You stare at the screens. You read them.
It has been some time since you read them, you think.
How strange.
Answer the call, Oh Loyal Servant.
Your right, you should probably go see The Master. You have yet you meet them.
We are so hungry.
Your right, you are rather hungry. But where could you get some food?
Mind Thief Racial Perk “Detect Sentience” Activated.
Within a 300ft distance, you can detect the distance and location of a creature of sufficient intelligence.
You hear whispers. Words, not spoken, but present. You can’t see them, but you hear them. They’re behind you.
A small man is on the floor. A gnome. He seems to have been hurt since he has quite a bit of blood leaking from his eyes and ears. He’s still alive, you think. Otherwise, you wouldn’t hear the whispers.
Looking a little bit longer at him, your hunger grows.
Really now? You’re a cannibal? You don’t remember ever eating a person.
His mind. His mind would be delicious.
Well, you are quite hungry.
...
Answer the call, Oh Loyal Servant.
Your right, you have more important things to do rather than just feeding yourself. And honestly, you don’t think you're ready to eat people quite yet. Even if you’re really hungry.
Looking around, you can see you are in a brick room, filled with blown-out candles and some strange drawing on the ground. Other than the unconscious gnome, the only other notable thing you see is a cage and a bag in the middle of the room.
You don’t like either of them. You want to break the cage especially.
You see a hallway connected to the room. Seemingly the only way out. Before you leave though, you look down at the gnome. You wonder if you should leave him here, unconscious and defenseless.

The thought is met with distaste and hatred. You don’t like this gnome. You could even say you hate him. Enough that you don’t even want to try eating him anymore.
Walking down the hallway, you immediately arrive in an odd room. It has a lot of beakers and pickled things in jars, along with a bunch of weird metal objects. You are confused as you look at more of the room. Because it all seems somehow familiar.
You feel vague memories press upon your mind. Metal. Explosion. Magic. Other things you can't describe. Were you a Mage once? Maybe a Smith or Herbalist of some kind? You know you got into fights more often than not. It's so hard to remember.
It doesn’t help your hunger turning into a rage as you look upon this room. You want to break it. Destroy it. Utterly ruin everything you can see.
Answer the call, Oh Loyal Servant.
And you will. After you go see The Master. You can think for yourself more when you find them. Maybe ask her why you feel the way you do. Full of hunger, random thoughts, and a lack of obedience.
But how will you do that exactly?
Master Locator Activated.
A blue ethereal line fades into existence. It leads to a door you had failed to notice at first.
Ah. Convenient.
Sticking your head out the door, you check to make sure no one is around to see you. You’re a skeleton now, a variant you’ve never heard of in fact, so you don’t want anyone freaking out. You’re not out to hurt anyone, but they don’t know that. You are just here to look for your Master.
Now, if your Master wanted you to hurt them, that’s another thing entirely. Can't know until I meet them though.
And with that thought, you close the door behind you carefully and follow the blue line. Careful in every step to not impede your one goal. To meet The Master and do whatever you were revived to do in this world.
...
Maybe they’ll let you eat someone’s brain if you ask nicely?
Answer the call, Oh Loyal Servant.
A question for later.
