peace), and many silly things while I am surrounded by sensitive dogs. All of them didn’t see or feel me even they have very sensitive ears and nose.

‘What a nice skill it makes me like a ghost…..Okay next number is Billie Jean…ahhhww’

Next is [DNA Disguise,] its more advance than illusion magic or any copy image/form magics as the level of copy is in cellular or DNA level. With this, I can bypass security related magic with ease. Fingerprint or eye scan is no more problem for me to bypass either physical or magic security.

“Can’t wait to unlock a magic vault.”

I use [DNA Disguise] as a turtle rabbit and make my way to the crowds of turtle rabbits. These rabbits have hard shell at their back that act as armor. Their movements are still fast and agile even though they have armor. Females are bigger than maIes.

I just observing them and they greeted me by sniffing around. I try to sniff them but they are just smell like grass. I join them in their hunting, playing around and observing them eating carrot like plants. A female rabbit approach me. My [Highlight] colored her yellow, it means some interesting things will happen but I have a bad feeling about this.

I started running away from the group. She tilts her head dumbfounded because of my actions and starts chasing me. I activate [Blend Presence] to escape from her immediately. I run as fast as I can by [Air Dash] and transform into my human form in front of my home.

I use [Air sense] only to find her standing in the spot where I suddenly vanish. I feel relief that I escape early as I remember that this time is their mating season. I’m glad I escape from another trauma. As a gentleman, I feel bad for her. But I am a human, I cannot do the rabbit's ritual of union.

“That’s a heart throbbing event. I might get a heart attack if I choose to stay..Whew”
