《Kobold Expansion》Feisty Snakewomen

The past few days feel like a blur. So many things happened. First, I got my earthbending to major from fixing the mountain side. I wrote the constitution, each law has a reason.
Don’t kill each other, do not fight.
Without the iron claw of the dragon holding them back there have been many pointless scrabbles over stupid kobold shit like who owns what shiny rock.
2.Do not steal.
The shiny rocks again, they cause the kobolds to go to extremes. I had to hide the dragon’s hoard underground. I want that gold, but I don’t want to watch it constantly like the green dragon did. These kobolds will steal anything that they can, as long as it’s shiny. I can’t blame them, it seems to be hard coded into their brains.
3. Kobolds must attend Common classes until they test out of it.
I don’t mean to shit on them, but some of them can barely speak. I’m no master of the english language. I use profanities to mask gaps in my vocabulary, but these guys can’t even do that. Plus draconic, the language of kobolds has such a hard to understand structure. It’s not noun-adjective-verb like in English. It’s closer to Toki Poni where there are only two hundred words and you combine them to get to your exact meaning.
4.All kobolds will receive one gold coin per month as long as they work and don’t break any rules. Kobolds with specialized jobs will receive two gold.
This is how I keep them in control. By making use of their greed. Verde used violence, but I take a much more capitalist approach. The job specialization is for fairness. Kobold Warrior spends seven days a week keeping order. His job is more important than a regular laborer kobold.

5.Only breed with people who want to be bred by you.
Fun fact, Verde the green dragon had a breeding pit where he’d just throw kobolds in and had a daily egg quota or he’d fire breath down into the pit. The kobolds pulled out of the pit had some warped ideas on breeding. That is working on being fixed, but what’s harder to fix is the mental scars that it left. I’m going to have to teach one of these lizards about Sigmund Frued and set his job as a therapist because there are six kobold females who are frantically pumping out eggs with the fear that they will die if they don’t produce enough offspring. I don’t know how to handle that kind of PTSD. Another fun fact about kobolds is that the gestation period is only two weeks and they are fully grown after one month. Meaning unless I restrict their personal freedom to breed then this tribe's growth rate is 6+ new kobolds every two weeks. Verde kept the population in control by eating them, but I can’t do that. In a few months this cave will be packed full of kobolds. Another problem for me to handle.
More rules will come as situations arise.
To combat the looming over population we began to move outside of the cave. I used my earth magic to shape bricks and the kobolds stacked them into houses. The roofs were made of wooden planks. I cleared some of the trees from the base of the mountain with my new Wind Cutter spell. One cast can cut a tree in two. Then the kobolds move in to dig up the stumps. I intended to use this area for agriculture. Though finding the seeds has proven tedious. We focus on clearing a field for when we eventually do find some. We made the field cose to the river. It should be fertile soil. What makes you think that? Well the ancient Egyptians put their fields next to a river. That was because the Nile frequently flooded, when the floods receded it left silt deposits behind. Whatever Eris, not like we can move it now. It'd be nice if you could say something useful for once. Useful, like how you’re being surrounded by knights. What? A twig breaks in the distance. I order the kobolds to retreat to the cave. They scramble up the rocks while I take the closest defensive position.

From Fake Dreams
The Magus Killer was dying. He had done all he could to be a Hero and save as many people as he could. He killed his father to do it. He killed his adopted mother to do it. He killed his wife in the hopes to put an end to the need to do it ever again. He failed in rescuing his daughter as a result of his efforts. All he had left was a cursed and failing body, a sizable yet antiquated home in Fuyuki Japan, and his adoptive amnisiac son whose life he had destroyed in the first place. And then the dreams came. Dreams of War, Fire, Curses, unborn Gods, Heroes, and Monsters. Dreams of unresolved conflicts, promises, dreams, and tasks. Dreams with his nearly clueless son in the middle of it all. The Magus Killer was dying. But he could still prepare for what was to come. And fortunately, that was something he was still terrifyingly exceptional at. Currently at chapter 60 on FF.net

Shadow Falls
If you wanted to protect someone you loved, how far would you go, and what would you be willing to sacrifice? This question is at the core of this emotional rollercoaster of the book, Shadow Falls: the Rise and Fall of Erida VanIsle. This book emerged from four years of collaborative storytelling centering on the main character, Erida VanIsle, written by author Myra VanIsle. In this book, VanIsle goes beyond the events that led to Erida's sacrifice and explores forty-five years of the cost she paid to protect the sister she loved more than life itself. Shadow Falls explores the family tragedy which led to the separation of two sisters on completely different paths polar opposite of each other. While Erida set upon a path of darkness and power, Myra set out to be a beacon of light and hope bringing justice and peace to others. Be warned, the story VanIsle tells is dark and not easy, because you can't have the light without the dark.
