Chapter name: Are We Right Or Wrong?

Zetsu and Kuji started moving and halfway to the tower they saw someone laying on the ground.

"Mister Gatekeeper!" Zetsu called out.

They ran over to Jiro.

"Hey, are you alright?" Kettei asked.

"Well… tsk. That Giju guy beat me, but for some reason he left me alive."

"Huh? Why would he do that isn't he our enemy?" Zetsu asked.

"He is only here for the tower, but you still have to stop him." Jiro answered.

"And my name is Jiro." He added.

"Okay Mister Jiro, we will be sure to stop him!" Zetsu said.

Kettei nodded.

"Jiro, can you stand?" Kettei asked.

"Yeah, just give me a bit. I'll be fine." Jiro said slowly pushing himself up.

What are you standing around for? Go on!" Jiro exclaimed.

"Right, let's go Zetsu." Kettei said.

He gave a nod and both of them resumed their travel.

Giju was waiting for Zetsu and Kettei to arrive.

If the great tower spirit doesn't want to awaken me, then I just have to find a way to force it.

But first….

Zetsu and Kettei finally made it to the tower and entered the building, as they saw Guji in front of them.

I got to defeat them!

"Ha, you finally made it." Giju said.

"Just cut the crap already and give up." Kettei suggested.

"And why should I, after I came so far?" Giju wondered.

"We already took care of your comrades." Kettei answered.

"Eh, so be it." Giju responded.

"You don't even care?!" Zetsu questioned.

"Listen kid, they came here for their own reason and accepted the potential risks. Them being defeated is just an act of failure, something that I had to endure my entire life!" Giju answered.

"Giju you know this is not going to end well for you, just stop this madness while you still can." Kettei tried to reason with him.

"Don't try to reason with me, when I did the same to others in the past they would never listen to me and beat me down to the ground!" Giju replied.

"But it doesn't matter anymore, I will ask you one last time. Just let me do my research in peace!" Giju added.

"You know I can't." Kettei replied.

"Why because it's not in Nyoto's interest? You know damn well that they don't give a damn about this place. All they are interested in is staying in the new capital after Sokyo took it many decades ago." Giju rambled.

“Anyways, enough I am tired of this!” Giju added and used a magic attack!

Mana Beams: Rotation x2.5!

Both Kettei and Zetsu dodged the attack. Giju fired off another beam, which Kettei blocked with his barrier while Zetsu countered with a Piercing Blast, but failed because Giju used his thrusters to evade that attack and then flyed towards him using A Mana Infused Punch x2.5 to hit him. Zetsu made a Shield but Guji broke right through, sending him flying against one of the pillars.

“Zetsu!” Kettei yelled.

“Tell me why is it wrong to want to be the same as anyone else! Why is it wrong to try to reach my dream?! I tried to do it fairly, but people always devalue me, discriminate against me and now I have had it.” Giju shouted.

Giju used a magic attack.

Mana Blast Rain! x2.5!

Giju Held his hand up as a large mana ball formed which he shot up the sky. The ball hovered mid air, as it started releasing small bursts of beams against Kettei in addition Giju also moved around shooting blasts at Kettei giving him a hard time.

“Zetsu, seek cover!” Kettei ordered.

Zetsu recovered and moved behind the pillar.

While Kettei was dodging the beams, he was trying to come up with a plan.

Darn it, he is keeping between us and tries to take me out from afar, but I am too fast for him to hit. I might have to increase my base power and attack him with an attack that damages the suit without killing him. I could use Mini Nova, but it's simply too powerful. Unless I can make it even smaller! Kettei thought.

But suddenly Giju stopt his ranged attacks and went in for close combat instead.

Crap, he is coming towards me. I need to send a constant flow of mana to my hands or else I will break my arms blocking those hits.

Kettei used a magic spell.

Nova Magic: Constant Mana Flow!

A red aura appeared around his hands, as Giju finally came into his range. He started rapidly punching him, but Kettei deflected all of them, where then Giju went for a roundhouse kick, but Kettei evaded it by lowering his head.

Now is my chance to pull off the new improvised move!

Kettei saw an opening and used a magic attack.

Nova Magic: Centi Nova!

A small ball of 1 cm formed out of the palm of his hand and fired it off against the core of Giju's suit, which caused an explosion as the suit was now surrounded by electric charges.

Proto: Suit about to explode in 10 seconds!

"Proto Eject!" Guji shouted.

The back of the suit opened and Guji got pushed out, as 3 seconds later the suit exploded. Giju fell on the ground and stood back up.

"Now please just give up, we took care of your toy." Kettei said with an annoyed face.

"Do you think I was done yet, I still have one more trick up my sleeve!" Giju said.

"Oh come on!" Kettei commented.

"You people are trying so hard to stop me, even though I am not doing anything wrong here. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to become a mage to protect the people, but after I became Typeless. I started to learn that this world isn't black and white or grey. This world is every single damn colour of the rainbow! Filled with hypocrites, power consumed, sado-masochists only caring about their own interests. I feel like a fool for trying to give my life to the garbage society that wanted to get rid of me." Giju added.

"Don't say all of that, there are plenty of people who think differently including me. You are fine the way you are, so please just stop this" Zetsu argued.

"I appreciate your thoughtfulness, but it's just that you are pure now. Later in your life you are bound to become just like them. Corrupted by their disgusting mindset." Giju replied.

"Hey, how would you know?!" Kettei reacted.

"Shut it, I don't want to hear anything from you, since you're just Nyoto's lapdog." Giju responded.

"I don't even know why you are doing this, when you are on the level of an elite mage, like you can even beat Buro with that suit. Why don't you just try applying again?" Kettei suggested.

"What don't you see that I am Typeless! Don't you know how it feels to be looked down upon, be resented, wishing that I was dead? They won't accept me, even if I gave them 10 million Jen, but OF COURSE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE YOU ARE BLESSED!" Giju shouted.

"You piece of crap! You have no idea what story lays behind this power, what had to be sacrificed to stand alive before you today. Don't act as if you are the only one suffering in this world, because lots of us do!" Kettei yelled back.

"I don't care! I'm done with this, you people just need to leave me alone. I will no longer have the desire to protect this society, because you're all scum! But I will become a mage no matter what because… it's my dream and I won't let anyone take that away from me. This is why I got to take you both here and now." Giju replied.

"Time to show you my trump card!"

Giju pulled 4 hexagon shaped items and applied it on his bare upper arm and legs.

"See here my ultimate invention.."

"The exopads!"

Last resort for his dream.

Giju Yakuso (Exopads)

"What?!" Zetsu reacted.

"These pads multiply my power by 4."

In return they put heavy strain on the muscles, I only have 3 minutes, so I have to take them down before that time limit!

"Darn it! Zetsu be on guard!" Kettei warned.

"Right!" He replied.

Giju used a magic attack.

Mana Beams: Rotation x4!

"Crap!" Kettei cursed while he dashed over to Zetsu just in time and used a barrier to protect the both of them, as after that the barrier broke.

"Woah, you quite pack the punch huh?" Kettei said.

"I sure do, time to put an end to this!"

Giju's magic power has risen exponentially, so I will increase my base power to 35% and my Constant Mana Flow is still active, this should be enough to defeat him!

Giju used a magic spell.

Mana Enhancement!

He dashed at Kettei with an enormous speed and gave him a flying kick, which was blocked. Upon the impact, a gust of wind made Zetsu get pushed against one of the pillars.

"Gah!"

"Zetsu, stay back and seek cover!" Kettei instructed.

"But I want to help!" Zetsu yelled.

"No , it's dangerous!" Kettei replied.

"The fight is here!" Giju shouted as he punched Kettei in the face.

He was sent flying but recovered mid air.

Giju used a magic attack.

Mana Blast Volley x4!

He shot multiple blasts as Kettei kept evading them, but each time the blast seemed closer to hitting them.

AH there must be something I could do for him!

Zetsu looked at his hand.

Wait!

My drill attack, since it can pierce through other types of magic including mana, but I need to wait for him to do a beam attack first.

As the Blast Volley was finally over Giju instantly switched to Mana Beam x4 aiming straight for Kettei.

Damn I underestimated him. Kettei thought as he had no way of dodging it.

When suddenly Zetsu appeared in front of him as he used a magic attack.

Pierce Magic: Piercing Drill!

The light green drill formed around his left hand and started to spin, as soon after the beam and the drill collided.

The beam got split in 2 as Zetsu was now pushing through it with all his might.

"Haaaaaaaa!!"

Managed to push it all the back as it disappeared, but just when Zetsu wanted to get a direct hit in the drill deactivated.

Oh no!

Guji gave a smile of victory.

"Zetsu move, now!" Kettei screamed.

Without hesitation Zetsu sidestepped to the left.

Wait, what! Giju thought.

Thank you for buying time Zetsu!

Kettei used a magic attack.

Nova Magic: Nova Punch!

Kettei got a clean hit in Guji's stomach as he was sent flying, falling on the ground.

Guji was having a hard time standing up.

"Zetsu." Kettei called.

"Yes?"

"I am sorry I doubted your power, I myself should have known you are a formiddle magic user." Kettei apologised.

"Haha no worries here, thank you for the compliment." Zetsu said with a smile.

Tsk, I am out of time. My muscles hurt so much to the point I can't stand up anymore. I can't believe they stopped me from reaching my dream. They are nothing more but absolute filth! Giju thought.

"You thought you had won huh……"

Kettei and Zetsu looked at Guji with a questioning face.

"If I can't have my dream fulfilled, then I will just blow this entire tower into bits and pieces!"

"What?!" Zetsu reacted.

"Crap!" Kettei cursed.

Giju used one final magic attack.

I will pour all of my remaining magic power into this!

Mana Expansion x4!

Suddenly a ball of mana started to expand around his body at a rapid pace.

"Darn it, I can't do anything against this!" Kettei said with a bit of panic in his voice.

"Not on my watch!" A female voice said.

It was the Great Tower Spirit Rika and she used a magic spell

"Rika!" Zetsu shouted with happiness.

Great Mana Magic: Containment!

Rika reached out her to the expanding force and put a thick light blue transparent barrier around it. It was not able to grow any further and successfully got stopped, as the expanding mana force disappeared.

Rika deactivated her spell and Kettei didn't hesitate for a moment, as he instantly used Circle Restraint to tie him up.

"Phew I was just in time!" Rika sighed.

"Thank you for helping us." Zetsu said.

"I mean it's my duty to protect the tower after all, haha." Rika laughed.

"Zetsu, I just heard from Hana that the Nyotorian authorities are here, so we gotta move." Kettei said while he carried Giju on his shoulder like a rice bag.

Kettei disabled his constant mana flow and returned his base back to 10%.

"Let me ask one more thing please.” Zetsu said

“Okay go ahead I’ll move on ahead.” Kettei replied while starting to move.

“Let go of me you filth!” Giju shouted.

“Nope!”

Kettei left along with Giju.

“So what did you want to ask me?” Rika questioned.

“Why does Giju not have a magic type like the rest?” Zetsu wondered.

“It's because they have an affinity for corrupted magic.” Rika replied.

“Huh?” Zetsu reacted.

“Corrupted magic is an early stage power for a demonic vessel.” Rika explained.

“You are saying that!...”

“Yes he has the potential to become possessed if he succumbed into darkness when he awakens, that is why the tower rejected him.” Rika confirmed Zetsu’s thoughts.

“But does he know that?” Zetsu asked.

“No, and please keep silent about this to anyone, I am entrusting you with this information, as I am expecting great things from you. Now go, the rest is waiting for you.” Rika said.

“How do you know more people are waiting for me?” Zetsu questioned.

“I am the Great Tower Spirit. I can see everything happening around Sokyo haha.” Rika answered.

“I see, well uhh bye?” Zetsu waved.

Rika waved back with a smile.

Zetsu nodded and ran off.

“Now it's time to go back to research.” Rika said as she disappeared.

After a while Zetsu made it to the stronghold gate he saw Hanna, Diazo, Haizo, Kettei and the captured enemies, as well as 2 cars with 3 other people wearing a black police outfit.

“Hey Zetsu!” Kettei called.

Zetsu ran over to him.

“Hey kid, thanks for helping to stop these criminals.” The person said.

“Who are you?” Zetsu wondered.

The man had black hair and red eyes and was wearing black police outfits with the letters “N.T.F.O.A” on it.

“I am..”

Handler of outside city affairs

Jodu Misaya!

“And I am with the Nyoto Task Force in the Department of Outside Affairs.”

“Oh do you need to ask me anything?” Zetsu wondered.

“No need, we asked everyone already and have enough info, now if you would excuse me, we will take the offenders and have a nice interrogation. See you around.”

Joju gave a signal to his 2 female colleagues and grabbed the 3 of them, but before they were put into the car Guji said something.

“You know I guess this was stupid for me to do, but why am I wrong, I still don’t that.”

With that he, Buro and Sara got put inside the car and drove off.

“Hey Kettei, since we won, let's have a victory party!” Hanna shouted at him.

“Wait up, I first need to have a small chat with Zetsu!” He shouted back.

“Wha?” Zetsu reacted.

“Come with me.” Kettei said.

“Okay.” Zetsu replied.

After a 5 minute run Kettei started talking.

“After having seen you fight alongside me, I can say for certain that you have major potential, so I was thinking.. Do you want to transfer worlds and do your middle school here? I can get you in by Elite Recommendation.” Kettei asked.

Woah, wait if I do this. I will be a step closer to the truth of the Shibuya Incident, but then I have to leave Kuji and Dad behind. I know Detsu doesn’t want that… but back in Tokyo I am nothing more than a failure that has anything going.

“You seem to be hesitant. Do you perhaps need time to think?" Kettei questioned.

"No, I accept your offer." Zetsu said with a clear voice.

"Oh that was fast, can I ask you what made you accept my offer so easily?" Kettei wondered.

"Well, normally taking time to think seems like the usual thing to do, but back in my world I am nothing more than a failure, that gives my dad a hard time as he has to raise me, while he has to work very hard for the company as he holds a high position." Zetsu continued.

"And my best friend went to a lower level high school along with me just because he wants to hang out, while he is a very smart person with a bright future ahead of him. I always felt useless, but today that feeling was different as I could help people hold off against the enemy. Of course I still have a long way to go, but I am willing to give it my all as I am searching for answers."

"Hmm.. I see Zetsu. I will send you a mana link please accept it." Kettei instructed.

A light blue line came out Kettei's stomach and connected with Zetsu's.

"Huh?" Zetsu reacted.

"Don't resist it, give it the permission to connect." Kettei commented.

"Ah okay."

Zetsu breathed slowly and relaxed his muscles as the connection had now been established.

Kettei: Hey Zetsu how is it going!

"Wait, Kettei I can hear in my head!" Zetsu said, amazed.

"Seems like it is working, now we are able to communicate at any time." Kettei explained.

"But now it's time to go over the details." Kettei added.

"Kettei?"

"Yes?"

"Can you give me 2 days to say goodbye?" Zetsu asked.

"Of course haha, but only 2 days? I thought you were going to take more time. Seems like I will have to speed up the process." Kettei answered.

"I will have to leave now, I will contact you when I am done, then we can go over your details." Zetsu said.

"Sure, bye bye!" Kettei waved.

Zetsu created a portal and left.

Kettei ran back to the stronghold entrance where everyone was waiting.

"Hey Kettei, wait where is Zetsu?" Hana asked.

"He went ahead and left for another stronghold to pick him up." Kettei answered.

"Ah okay." Hana replied.

"Now that we are all here, let's move it because I am in a party mood!" Daizo said.

"Yeah just like high school times!" Haizo added.

"So that is what you 2 were going during that time, no wonder y'all failed." Hana commented.

"Hey!" Both of them shouted.

"I am just glad that we finally can have some fun again." Jiro said.

"Same here." Kettei added.

All of them started entering the stronghold as Kettei stopped and looked back one final time.

Zetsu, I am sure that you will become a great mage.

Keep it up.

Kettei turned around and catched up with the rest, he had a smile on his face.

"What is it?" Hana asked.

"Uhh nothing."
