After Grievous' failure to procure the kyber crystals on Utapau, Count Dooku began to enact his top secret plan hidden even to his master, Darth Sidious that would tip the balance in his favor once and for all. Before the Clone Wars even began, Dooku used both his fortune

and influence to hire explorers, archeologists, scientists, and mercenaries to unearth the remnants of the Star Forge commanded by the ancient Sith Lord, Darth Revan thousands of years ago.

Dooku would then reverse engineer the tech and then use it in conjunction with the force to build a generator that would vastly increase his strength, speed, durability, intelligence, life span, and force power, transforming him into a Force God. Dooku dubbed this plan as 'Project Ascension.' The change had only just begun and Dooku could already feel himself becoming stronger, but the process was interrupted by a Republic strike team consisting of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Captain rex, Captain Cody, and a handful of other clones.

Anakin and Obi-Wan immediately went to battle Dooku with the intent to capture while the other members of the strike team went to disable the space station they were on. The duel between Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Dooku lasted less than a second due to the fact that Dooku was dazed by the process being interrupted, Dooku angrily made his escape leaving the jedi and clones to destroy the station and the generator it housed with baradium fission devices set to go of in 30 minutes, more than enough time for the strike team to escape without a scratch. The was completely vaporized in the blast, but because of the baradium and the generator made from the star forge and the force, the explosion caused a red giant sized tear in space and time, forever connecting the galaxy to another…

In the Milky Way, it's been one year since the Reapers were destroyed and the year has been filled with nothing but peace, prosperity, and reconstruction. The Krogan have now been cured of the genophage and Urdnot Wrex, Bakara, and Grunt are leading the Krogan to new found glory and the seth survived the destructive wave because they stored thousands of geth programs in a server deep under the crust and into the mantle of Rannoch and are now at peace with the quarians who are slowly having their immune systems jump started.

The salarians are tolerating the krogans while the turians see the krogan as heroes and friends. Liara T'Soni and Javik are traveling the galaxy while writing novels and discovering more mysteries of the Milky Way. Engineers Kenneth Donnelly, Gabriel "Gabby" Daniels, and Gregory Adams were able to repair EDI, but she's missing some of her memories. John Shepard, the first human spectre along with Tali'Zorah and the rest of the Normandy have been doing routine delivery runs and keeping the peace whenever conflict happens.

Everyone is rebuilding what they lost while they mourn those who died to make this possible and to make their sacrifices worth it. Everything is going swell, until the planet right next to where the Citadel was, the planet located in the Serpent Nebula, Bekensein disappears and is replaced by an ominous red giant-sized tear in space and time.

As the glowing rift floats silently, ominously in space, scientists from both sides of the rift are desperately trying to figure out what exactly is going on. In the Rayath galaxy, as the scientist argues with the military and politicians over what course to take, Jedi Grand Master Yoda along with Mace Windu sense that the force itself is going into the rift, bleeding into whatever lies on the other side. Meanwhile, in the Milky Way, ex-Cerberus scientist, Dr. Brynn Cole leads the science expedition to the rift, Dr. Gavin Archer growing impatient fires a probe into the rift. Once it exits out the other side of the rift, the Rayath scientists see the alien probe and attempt to capture it, but the probe manages to evade the tractor beams and re-enters the rift.

After quickly acknowledging that there is life on the other side of the rift and that it was safe for matter to pass through, Yoda suggests that he, Windu, Senator Organa, and a small squad of clones travel to the other side of the rift and meet with these new arrivals.

Once across the rift, they are surrounded by a massive fleet with all of their gun pointed at them. Mace Windu then sends the fleet a message in the form of a math equation, it reads, "We mean you no harm and wish to talk." Admiral Hackett reluctantly tells all ships to stand down and has this envoy meet him, John Shepard, and the council. After the initial shock of finding out these aliens are from another galaxy and that a large number of them are EXTREMELY human like, the Milky Way and the Galactic Republic would begin negotiations over trade and future alliances, but during these crazy and exciting new events, the Confederacy of Independent Systems (C.I.S.) would go through a great change right under the Republic and Jedi's noses.
